Oh yes. If I had a dollar for every time I reloaded my weapon only to have some other twat run around the corner and shoot me in the ass, I'd be playing on a XBOX 360 console made out of 24k gold.

Seriously, I've done math.
Wait, you didn't check to see the coast was clear?

You just.. Reloaded? Right there? RIGHT after the confrontation?

Silly...
:p

I normally duck into a vacant area to do it. Much less likely to catch a 9mm treat to the 10-spot.
No, I check around most of the time but since not very people work together as a team in this game it's usually one or two moving around the map in one location. Besides, for me it's more along the lines of bad luck for me, I always seem to relaod at the wrong time.

I do, mainly do to the fact that I would always be one bullet short of the kill shot so by reloading a lot I minimized the chance of that happening anymore.

Oh yeah, Goldeneye, Killer7, Left4Dead, and Bioshock, I'm ALWAYS reloading. If I were playing a game where the rest of the magazine would be lost when reloading, I'd definitely have to develop new habits.

Not after every kill, no. But after every encounter, yes.

In fact, it's getting to the point where I'm reloading after every 5 shots in Splinter Cell. When I'm only using the SC-20K on a single shot setting.

At first I thought this thread would be about reloading as in to re-load a file to do something better (eg getting Silent Assassin in Hitman games). How wrong I was!

Anyway, OT, yep. I really shouldn't in MP, it gets me killed fairly often. It's an impossible habit to break though, it's engrained into my subconscious or my thumb, I can't work out which.

Yeah, I've been down that road, sadly.

Always sucks when you watch him walk away, un-pelted with lead.
And, of course, teammates are usually there just to get a piece of the action, they could care less if you actually need them for something... They all jus- I HATE THEM ALL!

*Ehem*

Anyway, yeah, it sucks when that happens. :D

I reload constantly, even reflexively. Usually I can space the time out so I survive the experience. With the squad support weapons in Far Cry 2? Not so much.

I reload every time after I shoot.
It's a real ***** in BC2 because I'm a medic and carry machineguns with 100+ ammo clip capacity.

Holyshityes. I didn't know there were support groups for it. When I'm not in cover, I try to limit it to every 2-3 kills depending on the size of the magazine. This habit kills me when using LMGs, which is a shame. Whenever I play MW2, I don't even bother reloading the SAW, since the magazine usually lasts longer than I do. That's my balls to the wall, IR Frustrated class.

after every kill, its the worst in bad comapny 2 since your gun only seems to have enough bullets for 1 kill per clip, love my pistol in that game.

Pretty much, yes. I usually use a stealthy approach anyway, so it's always a necessity to reload after every sniper shot to avoid being caught short when you end up in a tense firefight somewhere. But even when using other weapons I'll constantly reload just to make sure that I don't run out of ammo. I don't want some Locust guy or a Jiralhanae or Lekgolo blowing my head off because I ran out of ammo in one clip when blowing them to bits. Reloading constantly is your friend, there :D.

IF i'm in a fire fight, and say i had to reload and commence the fight. Even if my first bullet kills i slap the reload button.

This gets me in trouble if i am jumping between games when the button lay out switches and i tap reload only to throw a grenade at the wall i am using as cover.

Death ensues.

If you want to get over constant reload syndrome pick an LMG as a gun. They take half an hour to reload so you'll get over it pretty quick.

Yes. It's a tactical must.

... Unless you're playing Battlefield 2. Reloaded magazines aren't "swapped", they're actually lost.
I usually always reload after a kill unless of course it is like battlefield 2, then I got to slap myslef to prevent the urge of doing so. Also when I play sandbox games like GTA4 I usually follow the traffic laws the first time playing. I have no idea why.
