*sigh*

I feel a rant coming on so I won't say more than "Doctor Who shouldn't be just 'interesting'"

/Root_out
Oh please, please rant. Your rants on how Doctor Who is amazing and how RTD needs to GTFO always amuse me.

Hell, they had better have a damned good excuse as to why they are suddenly alive...

On the subject of Matt Smith, I have seen him in a few other shows and he is pretty damn good. When I first saw Eccleston regenerate into Tennant I thought: "Oh god! This new guy looks terrible, there is no way he's ever gonna live up to Eccleston!"

And here we are :D

I'm prepared to give the guy a chance. The episode? I loved it! Enough to ignore the complete rubbish that was and always has been RTD's writing. However, Timothy Dalton stole the show in my opinion. I would be hard pressed to select somebody who would make a more awesome narrator...except maybe Liam Neeson. He has a nice voice :)
I would vote fo Liam Neeson as Doctor 12, let alone narrator!

Im sorry your claiming that a Sci-fi show with time travel cannot bring people back from the dead.
Yes. As it has been proven in the previous episode, trying to prevent something fixed in time like that ends up backfiring, and the event proceeds with a few changes.

However, it depends on if the death of the Time Lords was a fixed point in time.

Not a bad episode considering it was all the build up for Tennants' final appearance...god I'm going to miss him, Matt Smith just looks like someone who should be kept away from playgrounds....(Ok, possibly a little harsh, I just really rate Tennant).

Oh and the ending itself, didn't see that coming!

it was HILARIOUS! It was so utterly absurd. It was silly and RTD should have left long ago. Ending was kinda cool though. I like Timothy Dalton.

Clearly you didn't watch Casanova beforehand.

WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?!

That was my reaction to the end

I mean WTF?
I know, it was a little sudden at the end. but that's how clever the team that made Doctor Who are. It was so unexpected, that I think most people are going to watch the next one simply to understand what the hell happened. I sure am.
I suppose,i just hope there's a good reason for their return not just a "oh we were having breakfast"

Shame that it's Tennant's last episode,i have a feeling the new guy will be pish
You know Doctor Who, common sense and reasoning is completely out of the question. It's a world where even death can't stop you from making a cameo.

The Master, (John Simms) isn't he dead? I did watch that one.
Oh, he's been finding ways to cheat death since forever! I think he once survived being executed by the daleks by, and I quote, "taking on the form of a small, snake-like entity".
If you are indeed quoting correctly, oh my god! I can't even think of things to describe how I feel about that, it is so absurd! I don't watch Doctor Who regularly, so I haven't seen that one, but I don't think that's why I feel confused.
It's not a recent one, it was a 1996 television film. Made as an attempt to restart the series after it was cancelled. However, I'm a little unsure as to if it's considered canon or not...
Let's hope not. The world of Doctor Who is confusing enough as it is!

That's a fair point

Though when you think about it it seems pretty obvious they survived,I mean, quite a few Daleks survived

Sorry, don't watch the series regularly. Daleks are those things with plungers on their faces, right?

Maybe..*spoilering to not spoil it*

Maybe, the timelords are actually infact the humans that were altered the The Master, and somehow changed, and went back in time to the beigning of time to change things so the end of time would happen in such a way that they would be created?
I doubt it since all the timelords looked different to him so unless he changes colour and facial features on the way to the past it would be strange

It doesnt, their end was part of the timewar which was timelocked so no-one could get in or out. Yes dalek Caan got lucky and managed to take the Supreme Dalek out but if they use that excuse again it will be retarded because then there wouldn't be any-one left in the time war.

I'm so annoyed I'll have to watch it online due to being in Canada for christmas. I love Doctor Who as well! I can't even read any of the posts in this thread for fear of having it spoiled for me.
