Don't go on an online message board whining about it would be my number one piece of advice. Go get some real advice from a professional.

With the amount of detail you have given all I can say is don't drink alcohol (it made my friend more depressed) and go get some professional help.

Ive coped with depression. And all I can say is, staying inside will not help. You might not feel like it, but everyday you stay inside is a day you couldve gone out and met new people.

Also, exercise really helps you get over depression. I joined a gym, once I began seeing results I instantly became happier. I had self-confidence and generally became much more positive about things.

George Carlin also helped me give a more cynical view on the worlds problems. In case those thinsg worry you. I actually helped a ladyfriend of mine with her problem of "I think the world would be better off if all humans were dead" by recommending watching George Carlin.

Late for what? If you drink then stop and its never too late for professional help... unless you kill the person helping you.

I've suffered from depression for a while. It is hard to get through, but realize that there is an end to it at some point.

Also, call up some friends or, if that is the problem, family and ask them to go out. They should be more than willing to do things with you in this stressful time, so use their help.

As people have said above, don't be afraid to talk to a doctor or a therapist. Going to a therapist doesn't make you less of a sane person than others. They are there to help you in your time of need. I've seen a therapist pretty much my whole entire life and I am all the better for it.

So yes, definitely go to someone who you trust, like a pastor, teacher, aunt, uncle, etc. for guidance. You can make it through this.

Drop me an e-mail if you want to talk more.

I meant late as in i was always the person who never drank but since the depression hit I've been drinking more and more and how much to therapist cost I'm not sure i could afford it

Then do what I do and ruin someone elses life. Or get some new friends and stop drinking. And just stop feeling emotion. Thats all I got sorry.

Have you confided in anyone in real life?

Normally depressed people need a strong willed person to chat with them, why are you depressed? do you abuse any substances?, or have you a poor diet?

Firstly go get some mineral water and some fruit, I recomend Banana's since they are full of potassium which you brain users to create good mood hormones, it may help a little.

Go in for sports.
Helps you overcome light depressions and is beneficial for clinical depressions (in conjuction with medicine). So go outside and do some running, cycling, swimming, whatever you like.
Video games won't help unfortunately.

If you've felt depressed for a while then I'd recommend seeing a doctor about it. They can arrange therapy for you so you can work out the cause of it and find ways of coping with it. I'd strongly recommend not using anti-depressants because all they do is mask the real problem. I was on them a few years ago and they made me suicidal. I heard voices telling me to kill myself all the time. Not fun =/

George Carlin worked as a therapist for me too :) I also think that world will be better without people around, you think that's wrong? :/
