Thats why I thought the Doctor would be in it already. All we ever do is see the Doctor arrive, kick someones arse in a fairly humiliating way and leave, but we never see the results of it. The closest we ever got to seeing the impact he has is in Love and Monsters, Donna's 1st episode after the wedding and Amys reaction to his appearence and dis-appearence when she was young. In all three of these we are shown people who's lives would have been better if the doctor never existed. I really hope they have the balls next season to do an episode from a 3rd person perspective where the doctor is shown as the villan.
Now that would be good. The closest we ever got to this subject was 10 seeing how the companions feel they must put their lives on the line for him and how Davros accused him of manipulating humans to do his dirty work. IO would love to see the Doctor watch like all of his "aftershock"s.
Triple plot thread for the next episode. Rory breaking the Doctor out, Amy figuring out who she really is (remember, the Doctor said her life didn't make sense) and the Doctor being shown his actions from the other point of view.

I can dream!

Don't know if its been said already but......
1) The voice in the tardis sounded like Davros to me.

2)River is shown dieing-ish she says she hasn't yet told the doctor about the pandorica opening, saying her normal spoilers, so if shes dead she cant tell him?!?

Just my thoughts after watching.
and yes it was made of 100% win.

Part of me hopes so because I always got the feeling he'd be a good character if you could get him away from RTD. Part of me hopes not because I like Rory too much and for him too come and save the day would be uber!

I'm mixed about this, if Jack turned up to help save the day, that would be very similar to Season 4's finale.. Also, seeming The Doctor is a new person, under the control of a new scriptwriter, theyve shown several times that they are trying to start a new chapter in the Doctor Who universe. Most of the creatures are new creatures, and the ones that aren't (the daleks) are redesigned. Even River is new in the sense that shes different to what she was like before. If they brought back Jack that would be a new direction to the one they have been taking so far.

May i point out she didn't explode the Tardis she was in it while it exploded the big scary voice more likely was the cause of the explosion.

Ya sure that's what the doctor tried to tell the Alliance at the end because they misunderstood that only the Doctor could pilot the TARDIS (which is a good thing for them to believe ;)
"no no no not me, the TARDIS, and i'm not in the TARDIS am I?"

Jack is special though :( he's coming back in torchwood anyway so i'll be ranting if he doens't make a cameo over here.

Not quite, but a certain Vortex Manipulator of his that was recently aquired by a certain other person could certainly bail said character out of a certain near death experiance.

THEORY TIME!; River uses the Vortex Manipulator to escape the TARDIS before it blows and travels back to the Pandorica, where she and Rory help bust the Doctor out. Then there is Universe Saving... somehow!

Also the whole thing has been a plot by Davros who hacked the TARDIS to make it explode and rallied the universe against the Doctor in order to make sure it explodes.

While quickly averting my eyes to all the posts I'd like to say a quick thank you to the OP for reminding me about this episode being on, otherwise my night would have been quite boring. TO BBCIPLAYER!

Not to point holes in a 100% awesome episode BUT when river decided to threaten the big blue alien for the vortex manipulater thingy surely said alien could simply go back in time and prevent himself drinking said micro explosives?

LOL that must be a joke coz that breaks the first two Laws of Time. And it's a vortex manipulator not a TARDIS...

Jack is Moffat's character seeming he was introduced under a script of his, and so I think a cameo will probably happen. But I'd rather it happened independent of big events such as the finale, so he actually gets a chance to shine. Also, I'm just not that big a fan of Jack because, well, what more is there to see of Jack? I can't see a story they'd do with him that was that original.

Jesus, that previous page is the Page of Jack. Theres pictures of him everywhere!

I just thought.. how did the Nestine Consciousness go back in time from roughly 26/6/2010 to the roman times? Or at least send the plastic romans back anyway (which sounds quite funny to me... plastic romans :D)
Everyone keeps saying that the plastic Romans were made by the Nestine Consciousness, and yes, they do have the same 'handguns' and are made of plastic, but as I recall the drones made by the Nestine Consciousness were far less convincing and much more robotic. I think the Romans were probably just made by another member of the Alliance; after all, we know that the Daleks at least have sufficient technology to create incredibly realistic human replicas.
I thought the Doctor spcifically called them autons implying the Nestine.

Ladies and gentlemen, hold the phone for one goddamn cotton pickin' minute.

The Pandorica, a prison to hold the big bad for all eternity. This Pandorica is located at Stone Henge. Not too long ago, a matter of days in fact, The Government announced plans to cut public funding to the visitor centre there(which would essentially close it down). Back in Doctor Who it just so happens that all the big bad alyuns, headed by the daleks, have bandied together to lock the Doctor away for good and close the Pandorica...

Thus I can confirm that David Cameron is a Dalek. It's taken five years but finally I have proof! Knew he was up to no good.

Fantastic episode though, chomping at the bit for next week's...
