Because unlike movie bob, he has evidence. Funny how that works when youtube has better citations than the journalists.

And better yet, why listen to someone on a side who gets his material from a PR firm that has admitted to be biased and tied to a think tank that has admitted in text that their assertions are never taken seriously in peer review and debunked immediately?

Let me guess, we should listen to mcdonalds when they say they make the best hamburgers out of the best ingredients and cooked by gourmet chefs too huh? Because lets be honest here, no one should listen to PR on anything.

Evidence? That is very funny. Given his history of misrepresenting information I wouldn't even trust him to handle it.

Maybe you don't really get it but evidence means little if 1. your argument sucks. 2. You deliberately misrepresent that evidence to create a false narrative.

Someone doesn't magically become trustworthy just because they have 'evidence'.

IA is far from the most unbiased source, but neither is moviebob. In fact, both are rather blatant about their bias and leanings. Why not be an adult, see what both have to say, weigh the merit of their arguments and the evidence they present, and then reach your own conclusion without being told what to think?

Why not be an adult, see what both have to say, weigh the merit of their arguments and the evidence they present, and then reach your own conclusion without being told what to think?

They are very different. MovieBob is a wonderfully professional dynamic individual of great esteem, someone I'd love to chat with. IA is an insufferable jerk who gets his politics from an anime themed imageboard.

He may be racist but realistically so are a lot of people and you agree with all of them about a lot of stuff daily, hourly even. Why would his opinions in one area affect the truth of his opinions in a completely unrelated area?

EDIT: For example: a lot of historical figures that people 'look up' to were racist, sexist and all the other nasty -ists.

He has a political opinion that is different from yours. That doesn't invalidate his argument or evidence he provides about a completely separate topic. Hell, that doesn't invalidate his argument or evidence about his political opinions, it just means he came to a different conclusion than you did.

If you can't see how intellectually lazy and regressive it is to dismiss the entirety of a separate viewpoint because you disagree with it, then I'm not sure what more can be said here. All I will say is that I'm sorry for your loss.

I think the people who claim Bob should be fired are being ridiculous, that's up to the people who run The Escapist to decide, but I think the backlash we're seeing is deserved, Movie Bob can be right about stuff, but he can also be wrong, and he's been wrong quite a lot recently, I say that when you're willing to defend widespread corruption then some backlash should be expected, we certainly wouldn't allow a real political reporter to get away with defending a politician caught in a corruption scandal

Ok you seem to be mad that he likes things that he likes and dislikes things he dislikes. As for him not admitting faults in things he likes and not seeing the good in things he doesn't, while I admit he can get angry when he hates something I have yet to see him fail to point out flaws in things he likes, even if they are minor. And as for him "ignoring hugely flawed and terrible things", media and art criticism is by definition subjective [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critic]. Just because he doesn't share your opinion or the opinion of the majority of people does not automatically make him wrong.

Would depend on the job, I would imagine most places would give you a verbal warning first, though, the managers where I work would probably just laugh. Hell, some of them have said/done worse. x) I remember one time one took a whole prawn and tied strings to its legs just so he could film it dancing around on his phone.

Perhaps none of them should be fired, but from Critical Miss to Jimquisition to the Editor Tito himself there is near agreement on the basics of their 'SJW' ideology. So how about some diversity? Bring in some fresh voices with fresh ideas that challenge these ideologues and there cosy consensus.
