Good twist because I always thought River was the Doctors wife from Silence in the Library episode, but she can read his real name off the cot because she is part timelord.

Is it shallow of me that my favourite part of the episode was the "I don't know why you put up with me" gag? Having said that, great episode.

Oh yes, and "Let's Kill Hitler!" is a sweet name for an episode but rather deflates the tension.

I like the series being in two parts and I don't at the same time, I dislike the wait inbetween but I like the fact its spread across.

Also I can't wait for the new torchwood.

OT: GAWD YES!!! This episode was awesome but I can't help but think about how the doctor got his screwdriver back in the last episode after the ganger doctor uses it and dissaparates.

tbh it was always going to be River... there's not really anyone else they could let it be without introducing a new character. I was pretty annoyed if I'm honest, this is pure appealing to mindless kids TV, with almost zero plot development.

Tv aimed at Kids being like kids TV? GOD, WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TOO?!?!?!?

Overall, fantastic episode. I'm really pissed I didn't see either plot point coming, but its nice that Moffett continued what he did in Season 1 by showing trhat not everyone things the Doctor is a nice guy.

BTW, while I didn't see the River Song reveal coming from miles away like everyone else, technically I did call the fact that she would at some point kill the Doctor.

Wow! I am so totally giddy with how brilliant the twist was! Fantastic!

I had wondered why they had so deliberately chosen two main charecters with very similar aquatic type names. Fantastic!

No wonder River can fly the TARDIS, write old high gallifreyan, know the Doctor's name... everything!

So we're watching out for a little blonde girl now are we?

Also, Rory the Roman rocks! He is so amazingly bad-ass it's actually awesome. (Crying Roman, got to love that too).

But nooooooo! We've got to wait until September now! *sigh*

I loved this episode. They answered more questions than were raised, which is a refreshing change. I almost shat myself when I realised what was going on.

Assuming there isn't another twist... which there will be.

We still don't know that the person who kills the Doctor is River in the spacesuit. If they wanted to make that connection then they would have shown the girls face in ep1, instead they show a spacesuit with River in it that Amy shoots.

I loved that. The comic timing with that tongue lash was brilliant.

Really great episode, it sounded as though River (and the Silurian) were calling the Doctor on that fact that he is actually a very deadly character. Which would tie in nicely with his slightly more aggressive nature this season, which he seemed to recognise to when he sat down in the control room saying "Me..."

Well that's why I said that I called it assuming everything plays out exactly as it looks at this point... which I know it won't. I was just joking about how my utterly silly idea that I came up with back when River Song first turned up might be slightly, possibly, kind of correct. Even though I know it won't be.

all i'd worked out is the girl in the spacesuit is amy & rorys daughter, the daughter is the time lord child seen in ep 2, river song kills the doctor (so she is in the spacesuit). I should have fucking seen it! then when the doctor ran off i worked it out, but i thought the tree-planet lady was the daughter until she died.

If I remember correctly the big blue guy was in the first episode of season 2 where Doctor and Rose go to a hospital in new new york. He's a really rich mayor or something and his assistant tells the Doctor and Rose to go away or something.

Anyway, "Human fools! It needs it's diaper changing!" BEST LINE EVER!
