I do the same thing. When I played Halo, I was constantly reloading, sometimes having disasterous effects.
For me, Halo is one of the only games where I'm more likely to empty my clip than reload prematurely.

Then again, you pretty much have to empty your clip in order to kill anyone, so I guess it amounts to the same thing.

Also you can beat people to death with your bare hands, so some of the pressure's off.

Yes, to a fault. I reload after every kill, no matter the threat. It gets me killed an awful lot.

Yes...

Very few games have 'magazine count' ability. By this I mean it keeps track of full and partial magazines over a single lump sum number of bullets you have. In these games I find myself reloading a little less then often, but they are less common then the usual system. Even in those you have more then enough mags that a handful of reloads between lives isn't enough to really make it a problem.

In 'normal' games there is only a minimal amount of problems from reloading your weapon after killing a enemy. Very few cases is there multiple enemies you need to attack, team play isn't as common as it should be, and when there is you know the one or two additional baddies are there and only RL after all of them are dead.

A little foresight and rational thought and you rarely get jumped reloading.

OCD!!! And yes, I do. You'd hate to be in a heated gunfight when your gun goes *click*.

Yes with basically every FPS I play, I prefer to have a full clip/magazine rather than one that is only 3/4 full. Unless it is one of those guns that take roughly a year to reload, then I'll just empty it. This is especially true with my sniper class in MW2, I reload after every 3 shots maximum, then if I run out of ammo I charge the enemy with my silenced M9 pistol.

Yeah I tend to reload after every kill, unless I see my next kill before I kill the first guy. But yea, it gets annoying in MW2 when they go into last stand and you reload, but nothing a quick stun grenade can't fix.

Heck yes I do, I sometimes press the reload when the guns at full ammo and not a bullet gone from the clip. It's a bad/good habit. Good because I'll always be ready, bad because I can't stop pressing the Halo 3 reload when playing CoD, not fun.

I auto-reload, you never know what you might run into, it might your whole mag to put it down.

I reload after every kill, even with machine guns. I usually get killed because of that.

either after every kill, or some time after a kill, the exact moment before an enemy walks round the corner.. which is bloody annoying.

Yeah, I reload after just about every kill, I have had to start checking myself in some games because sometimes the guy has last stand or his buddy is behind the corner.

Yes. I reload after every single kill, even with a machine gun, unless there are any others who are shooting at me and I can't immediately find cover. I'd rather keep a full clip ready for the next firefight rather than risk running out of ammo mid-battle.

In online MP, this gets me killed a fair bit.

Yes. Yes I do. I reload ALL the time. Even in games where there is no such function. I used to press reload in Mass Effect 1 after playing ME2. Too bad the reload button in 1 throws grenades...
