And that isn't so bad. The quote at least. Yeah she'd kind of saying things we already know, but it's not as bad as the OP is making it out to be.Dags90 said:The full quote, as delivered to something in El Salvador includes:Iconsting said:Implying of course that men and only men serve in combat. Fuck Hillary and her bullshit. If she runs, I'll vote Republican.
Context is important.Women are often the refugees from conflict and sometimes, more frequently in today's warfare, victims.
We'll have a good old sausage-fest with some nice cock-fights for the entertainment.Woodsey said:They are victims. Its not a load of shit, there's a very large debate about if/how anyone is the primary victim, but apart from that the point is entirely valid. She is a woman, so yeah, no shit that would be her first consideration.
To be fair, the other one said it first.SODAssault said:How about YOU go suck a dick, because you told someone to go suck a dick and that's not very nice at all.thelonewolf266 said:How about you go suck a dick just cause one guy phrased his opinion in a hurtful(to you) way doesn't mean you can take the piss out of a whole country.metagross111 said:UK, huh? It's rather awful snipping.Irridium said:And that isn't so bad. The quote at least. Yeah she'd kind of saying things we already know, but it's not as bad as the OP is making it out to be.
Hint: The speech its from is about domestic violence.Belzera said:Frankly, this is a silly arguement over a quote that may or may not be taken out of context.
We can all agree, that the primary victims are all of the civilians cuaght in the middle of a war, regardless of age, sex or creed.
Yep agree its a load of crap. Their if anything the secondary victims.Trippy Turtle said:"Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat."

I Think this is a load of crap. I mean sure, it would be bad to lose a family member but it would be a whole lot worse to die in combat. I believe the true "Victims" of war are the civilians that die when they have no part in the war. What are your opinions on this quote?
now I remember why I dislike hillary she says stupid stuff (swear she's an older sarah palin) because like everyone else said everyone is a victimTrippy Turtle said:"Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat."

What the hell? That's stupid to say (the quote I mean). First off it's best to specify which kind of wars we're talking about, if its the current type i.e. fight in a faraway land, then no women are SO not the primary victims, if victims at all. Secondly she's assuming all women had Husbands and if they don't they need husbands, or maybe I'm twisting her words but why are husbands the reason women suffer? Lastly Ok c'mon, in a war the civilians always tend to be the least effected, not nearly as much as the military. I mean look at current wars, we haven't felt any effect of any of the wars the Western world has gone into (i.e. there's no cost or anything reminding you to the state of war, no rations no bombings etc.) you could argue the debt but defensive spending has not brought it to that and other departments are to blame, like healthcare, you could argue economy but again other factors are also to blame i.e. Federal Reserve.Trippy Turtle said:"Women have always been the primary victims of war. How about two wrongs don't make a right? Well said. Arguing over who is suffering *more* is impossible to properly measure. The measure of suffering is going to be tainted by the subjective, never allowing it to be objective.dfphetteplace said:Like said before, I doubt that this isn't being taken out of context. I don't really care for her, but she isn't stupid. Everyone loses in war. It is tragic when any of us loses a loved one, especially to war or other line of duty deaths.
Total war has existed for a long time throughout human history, even if Sherman "started it." Civilians often faced wholesale slaughter in warfare, as far back as ancient times. The Carthenigians didn't get a "pass" from the Romans.Spartan448 said:The end of World War II marked the end of the era where killing civillians was unacceptable.
