i think im going to start a petition to ban the ability to ban things. or to have mandatory IQ tests that if you fail results in immediate castration so these kinds of people can finally just die out.

nobody tell them that there's a dictionary on the internet, or they'll ban that next.

That, sir, is my quote of the day (well... quote of tomorrow since today is almost over for me)

Yeah... this is pretty retarded. Besides, EVERY kid looks up funny words in dictionaries. I remember snickering with my friends when we found out gay means happy and ****** is a bundle of sticks[/quote]

Yeah, not all of America is stupid! [small]just a large portion of it...[/small]

I'm a pretty intelligent American but I don't know if I fully count since everyone else in my family is British and I'm the 1st American born.

Good, because I can't even count on ten fingers the amount of times I've caught Little Johnny having oral sex in the closet.

actually that is a myth that started when states decided to have tort reform, Ive never found evidence of that actually happening and Ive looked, its one of those stories that is designed to foster distrust of the legal system and generally make it harder to sue, which is both good and bad
Well, there;s plenty of real examples, I just dont know them.
there are some real examples but there is also allot of misinformation out there not to mention that even if the headlines say "so and so wins 100 million" that doesn't mean they get that, almost every lawsuit ends up way down in appeals, sometimes so much so that you end up having to pay the lawyer out of your own pocket, the big numbers make the headlines, the small numbers dont

Exactly.

This is so over the top I don't even know what to think of it.

If they want to know they'll find out whether you ban the dictionary or not. Its a useful tool.

... i dont' remember oral sex being in the dictionary actually... I guess I was a mature little kid that either looked it up and was scarred by it so little that I can't even remember it, or it wasn't there.

Anti-intellectualism at its finest So Cal!

Some people in this world can be so stupid. How about blocking Wikipedia from school computers while you're at it.

That the American Legal system lets a robber sue the owners of a home if they slip and fall and hurt themselves, because there is no railing (they can sue enough to get bail, and yes, it can happen)

Well there are two stories my law teacher told. One is of a robber who won a court case against a family because he got trapped in there house while they were on vacation and had to eat dog food. The second is of a man who thought his Winnebago's (or some other brand) cruise control actually drove the car for him. Now they have to put that in the owners manual.
