I do yet I don't. Does it invoke fear? Yeah. Do I say anything that calls attention to myself? No, not really.

By that, I mean do you think before you post, and wonder if it coud invoke mod attention?

Personally, I do. If I have a very strong view on something, I take a fair amount of time trying to create a post that won't get me in trouble, or I don't post at all. The reason I do this is because I like it here, and don't want to get kicked out.

But how about you? Do you fear the wrath of the mods?
I?m a bit excessive not only do I review my things so that my post isn?t to dickish *I can?t help it I?m a dick* I also spell-check every post I do with Microsoft word so I don?t look like a complete douche I don?t have someone comment on it and I don?t incur mod wrath by having my post non-readable if I can?t spell a word and its fuckd up too bad I think up a synonym? Infact I used Microsoft spell check for this post too?

I am wary of it, but I know that if it ever strikes me, whatever I did to cause it was done authentically.

lol...Hell no I don't. I'm not a regular of these forums yet but on the other forums I've been at...well I was banned from one for a week once for telling an admin to do something explicit to himself, then two weeks the next time for disagreeing with the other people on the forum (damned commies, think like them or they'll outcast you). Another forum, people generally tend to be rude to me and I guess the forum mods see it fit they can insult me but if I fight back I get in trouble. Been banned for different time periods several times there, I'm hot-headed and I won't take anything from people - especially people who insult me and think I'm not going to respond back with the same fervor they insult me or double it. Although I did pretty much do a self-destructive post at one forum that pissed me off to no end and singled out the administrator who started the forums as an idiot (among many far worse things that I did let him know). They deserved it though, they were a bunch of misinformed idiots who hated me for not just agreeing with them (And I thought since the forums were oriented around something we all had in common that wouldn't be a problem...yeah right). Didn't plan on ever going back so I left them a "kind" parting message...I even told the admin to ban me so I didn't accidently go back to their stupid forums either. I dunno if he did or not, the admin there always acted like a know-it-all but he's a genius for spending thousands and thousands of dollars on a car from the 90's no one else wants...hah!

Oh yeah, and there's Gamespot. They hate me, my moderation history is like three pages long there. lol, every time I post a review that Gamespot doesn't like they just say it's inappropriate for whatever reason. Anytime I say the truth about something that everyone else is just beating around the bush they say I'm being a troll...getting to the point = troll in case you didn't know.

My latest forum ban was for turning the flame meter up to ultra high on someone for telling me I don't know how to maintain a computer (After having built most of the computers in my life...). Of course he probably didn't even get a warning or anything, but hey everyone hates me before I even do anything to be hated for so why not. lol, I'm sure someone is reading this right now and formulating in their head "Man, I hate that guy!" - I seem to get that a lot.

So ultimately, no I don't fear being banned. Any forum ignorant enough to ban me doesn't deserve the honor of my presence!*

*Unless I run out of other forums to go to...

I usually don't think about it, nor do I censor myself to avoid it. If i'm unsure whether a post will get me in trouble, I just put a little disclaimer asking a mod to tell me whether i'm ok or not and if not, to let me edit it.

Yes, I fear the banhammer, even more so now that I have a warning. I'm gunning for the Neo badge, so even though I post some questionable remarks every once in a while, I make sure to think before I click.

I think about it, but somehow even in my efforts to avoid mod attention I still get it, often for posts that don't seem like they deserve it at all.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. The mods can be overzealous and will happily abuse their powers. Have you ever looked at ZP threads? The first several posts are always given probation or suspension, regardless of what they are. Things that are not offensive or make no sense to be considered offensive by The Escapist demographic are given mod attention.

This is abuse of power. And you know what? I'm probably going to be suspended or banned for this post, because I stood up and spoke my mind. And that, my friends at The Escapist, is fascist.

Don't fear the ban hammer, the ban hammer is your friend, trust friend ban hammer.
EDIT: the zp posts who post before viewing need something done about them. I might push for a tougher punishment or a time lock to stop early posts if I were a mod.

No, whats the worst that can happen? They ban me, in which case I go make a new accout.

Don't get me wrong, I respect the rules and the 'mods' but i fear no man.

Or woman (just to be fair)
It's called an IP ban, meaning you can never EVER come back. Even if you did make a new account (which is a bannable offense by the way).
Me? Nah I'm a good kid and don't get in trouble mainly because I don't do anything wrong.

Uh, no.
Check the time stamps for when those posts were made and how long the ZP video is. Those guys are just posting so they can be the first to comment, without even watching the video. It's the equivalent of those obnoxious kids on youtube always yelling "FIRST!!!111 lollolol".
It's not an abuse of power, if anything they are lucky to only be suspended/put on probation. It was also a bannable offense back in the day.

The Escapist is not fascist. They ban, suspend, or probation who need to be punished. The reason the first several posts are punished on a ZP thread are because they post before watching the video or while watching the video.

Be Alert, but not Alarmed.

Also I have been a mod before on an un-named site and my fellow mods and I used to get off on banhammering. So now I respect mods and all their powers.

Honestly, I've never really thought about it.
So I guess it would be, no.
Just as long as I don't do anything stupid, I should be fine.
