I am going to have to go with a petulant retort, and? Maybe I should have said it has a strong emo vibe or something but it just doesn't sound the least bit interesting.
...and in the two posts you've made on the topic you've expressed a complete misunderstanding of the material, followed by an age-based derision that doesn't actually fit, as reasons for not wanting to see the movie.

You're allowed to not want to see the movie. My point is that you seem to have written it off without even the basest understanding of what you've actually written off. It's fine with me if you don't want to see it. I was simply attacking the errors in your reasoning.

My reasons for seeing it are, it sounds crap what more of a reason do you need not to see something? If you think something is going to be crap you are reluctant to go and see it, if your funds are tight you don't go and spend cash on it.

People growing up and maturing has been done a number of times in both film and TV, big daddy and life unexpected spring to mind.

I originally didn't want to see it 'cos I thought it was some watchmen and kick ass off spring.

A medal for Captain Bigot Generalisation over here!!!!

They'll be too liberal will they? What precisely does this liberalism entail in a Romantic-Geek-Comedy?
Note that I said "Tend to", not "are".

And by liberal, I mean the non-political definition- easygoing, irresponsible, 'modern', 'alternative'. Wankers, basically.

It's still a generalisation, what you mean to say is that of the bi-sexual people you've met most seem to be "liberal". Given your attitude it would also be fair to suggest that you don't know any great number of bi-sexuals because a dislike of a group begets an avoidance of them.

I'm not going to argue with you on your opinion on bi-sexuals, repulsive as I find them.
However your use of liberal is completely wrong. You can't use liberal outside of a political sense unless you're talking about a "liberal helping" of something. Your definition of liberal isn't real. You can't argue against this point because it isn't an opinion, it's etymological fact.

I seen it in the theaters the day it came out. I had no experience with the books or anything and wasn't really a fan of Michael Cera in his films since Superbad (A bunch of Romance crap and the extremely unfunny Youth in Revolt.) I've gotta say as far as the movie goes and no sort of knowledge about the source material it was one of the greatest films I've seen in awhile dood. There is no denying this film has style if your fan of the visual aesthetic jam packed full of game references. The plot was simple, with a series of intricate turning that doesn't really stray folks too far off. That is to say it was a predictable end but taking the scenic route at some points. To make this summary short, this movie was just plain FUN. You know something that has been missing in MANY of the summer blockbuster films. If you didn't like the film on its story I suppose its merited but the film is likable dood.

I wanted to see it, but I couldn't stay out as late as I wanted because I had to attend a wedding the next day. I haven't gone to the theaters in a while.
No Excuse! I was getting married the next day and my entire wedding party went out to see it!

Twice. At the cinema. I never do that.

It was something I haven't seen in a while: just fun for the sake of fun.

I really liked the books, really liked the game but never got round to seein' the movie.
Apparently you get a code for a new character in the game with the DVD so... yeah. I have no reason to miss it on DVD.

Yes, and I thought it was absolutely hilarious, and had some great fight scenes as well. I don't like Michael Cera much (and only tolerated him in this movie), but I saw it anyway and have no regrets.

I didn't, but it's not because I didn't want to. It's just I prefer to wait for DvD release (Kroger Red Box FTW!), as I don't like going to the movie theater. It's way too expensive right now.

Oh, get off that high-horse- a brief analysis of the Dictionary proves the crux of your argument moot.

5. favoring or permitting freedom of action, esp. with respect to matters of personal belief or expression: a liberal policy toward dissident artists and writers.
6. of or pertaining to representational forms of government rather than aristocracies and monarchies.
7. free from prejudice or bigotry; tolerant: a liberal attitude toward foreigners.
8. open-minded or tolerant, esp. free of or not bound by traditional or conventional ideas, values, etc.
9. characterized by generosity and willingness to give in large amounts: a liberal donor.

See the bolded parts? Yeah, that's what I meant just then by liberal

Huh... Good to see I still can debate.

It's still a generalisation, what you mean to say is that of the bi-sexual people you've met most seem to be "liberal". Given your attitude it would also be fair to suggest that you don't know any great number of bi-sexuals because a dislike of a group bigots an avoidance of them.
Oh for pity's sake, I know it's a generalization! I didn't deny it. You want a clarification of my position?

I know quite a lot of people (15-ish) who claim to be Bisexuals, and the vast majority of them are just a bunch of trendy, over-educated ponces who really don't know the difference between their backside and their mouth. Most of them have only been in Heterosexual relationships, but still throw claims around that they're Bi. People make the claim, a lot of the time, as a fashion statement. A lot of people who make claims as fashion statements are tossers. Okay, so their not Bisexuals; but that still leaves the impression that a lot of people who claim to be bisexuals are just fakers.

Of the 3-or-so people out of that 15 that actually have engaged in relations with both men and women, all three grind my gears. I suppose I'm a bit out of touch with the world today, but I can't stand them; the promiscuous, whiny, over-educated, socialist nonces.

I'm not saying that every single bisexual on the planet is doing it for the 'street cred', or that all genuine bisexuals are tossers, but the small portion of the Bisexual community I know doesn't account for the entirety of it.

Just having had such a bad relationship with bisexuals I know of has created a negative pre-disposition towards them.

I'm not a bigot, just a tad judgemental- and I can always be proved wrong.

I'm not going to argue with you on your opinion on bi-sexuals, repulsive as I find them.
Fair enough.

Will you argue with me on my very biased and negative opinion on students from Leicester who are small-time rockers? I really need some rage.
