Do you like Naruto (anime)? Why?

Naruto has always been kinda liekable. Like bleach it has a wide variety of interesting characters. However, teh sub plots and teh shameless dragging out of the cool bits make it had to watch sometimes...
And then,
Naruto Shippuden, the lastest few months of it, have turned the series completely around. They have started doing really cool stuff, that in teh earlier seasons would have taken dozens of episodes, and doing it in 3 or 4 episodes. Personally, i think that the creatiors have fianlly begun listening to the fans, not teh rabis ones who will love it whatever it flaws; You know, the kind of people that liked "curry of life", but the ones who had genuinly good ideas, like better pacing, better music, and better action.
So yeah, Naruto is okay, Shippuden is good and teh last few months have been great.

But only after his hollow takes over.
Enemy uses shikai; he goes bankai.
Enemy goes bankai; he puts on his mask.
Frankly, if you take away his hollow, Ichigo'll be a piece of worthless crap.
He didn't even know how to use the black getsuga until his hollow showed him -.-
At least Naruto has his sage mode.

naruto's universe can be impossibly compared to that of bleach.
i could now bring on the argument that naruto has the worlds most badass demon inside him and breaks out whenever he's pissed.

also naruto always comes in a team of 3 or more. naruto has had his sage mode for about 5 episodes now so it hardly counts.

And I could bring in the arguement that Ichigo has the world's most badass hollow, so it puts them on the same level.
And Ichigo knows ONE move. Getsuga Tenshou.
Naruto knows one move too, Rasengan, but at least he has variations of that. Double rasengan; odama rasengan; futon rasenshuriken, etc.
Ichigo just knows that one move and uses it that one way. And if his hollow never showed him that, he would have never known how to use it.

The anime, no. The Manga yes. Although my opinion of it has gone down A LOT since the ending to a certain fairly recent arc. If you've read the manga you'll know which one I'm on about.

Aw c'mon. This new arc might be good.

Naruto didn't acquire sage mode because he had a fox inside him.
Naruto didn't learn Rasengan because he had a fox inside him.
Ichigo has his Getsuga Tenshou because the hollow showed it to him.
Ichigo has his mask because he has a hollow inside him.

Same thing? I think not.
No knowledge fail.

I saw an episode once.

It was like watching a cartoon version of Power Rangers with terrible voiceovers. It was the sort of thing I might have liked when I was eight years old.

I do not understand why an adult, or even a teenager, would want to watch it.

I read the Manga and watched the first 220 episodes of Naruto (everything before shippuuden) but the Manga is way better, with no fillers whatsoever

I watched the 220 episodes and I like the filler, some of the stupid shit he does, like the ramen cooking school etc was rather funny. could never get into bleach, i loved Death Note up until they killed off L

Oh to people talking about crappy voice overs and that it's to "childish" watch the japanese version with subtitles. it's SOOO much better, americanized versions of japanese anime are complete shit.

I liked the original Naruto, the fact that they were kids made their motives make sense somehow. But I just can't force myself to watch Shippuuden, hate it.

silence you, you have slandered it enough with your slanderous slander.

ichigo has getsuga tenshou because zangetsu told him it's name, which when used makes it 1000 times more powerful.
the black getsuga tenshou is perhaps somehow aided because of the hollow inside of him, but lets not forget that ichigo friggin earnt that by showing his hollow side who da man is, whereas the ninetale fox is stuck behind a friggin gate. How does that pose a threat?
and ichigo is at least quiet when he needs to be.
and of course he has a mask because of his hollow side, ITS A HOLLOW MASK.
ichigo had to struggle to get the ability to use that mask, just like other visards.
Naruto just strolls down there and says "gimme some chakra".

PS. i do like naruto, not shippuden, but naruto. I just don't like him defaming the awsome Bleach.

I used to really like it, but the new episodes suck so much, I just completely lost interest. Here's why

the big fight between Itachi and Sasuke which was being hyped up for the entire fucking series lasted about 4 episodes. And more than half of the fight was genjutsu and had absolutely no consequence whatsoever. And then everytime the fight should have ended a big ol' deus ex machina would rear its ugly head. This is not unusual in anime but when deus ex machina is used to counter a deus ex machina but is countered by another deus ex machina, things have gotten ridiculous. And then Itachi dies. not because sasuke killed him but from some random disease.

not just that, but the one thing that annoyed me most of all was that everyone depended on Naruto to do everything for them. An entire city which has an army of ninjas at its disposal is doing nothing until a fifteen year old kid can come to save the day. Stupid show gets to FUCK OFF!
