I didn't really like it. Well When shitty CGI effects and the Master flying with his lighting shit and jumping around like a fool were not cloulding the screen, or terriable acting and camera work and script in places, It was pretty good.

Secret book of Saxon? Potions for life and death? Wtf?

I bet Bernard is discussed as Human using a Chameleon Arch like in "Human Nature"
My thoughts exactly :p
Are you a Time Lord? I think we are psychically linked! :p
Haha, perhaps.... :D
Anyhoo, what is your opinion on the several billion Masters?

Personally I think it was a bit of an overkill seeing as you know they are going to be defeated in the end by either the Doctor or the Time Lords.

Still several billion John Simms aren't a bad thing! haha

If you had watched the original Doctor Who episodes then you know that things were just as corny and ridiculous back then but everyone who has been drawn in by the new series' don't expect it and thus don't like it.

HOWEVER, the Master flying with electricity reminded me of the main guy from InFamous haha

Its only been an hour and I'd already wiped thoughts of those parts from my mind. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME REMEMBER?!?!? *cries in a corner*

John Simm was the best actor on screen, mainly because they gave him such crazy (which he does well) scenes to play with. Bernard Cribbins was also, as expected, legendary.

I'm interested to see where they take this, but hopefully RTD hasn't written himself into a huge whole; as he sometimes does at the end of a series :p

It is an interesting twist.
But instead of bringing back the
Timelords
they should have had it as Imperials...
dammit, I saw the red and gold, I thought it was custodians ><
Ahem, anyway, it was good, looking forward to part two.
I thought it was them when I first saw them.

Also, Shimmer!

It's just not going to be the same without David Tennant.

...Although, I guess everyone would say that about the doctor of their generation.

For some reason, it reminded me of DC's Static.

Corny and ridiculous maybe, but I don't remember it ever taking a nose dive quite like that off of Moh's Scale of Science Fiction Hardness. Seriously, a freaking potion? Psuedo-science I can live with, but the beginning was just magic.

That said, I enjoyed most of the episode and am kicking myself for not knowing it was a two-parter.

Watching it now, really am not looking forward to the new doctor
Why not? I love David Tennant, he's someone I'd turn gay for (along with John Barrowman, and I'm straight, but that's beside the point) and Tennant is a great actor. I was extremely sad (until I read the Radio Times) that I missed him in Hamlet at the RSC in Stratford, and I loved seeing his roles in Harry Potter and the new St. Trinians movie. He is definitely one of my favourite actors right now, and the Doctor is one of my favourite characters that he's played. But despiteall that, Matt Smith has apparently shown himself in other roles as being a great actor, and since he was picked by a team including Davies and Moffat, he obviously has something about him that will work greatly as the Doctor. Remember, a lot of people were skeptical of Freema Agyeman when she starting playing Martha Jones, but she soon managed to prove herself as good a companion as Rose. And then Catherine Tate repeated that as Donna. I'm personally really looking forward to seeing Matt Smith playing the Doctor, though I do admit I'll miss David Tennant greatly...

You are forgetting one very important fact, my good sir. And that is Arthur Clarke's third law: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic".

...of course, that probably means diddly-squat.

Glad to see i'm not the only one thinking that Cribbins will be the a Time Lord.

Also, the Master essentially for all intents and purposes DID become the guy from inFamous. I mean come on, he had the hoody and used the lightning to fly and everything!
Another point; the Master being every human reminded me so much of the ending to the Matrix Revolutions.

Even so, Timothy Dalton woooooooooooooooooo!

They're DEAD.

They cannot be there, they are DEAD.

Hell, they had better have a damned good excuse as to why they are suddenly alive...
Maybe..*spoilering to not spoil it*

Maybe, the timelords are actually infact the humans that were altered the The Master, and somehow changed, and went back in time to the beigning of time to change things so the end of time would happen in such a way that they would be created?

I've just watched The End Of Time, thought it was interesting? Anyone else watch it?
*sigh*

I feel a rant coming on so I won't say more than "Doctor Who shouldn't be just 'interesting'"

/Root_out
I said interesting, as I'm not quite sure how I should react to the episode. I don't usually watch Doctor Who, but I don't think that played a part in how absurd I found everything. The Master, (John Simms) isn't he dead? I did watch that one.

Neither am I, David Tennant has such charm and flair, that I don't think the new Doctor will ever live up to. Still, I'll give him a chance.
Yeah I suppose, but have you seen the new Doctor? Plus the shoes he's going to have to fill. Call me pessimistic but I don't think he's going to be nearly as good as David. Ah well, we'll have to see

Here's hoping *fingers crossed*
I have seen the new Doctor, and yes, I also have my fingers crossed. But I think that Doctor Who will die with Tennant, the role is so large, and I have doubts that this new Doctor will even impress me, never mind equal Tennant.

Oh, he's been finding ways to cheat death since forever! I think he once survived being executed by the daleks by, and I quote, "taking on the form of a small, snake-like entity".
