Did Left 4 Dead Ruin Valve

What the FUCK? Half Life 2 sold over 6 million copies (not counting the orange box or steam sales), and L4D has sold no where near that many. Also, HL2 is as action packed as L4D (except for the odd seesaw puzzle, and after Episode 3, Valve are making more Half Life games. And I resent the assumption that all gamers under 18 are whiny pricks. I, and my friends are not, and please, stop using this shitty stereotype.

I don't think anyone know how to read these days.

O.T. do you know what the word HYPOTHETICAL means, it means not a real fact, it could be downsized or upscaled.

The 1 million and 2 million thing was just an easy way to get my point across.

And you do know that Half Life 2 has been out FOR YEARS, left 4 dead has only been out for about 3 quarters of a year and it's sales are amazing for the timie period.

And I'm not saying everyone in the 5-20 year old (and yes i've seen 5 year olds playing the game) range is an unintuecual, just most, you and your friends may not fall into that catagory, you may fall into the intuecual catagory (because the word generaly means most, not all dumbass).

And regardles of how many sales each game got, Left 4 Dead made huge amounts of money so Valve will follow that money train.

I was saying that your entire theory is shit because L4D is not a better seller than Half Life and won't be, given that L4D2 is coming out this year. And to be honest, I have not heard a single teenager or child being a prick with the microphone in all my games of TF2, L4D or CoD 4. But, to be honest, Erana said it better than me:

No, no, that was perfect. Really, it was. I think this guy thinks he's a great gamer and is awesome but has gotten his ass kicked in L4D and now he hates it. His post has got that whiny self-righteous tone to it that is best associated with those ass hats from Whale Wars. And he's probably still made Valve cares more about L4D2 than making new seesaw or "Hide the door behind a pile of rubbish" puzzles for HL2:E3.

Excuse me, I'm terrable at Left 4 Dead now, you are completely wrong. i'm one of the best in my group and always seem to be either the last survivor or the one that helps the team up when THEY get THEIR ass handed to them.

To me, the Half-Life series is the best series of FPSes I have ever played.

Valve are just trying something different. That is fine to me. Primarily they do puzzle/action games, now they tried a cooperative/action game.

I do understand and agree, that many of the L4D community are a bunch of complaining twats, that's why I like playing it with friends, since only 3 are needed, but there are also some nice people out there.

Yeah, because Zoey is ugly as hell. Alyx is sexy, and I'd "tap" that, mainly because she looks like Rosario Dawson Zoey would of looked better if she was a little tan instead of pale with black hair. They should of gave her light brown hair, as well. That would of made her decent looking xD

IMO, Left 4 Dead is way better than Half-Life 2. But I don't see how you can call Half-Life more intellectual than L4D. L4D, you shoot all zombies that move. HL2, you shoot all enemies that move, and occasionally you do a puzzle involving a seesaw. Both games have high kill rates, and I'd say the orchestration between 4 people would require more thought than knowing that boxes weigh more than air.

I liked every valve game so far, and every company has their "lesser" titles (some people view HL2 as this, some L4D) valve just has less games so the "lesser" game stands out more.

Playing L4D still requires intelligence, and it's really a big puzzle. You have 4 people with guns facing a large horde of zombies with some special zombies that have special abilities. Figuring out and coordinating a way through the zombie horde requires teamwork and usually a plan if you don't want to end up dead. So it isn't the game's fault at all. It's the people playing it, the people who don't care about teamwork and don't care about how the game was designed to be played.
