Yeah, it was something my dad taught me when the two of us would sit down and play Co-Op.

Since then it's become a habit, except in games like TF2, oddly enough.

I didn't do this at all, up until I played Resident Evil 4. Then, my husband would be sitting beside me, and after every kill (if I wasn't in immediate danger) he would say "reload reload reload" until I did. I've since developed the habit of reloading after every kill.

Heh, I apparently do. Even when still engaged in a gunfight.
But I have an annoying amount of luck with it, and just keep dodging bullets while doing so.

I was thinking that, ah well, gotta respect those ninjas. On dead space I sometimes reload after I shoot a necro's legs off! This is why I hate it when a game has a long reload time for a weapon because I will spend the entire non-combat portion of the game reloading.

Some games waste what's left of the clip if you reload when it is not empty, so I never reload unless the gun is clicking.

Depends on the gun, If it takes 2 seconds to reload, I'm reloading, if it takes ten seconds, I'm emptying the clip and picking up a new gun.

As each enemy falls, so does the clip, only to be replaced by a new foe... and a new clip.

God yes, in almost any FPS I always run with the shotgun which requires frequent reloading, thus I am forever reloading even when not using that gun.

Sure, there's no reason to not have a full magazine at the start of each fight.

Or in the case of me, gets me killed, because I almost always reload before it's safe, even if I have used one bullet in my gun I reload. I just have obsessive compulsive tendencies in all my games, like making my buildings symmetrical in rts' and tower defence games.

Hey, I've been playing shooters for about ten years now, and I noticed I reload after almost every kill, which is a problem sometimes. So I was wondering, does anyone else do this?
If not, what habit do you have when gaming? From clicking the analog stick, to gunning the engine in racers.
I think this thread would benefit greatly from a poll. Can you add one now that you've made it?

Yeah.. I usually pop the guy in front of me off, look round, deem the area to be clear, start to reload ans some guy will pop out of nowhere leaving me with my pants down..

Oh god yes. I have this habit to hit the Reload-button whenever it's least convenient...

Yep I do this all the time, even if I only fired one shot.
Another weird thing I do is keeping both numbers (shots in clip and in reserve, assuming they're both there) even instead of odd... 231 shots in reserve?! MADNESS!

Seriously, I'll actually fire that 1 one shot off and reload.

After killing someone i get spasms of pleasure, causing presses of buttons. Like Crouching or Reloading.

I can't tell if you're joking or not, but somehow that's the funniest post I've seen all day.
