I wish this was a poll. I'd throw in with the 'she's gonna be ugly' crowd. Also the crowd that wasnt endeared to her personality, as other members of this forum seem to have a hard on for.
Internet Kraken said:that she had already planned out several ways to kill Garrus just because he was a Turian. Same can't be said for Tali.
I don't recall her saying either of those and I've played both games through multiple times.Internet Kraken said:I mean at one point in the game tali says "A single kiss could put me in the hospital".
And yet she can remove her entire suit to have sex and still be fit for combat less than a day afterwards. It's so painfully obvious that the Tali romance was a last minute addition.
Very much so.maddawg IAJI said:Isn't there more to a relationship then looks?

Actually, her "boomstick" remark was a reference to Evil Dead. she and the main character share a name, Ashley Williams. pic-http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/marveldatabase/images/thumb/5/50/Ashley_J._Williams_(Earth-818793).jpg/200px-Ashley_J._Williams_(Earth-818793).jpgscifidownbeat said:Oh god, that photo! augh!
I liked Tali better than any other female companion. Liara was silly, Ashley was a xenophobe (side note: "boomstick" was the Africans' name for the weapons Europeans carried during the Age of Exploration and slave trade. Therefore, Ashley is racist too), Miranda was too up-tight, and Jack was fucking nuts. It really is a no-brainer.
Even though you get to see more of the other's rocking bodies (sans Jack, that isn't a body in any effeminate sense. I think her character was meant to appeal to players looking for more rough-edged NPCs), Tali just has a great personality, and that alone is enough to let me forgo the other more immediately appealing options.
Agreed.JeanLuc761 said:Internet Kraken said:that she had already planned out several ways to kill Garrus just because he was a Turian. That said, a couple things:
1) It is entirely implied that they had sex but nowhere in the game was that actually confirmed. For all we know it could have been just a heavy make-out session.
2) Tali's romance is by FAR the most developed one in the entire game so I'm not sure where people are getting the "last minute addition" vibe.
I thought the Tali romance fit into the game flawlessly and that it was completely plausible.

Basically, the amino acids that make up a "dextro-protein" are arranged around the central carbon atom the opposite way that a human's are. A compound with a different chirality [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chirality_%28chemistry%29] might do nothing to a human, or it might have serious effects (like the complications with thalidomide). Every protein on Earth has left-handed amino acids, but it's pretty much just an arbitrary thing as far as I know. There's no reason right-handed amino acids couldn't happen elsewhere.Amnestic said:Quarians and Turians are 'dextro-protein' species while humans, asari etc. are 'levo-protein' species. No idea what that means on a biological level though.
Dude, I'm not even an ass man and I had to stop to admire that thing! Shit I'm losing my moral highground now aren't I?Shurikens and Lightning said:Bioware does know how to make... DAT ASS!T3h Merc said:She could be ugly as shit and I'd still love her. It's her personality that matters.

Bastilla, Handmaiden, Ashley, Tali, Liara, Femshep, and best of all: Miranda!
I want to work as a character designer for those people.
EDIT: and somebody explain how Tali got a Russian accent in the first place? She is an alien!
Its last minute because through the entire first game almost every conversation about the quarians implied that they need to keep their suits on to survive. Even on the Migrant Fleet, the only time they can take off the suits is to reproduce, and even then they have to do it on incrediably sterile ships.JeanLuc761 said:Internet Kraken said:that she had already planned out several ways to kill Garrus just because he was a Turian. Don't worry tho, I was only joking =p. If I told you I had a huge crush on Daniel Jackson in Stargate SG1 becuase of his personality, would you believe me? =D
Why even have a Love Interest then?Slash Dementia said:Hilarious picture...
I hate the way that the default Shepard looks. It's too stupid-looking.
As for Tali... I don't think she's hot, but I think Bioware will give her a cute face for Mass Effect 3; kind of like Liara.
She was chosen as the love interest for my first game because she's more interesting than the other choices.
And again I have to repeat myself. She took loads of antibiotics and herbal supplements to be with Shepard. The good doc also recommended Shep to completely sterilize before doing the deed.Irridium said:Its last minute because through the entire first game almost every conversation about the quarians implied that they need to keep their suits on to survive. Plus, even in Mass Effect 2, there are plenty of situations which state that quarians wneed their suits on to survive.
Well she doesn't say that she is planning to kill Garrus. She says that she has already planned out ways to kill Legion, which is just as bad.JeanLuc761 said:Internet Kraken said:that she had already planned out several ways to kill Garrus just because he was a Turian. It just happened; and I wanted to my character to have a love interest. At first it was going to be Kelly Chambers, but I saw spoilers...changed a few things and ended up with Tali.T3h Merc said:Why even have a Love Interest then?Slash Dementia said:Hilarious picture...

Ah, now this makes sense. Last minute, to me and I think I speak for many here, implies that you thought that the game was a month to the shipping date and someone at Bioware said: "You know what? Let's make Tali boink-able." Hence the confusion.Irridium said:Its last minute because through the entire first game almost every conversation about the quarians implied that they need to keep their suits on to survive.
