I was under the impression that makeup was for girls and movie stars. So no, I refuse to ever give in to the trends that make me feel rediculous.

I used to, stopped because it didn't really look good on me, and it was a hassle.
The only annoying reaction I got was people assuming I was a scene kid.

I once wore eyeshade for a Leon Kennedy cosplay. If you look closely, both him and Ashley have somewhat darkened eye lids, like they're sleep-deprived. The amount I used was subtle.

Of course not cause im a macho man that suffers from small man syndrome. If i met a guy that wore make up and he wasnt horribly disfigured or hiding facial gang tattoos, I'd presume he was gay at first glance. But eyeliner isnt really anything new and not that extreme. so If a friend of mine started wearing it i wouldn't care.

i'm to embarassed to ask anyone else
If you're embarassed about it yourself, then you should be able to understand why others think it's odd.
In the first paragraph you seem like you're confident about it, with your remarks about people's common sense, but then you admit to be embarassed yourself? Something's wrong there.

In that light, making a thread about it seems to me like you want people to reassure you it's perfectly fine for a boy to wear make up and the ones who make any snarky comments about it are ignorant a**holes.

I can only say that: Yes, you're allowed to wear makeup as a boy. No one comes to harm because of it, no one should be offended, so there's nothing that can be said against wearing some makeup. However others are entitled of their opinions as well, and if they don't like it, you'll have to accept that, too. If you keep thinking "They're so ignorant because they don't like my makeup" then you're just as ignorant as them.

Also, maybe it just wasn't a very well done make up..?

I only wear make-up on stage. And I would highly recommend that you either stop wearing 'guyliner' or get really smart, really fast. You'd better establish yourself as a down-to-earth, intelligent individual now, because a lot people have a reeeaaally hard time taking guys who wear eyeliner seriously.

As a non-goth, or something similar, guy I do not ware make-up. However, I do often put some lotion on my face to make it look, and more importantly feel, less dry. Male make-up is apparently on the rise, but it's not a trend I feel like joining, but I don't see it as gay either. Nothing gay about caring about your looks.

As for girls wearing make-up, I have nothing against some of it and it can improve a girl's looks. But I'm also perfectly fine if a girl doesn't want to wear it. As long as it isn't smeared all over, I prefer the natural look.

Easy enough to answer, Actual. The swastika was originally designed as a symbol of anarchy through the Black Ram Group which surfaced in 1982. Ta-da!
Actually no, the swastika is way older than that, going back to the Neolithic. It's found all over the world, a sacred symbol in various religions in all kinds of time-frames. The Nazi's just made it famous.

I don't because I'm a guy, and guys don't need to to look good, unless it's Halloween or something.

HAH!! ahahahahahaaa. This made my day, so QFT.
Like you said though, stopping at step 2 is the socially acceptable way to go.

I don't wear make-up because I don't care about my appearance enough. And I'm fairly attractive anyway, I don't think I need it.

To the guys to want to wear make-up, or the girls that don't, go ahead. Do what makes you happy.

I'm female and I do, but I enjoy makeup. There are a lot of possibilities, and it's fun. That said, if you want eyeliner to last longer, you can try using a primer underneath. There are a few cheaper brands in the drugstore you can use. Another option is to get a cheap brush (there's a company called ELF that sells makeup brushes for $1; I own a few of these and they're good) and take a matte black eyeshadow and trace over your eyeliner with the brush, smudging it a bit if you like. It will help things to last longer.
I agree with putting a little eyeshadow on over eyeliner. I do that all the time, and it works pretty well.

I'm a girl, and I love make-up. As far as men wearing make-up, it looks awesome on some guys and not good at all on others. It just depends on their face and their style. Some guys look kind of hot with eyeliner on.

I actually think it looks pretty cool when some of my male friends put on eyeliner so I see no problem there.

That being said, if you're wearing it I think you should be wearing it because you like how it makes you look, not to rile up idiots' backs.

No, because as someone already said, I love the way I look. Only problem is a few pimples, but not massive ones. Just little pink bumps on my face. I have a lean face, which makes my cheekbones look pimpin', and I have dimples when I smile. I also have a hair style that I like, and is very easy, as well as nice blue eyes. Eyeliner would probably accentuate my eyes, but I have a clean cut image, so I think that would ruin it. It may sound like I'm saying I'm super-attractive (I like to think so), but I'm not, this is just a biased description.

Also I think it looks lame on guys. You need to be a rockstar or a famous scene/goth/emo style person to pull it off, and if you're none of those, you look like a tool. In my opinion. On girls, it sounds bad for me to say this, but I think make-up (unless it's like clayface or something) look hawt.

Ah scene kids...Be alternative by not doing what everyone else is doing -.-

I can remember once I was at a gig and two girls had the same top on with the quote - "You hate me because I am different, I hate you because your all the same."

Oh how I laughed.

I'm not that kind of showy guy. Personally I have never been too affected by things like this and don't intend to ever be. But that's just my view.
