Ah, totally. To the point that it felt wierd not needing to compulsively press R in Portal for a little bit.

yep
I never check for cheats when I get a game, and I always think that there will be some reward if you beat the game without dieing
Edit: or in a game where the moral choice is vague and when I pick something I would like to retract it
Example: in Web of shados I just couldnt bring myself to kill wolverine.
could.
not.
do it.

Yes, yes. I do. I reload whenever I kill someone. Sometimes every time I duck behind cover. And it's all thanks to games like Mass Effect 2 and GTA IV in which reloading takes half a second that in Bad Company 2 I try to reload a damned M60 mid-firefight.

Yes yes I do, the problem is that I'd discovered while playing stealth games specifically an enemy usually comes around a corner to investigate a body as I'm reloading from the fresh kill. So many times that has earned me a bullet to the brain.

I rarely play floating-gun games, but I always reload after a kill. It's a habit I got into when I started hunting.

I wish I didnt, but there is basically no negative of doing it. I wait for a new game to quit being so user friendly and make it how many mags you have, instead of how many bullets.

Only when I'm using shotguns. Pump-actions and semi-autos have a long total reload time so I top them up after I've fired off a few shots, and break-actions only have two shots total, so I always reload after firing, even if I've only fired one shot.

If I'm using an assault rifle with a 30 round mag, for instance, I usually wait until I'm down to a few rounds before I reload.

I never reload while running around out in the open, if I can help it.

Some games already do that. This is examined in great detail [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OneBulletClips] on TVTropes.

I used to always reload constantly but I'm breaknig the habit. Using the P90 in MW2 I can generally kill four guys before needing to reload, so it's been good training. I reload when it's safe but not reflexively as soon as my enemy goes down.

yes i am constantly reloading...one habit i noticed my sister doing is that she is constantly looking at the ground when she walks in game...rather than paying attention to what is going on...

I reload after every big fight.
Running around with a half-filled gun bothers me greatly.
My syndrome even extends to other people, and I will always remind people who are playing around me to RELOAD, DAMMIT!
I'd imagine that is annoying, but I just can't freaking help it.

I used to to do it for every FPS I played until I played Firearms for a HL1 where I realised in the middle of game play my magazines were half empty. Having to merge magazines, realism ftw.

it's actually a good thing and encouraged (Demanded at gunpoint) By the actual military.

yup, all the time, but hardly ever get killed in MW2 due to the wonderful break reload technique, saved my butt many times
...And how do you do that?
Start the reload, then immediately sprint. If you did it right, you now have a full clip with almost no reload time.

Yes. It's a tactical must.

... Unless you're playing Battlefield 2. Reloaded magazines aren't "swapped", they're actually lost.
That also happens in Urban Terror, I went back to playing that after playing some other shooters, after like 3 kills I was out of ammo and left dumbfounded, then I remembered the ammo system and was like SHIT!

I reload after every shot, every time. Nothing like having a kill right in front of you only to find out your clip is empty after a single shot.

I used to have this urge, but now it's under control. I always reload when i'm in cover and it's clear around me. Also i reload only when the magazine is half empty or below. Else i switch to the secondary weapon until i reach a safe place to reload.
BTW, i noticed people really underuse their secondary weapon.

Keeping your cool and NOT reloading is part of skill in FPS.

People who break under the stress reload too much and die. You need to be confident enough in your abilities (and actually HAVE the ability) to kill the next enemy with whatever bullets you have left.

I've killed 5 players in a single 7-bullet desert eagle clip. It's one thing to be able to kill a player, the next level is being confident enough in your last bullets to be able to kill the next player who might have interrupted your reload.

The connected skill is not shooting unless you're hitting. Don't waste shots or you'll be reloading more and thus, dying more. Only shoot with purpose.
