When I watch my dad play, he NEVER reloads. So when he encountered a enemy group, his bullets ran out and he took 10 shots to the face.

OT:Nope I always reload....... caused me millions several deaths.

I've died so many times in BC2 reflex-reloading an LMG in the middle of a firefight.

They need more games that train us away from this behaviour.

For example - if your bullet count was relative to magazines instead of individual shells - conservative nature would over-ride the OCD of reloading after every 2 shots and it'd make for a more realistic FPS experience.

I reload after every other kill (depending on the weapon) and sometimes when my clip is about to run out (even if I'm fighting someone).

I reload after every kill, yes.
It makes sure you're not unprepared in the next fight... usually...
Unless you're caught whilst reloading, then that's just bad.

As much fun as running out of ammo in the middle of an intense firefight is, I prefer to have bullets to fire. Therefore, I reload at pretty much every opportunity presented to me.

I reload unless there's no real reason to, such as using an LMG that has 200 rounds in a belt and I've only used 50.

Oh yes. If I had a dollar for every time I reloaded my weapon only to have some other twat run around the corner and shoot me in the ass, I'd be playing on a XBOX 360 console made out of 24k gold.

Seriously, I've done math.
Wait, you didn't check to see the coast was clear?

You just.. Reloaded? Right there? RIGHT after the confrontation?

Silly...
:p

I normally duck into a vacant area to do it. Much less likely to catch a 9mm treat to the 10-spot.
Yea its the smart thing to do. Establish Defilade (thats "Cover" in civilian speak) and reload so that way the next time the guy comes around the corner you can blow his face off.

Yep, all the time. You never want to run out of bullets right?
Plus if you burn through your entire clip then you need to cock the gun to put a bullet back in the barrel, which can waste valuable milliseconds in a combat situation.

I love in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 that they "added" a function that lets you cancel your reload by pressing the sprint button. It is very useful if you are caught reloading by an enemy.
