I've been blessed with a perfect complexion from birth, though sometimes it is more of a curse than a blessing... Okay, that's a lie.

I have nothing against make-up on girls, so long as they aren't too young (Those beauty pageants for toddlers make me want to hurl).Though I think make-up on dudes is kinda weird, but isn't that what they are going for? It's my understanding that men don't wear make-up with the intention of looking pretty (with the exception of transvestites, male models, and people in show-business), they wear it to look cool/strange. They're still seeking attention, just a different kind of attention than what girls go for.

Personally, I couldn't care less whether somebody, male or female, chooses to wear makeup, so long as they are not too young. I usually find it looks unnecessary or unflattering, but when applied correctly it can look really cool/pretty.

Also, it's not like body modifications which effect you for the rest of your life, it's just goop that washes off. No reason to get bent out of shape over it.

No. I am a man.

To be honest, I prefer it when girls don't wear makeup, they look better without it.

If you're over 30 and a bit insecure, I understand but you don't really need it till you're older.

Lol.

Nah, I don't wear makeup. Don't need it.

When I know a girl for a while and then after some time I see her without makeup, she looks (no offence to anyone) somewhat shocking...and not usually in a good way.

Yeah I wear make up but I'm a girl so I guess it's not really a shocker. I do go out without make up a lot though too. I'm not crazy haha

I don't mind boys wearing make up at all. If it makes them look hotter then fair enough!

being of the female persuasion it's no shock that i wear makeup (only heavy eyeliner and eyeshadow though) and to answer your question i have found the only way to keep your eyeliner looking perfect is to do a re-touch once in a while throughout the day/evening.. that being said i have also found through trial and error that the cheaper the eyeliner the longer is lasts.. not sure why.. but the more expensive ones with a very soft liner usually smudge really badly and wear away too fast.. whereas the cheaper ones with a hard liner usually hold up much better (my personal favourite is N.Y.C brand.. cheap and lasts longer than most pricey brands)
also just thought i'd mention that i think guys in eyeliner is a spectacular look and not enough of them wear it

Amusingly when i was in lower school (ie had a uniform) girls would be told off for wearing eye shadow however one boy for a bet wore it ( like bright blue eye shadow) and none of the teachers said a word we assume because they all thought he was gay and didnt want to cause a fight over discrimination.

Also i do not wear make-up, in my mind self appearance is so other people will think better of you and therefore i follow the social norm on the subject.

I mean its your choice if you do and i wont criticise but you cannot see your own outward appearance (except in a mirror) and therefore you look like you do not for your self but for other people obviously people who are goths ect arnt following social norm but are still styling themselves to visually appeal to other goths ect.

However im not expert on make-up so i have no idea what kind of make-up you say your wearing (prehaps example pics?)

I do not include "metrosexuals" into my definition of "man" so I will not include homosexuals either.

I have nothing against any sexual preference in specific, like I don't have anything against emo or scene kids...

I already agreed that there is are anatomical similarities, obviously... Har har. But beyond that, the mentality of a gay man is extremely far from what I think is a "man".
Please tell me you're not being serious

I do not use makeup though people ask if I use mascara becuase my eyelashes are naturally very thick. Furthermore I doo not think it makes anyone (boy/girl) "prettyer" than they are, personality is the key for me, however I see the a point with makeup.

Like warpaint it is a tool for changing your apperance and can make you look intimidating or mysterical, and sometimes that canbe handy. Summa summarium I see no reason why guys cant wear makeup also, other than old gender-ideals, and I dont think girls should be required to.

It is all about subjective esthetics in my opinion. There is no "pretty" apperance for it is only an illusion that you base upon what others tell you are "pretty" XD (take the red pill)

I like black lipstick/nail polish.
It makes me look scar(y/ier).
I know that it's cliche.
No, I don't want to whip out HTML character codes to spell "cliche" right.

Nah, I don't like make-up, be it on boys or even girls... and surely not on myself. Especially since I am too lazy to actually put it on. That's one reason I don't style my hair, I prefer to sleep during the time it'd take me to style up.

No, because I don't think it looks good. I wouldn't even if I did, I'm pretty lazy.
You do and do, and aren't as lazy as I.

Nope, never have. I was never any good at colouring inside the lines on my best days, no way would I put pencils or bristly things near my eyes.

He probably is, but I think he means "macho" when he says "man". That's what I read into it anyway. I would like to hear the definition of "man" versus "woman" from him. :)

Maybe more people should realize that your gender shouldn't limit you to a certain behaviour, but that we are individuals with differences.

I don't because I'm a guy. If you'll forgive me for thinking so (Which you better, else you're being a dick), I find makeup on guys... well, it doesn't exactly scream heterosexual. Not saying you're gay if you wear makeup (or that that's a bad thing) but it's hardly 'manly'.

On women I don't mind, so long as it's not too much. I appreciate that a lot of women tend to feel better about themselves wearing makeup and it looks better, simple as that.

Yep, I do.

Foundation around my eyes (to hide the fact that I get too little sleep thanks to xbox), mascara and eyeliner.

Rarely anything more elaborate than that.

I started wearing make up when I was about fifteen, and the teachers congratulated me on using the right foundation for my skin tone. Mine was a school of orange faces, so I stuck out.

Whether or not I wear it now depends on what I'm doing. I know people who won't leave the house without makeup, even if it's just to walk the dog. That's just overkill.

Personally I find make-up somewhat that of a turnoff, especially that foundation or whatever the hell you call it which is basically dust that sticks to your face to make you look like someone attacked you with cinnamon.
