"Hmm... For ages women weren't allowed in the military? There's got to be some way to make them the victims... I KNOW, THEY'RE ALL HOUSEWIVES!!"
Not all patriotism, I for one love my country. I wouldn't join the army though, as I've never been convinced that the wars in my era have been worth fighting, when human life is the cost. I might be wrong though, why did you join?metagross111 said:UK, huh? Yeah, you guys would think all patriotism is misguided. Suck a dick. I didn't go on tour twice for no good reason.Dumbfish1 said:Everyone's a victim, whether they sign up to it out of a misguided sense of patriotism or they're caught in the crossfire.
A.) Lol feminist lobby. They sure have political clout, what with that ERA they haven't been able to get passed for longer than almost everyone on this forum has been alive.manythings said:Well the perception has always been "it's not suffering if it happens to a man". That's why so many laws protect women from men but very few take into account the fact that women do bad things too.
Depends on whether or not she knows she has the feminist lobby on her side.
Would you die for your country? Most wars are over stupid things and so many people die for no reason because there country finds them expendable.metagross111 said:UK, huh? legally they arent allowed to serve on the fronlines in the UK/US.Psycho-Toaster said:Of course, it's not like women join the army, don't be ridiculous.
Not to but in here, but I personally believe that although war can arise from stupid and petty situations (WWI, Vietnam, Iraq) the soldiers who fight so the war will end are still heroes.Trippy Turtle said:Would you die for your country? I forgot we're in the 1800's and women can't vote.Dags90 said:A.) Lol feminist lobby. B.) The quote is over a decade old, she wasn't even a Senator then. She was a First Lady.
They are heroes but of a battle that should not have been fought though. I could not think of a single reason I would want to join the army. I'm sure there would be a lot less wars if those that start them had to be in the front lines.Glass Joe the Champ said:Not to but in here, but I personally believe that although war can arise from stupid and petty situations (WWI, Vietnam, Iraq) the soldiers who fight so the war will end are still heroes.Trippy Turtle said:Would you die for your country? To use an imperfect analogy; if I start a fire in my house for a really stupid reason (say, spreading gasoline on the wall thinking it was paint, idk), the firemen who risk their lives to put it out are heroes even though their life is in danger because of an idiot.
No one is a victim, they're just statistic and acceptable losses.Trippy Turtle said:What are your opinions on this quote?
Just no. Everyone is a victim in war, the soldiers, the mourners, the innocent victims, everyone. If I had to choose the primary victims of war, it would be the innocent civilians, regardless of gender.Trippy Turtle said:"Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat."
- Hillary Clinton.
To be fair, the other one said it first.SODAssault said:How about YOU go suck a dick, because you told someone to go suck a dick and that's not very nice at all.thelonewolf266 said:How about you go suck a dick just cause one guy phrased his opinion in a hurtful(to you) way doesn't mean you can take the piss out of a whole country.metagross111 said:UK, huh? I don't think I could put it better than:Trippy Turtle said:"Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat."
- Hillary Clinton.
I Think this is a load of crap. I mean sure, it would be bad to lose a family member but it would be a whole lot worse to die in combat. I believe the true "Victims" of war are the civilians that die when they have no part in the war. What are your opinions on this quote?
