for example i quite liked Wet and Darkest of days
but in his reveiws yahtzee said he dosant
and while he does make some true points about them that pissed me off during gameplay
(like only being able to use one gun unless your in midair)
i think that you need to keep your own oppinion, dont be afraid to try new games and dont let your oppinion be changed by somone else
although yahtzee is the bomb
Yahtzee doesnt require squirrels! he wishes that we sacrifice the none belivers lolGuido656 said:No, I take them as the absolute truth. Infact, I have written down his gaming words of wisdom into a bible form, which I keep next to my photo of him, in the woods, under my shrine to Yahtzee - surrounded by the limp, rotting bodies of the squirrels I sacrificed last wednesday in a bid to please the almighty review God.
Exactly, extra punctuation is where Yahtzees drips of wisdom are to be had.Void(null) said:Extra Punctuation seems to be where he is attempting to break out of the angry comic role and into actual game journalism. I rather enjoy the Extra Punctuation segments, as Ben has some really great observations about the industry and he doesn't easily buy into the hype and bullshit that many other reviews seem to do.GiantRedButton said:I dont even see him as a reviewer.
I donzt think he does either
Yes, Zero Punctuation should be taken with a pinch of salt, its formula and bile and often times funny. That doesnt invalidate the truth of the argument but a good 75% of ZP is Hyperbole for the sake of humor.
actually the daily show is fairly accurate, but it is heavily sarcastic, whereas yahtzee takes the little problems in a game and exaggerates them... i usually agree with his complaints but i think he judges some games too harshly... he also expects too much out of some games bayonetta is clearly designed purely to have the player beat the crap out of bags filled with red jello by a scantily clad woman,, those aren't good games, they're just entertaining games... i actually usually agree with him on his judgements on how good a game is, but i usually disagree in terms of how entertaining it isDrunkWithPower said:Sometimes he makes a valid point, not to say that the majority of the time that same point is exaggerated for the sake of comedy. It's almost like the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, there's truth in it but stand back because it's supposed to be funny.
