Yeah, I'm going to keep making these threads.
So, episode 3 of the new Doctor Who series aired yesterday in Britain. This week the Doctor and Amelia answered a called from one of the time lords old friends; Winsten Churchill. Why has the Doctor been called? Because one of Churchills right hand weapon creators has "invented" a series of cheap looking robots with lazer beams and a bathroom plunger for some reason known as Iron sights. Or, if you have even some contact with Doctor Who, the Daleks.
What are your thoughts on the quick return of the Doctors most iconic enemy? Good episode? Bad?
Personally I thought this was the best Darlek episode since the Christopher Eccolestons "Dalek". Which honestly isn't saying much since the Daleks haven't been interesting for me since then. The main thing that made this episode good where the things aside from the Dalek, such as the portrayal of Winsten Churchill which I honestly thought was brilliantly done.
We did also see Spitfires in space, which was fucking awesome. Due to budget I'm sure we only saw about 20 seconds of footage of it in total, but it was a cool 20 seconds.
This episode also saw a reincarnation of the Daleks. Now they're...bigger and...in primary shades...
The new look didn't really strike me either way. It just looked more cumbersome. But then again I'm not a fan of them so maybe I'm not the one to give an opinion.
Don't really have much of an opinion on this episode either way. It wasn't bad. It does have me excited for the next one though. The weeping angels are back!
