I worked out she was the daughter a few weeks ago.

River Song

Song River

Song Pond
(Something similar to Song)
Melody Pond

Tada!
Also, was it me or at the end did it say 'The Doctor will return in 'Let's Kill Hitler'?!!
WHAT.
How did you come to that conclusion when we only found out the child's name this week?
It must have been mentioned in an episode a few weeks ago, because I definitely knew.

We still don't know that the person who kills the Doctor is River in the spacesuit. If they wanted to make that connection then they would have shown the girls face in ep1, instead they show a spacesuit with River in it that Amy shoots.
I'm still convinced that, that whole saga will have something to do with 'The Flesh' version of the doctor dying.

Well a the end of the last episode, the two Doctors joked about him surviving and stealing biscuits. And there was a line in this weeks episode about there being 2 Doctors. (between the Doctor and the Sularian I think)

Tricky, since we see the Doctor start to regenerate before he dies. It seems unlikely that the Flesh has that kind of ability, especially since it would require it to create a fresh personality and body on it's own when it's only been shown creating replicas.

Wow! I am so totally giddy with how brilliant the twist was! Fantastic!

I had wondered why they had so deliberately chosen two main charecters with very similar aquatic type names. Fantastic!

No wonder River can fly the TARDIS, write old high gallifreyan, know the Doctor's name... everything!

So we're watching out for a little blonde girl now are we?

Also, Rory the Roman rocks! He is so amazingly bad-ass it's actually awesome. (Crying Roman, got to love that too).

But nooooooo! We've got to wait until September now! *sigh*
September? I thought it said he was back in August. Maybe I'm just going crazy.

Anyway OT Brilliant episode. Rory the Roman kicks ass and the whole Ten/Eleven arguement I've had going in my head for a while now has been answered.

My one question though.

When Amy asks the Doctor has he ever had children does that mean the Doctor's daughter (not the episode) from the original series is now non-canon?

But if regeneration is a biological thing and the flesh copies a body exactly.

Then... Oh I don't know! It's all a big massive ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey.... Stuff!

Wasn't she his grand-daughter? But hopefully not as tennant said that he had kids. (It was most likely him just not answering)

I always kind of assumed there was much more to regeneration than the biological part, since he gets a fresh personality and so on. It seems far more likely to be tied in with the, as you say, timey-wimey vortex stuff which makes the Timelords so special. I don't know, I may be completely wrong (goodness knows I often am about Doctor Who) I just assumed that the flesh can't copy anything that unique or powerful. At least not without some serious time schism exposure.

Yeah, but that was followed by "I have been genetically modified to fulfill all duties of a nurse! I can produce magnificent quantities of lactic fluid at a moments notice!"

To me that tops it.

Then that's my own fault I always have difficulty (I don't know why) when it comes to the words Autumn and August. I find them indistinguishable at times.

Commander Runaway was actually a really cool guy... he was inspiring to his men, he managed to maintain order when they started fighting amongst themselves, and he had some of the coolest friggin' lines of all time!

"The Doctor is a living, breathing man. And today, we're making it our duty to fix that."

In addition to him, Lesbian Samurai Dinosaur Chick and Sexy Lesbian Katana-Maid were pretty cool characters; as was that Sontaran bloke ("I AM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VAST QUANTITIES OF LACTIC FLUID!") - in fact, I think he might've been one of my favorite Doctor Who characters of all time. I was really kind of hoping he'd survive...

There were a lot of good characters in this episode, and the whole "war" between the Doctor's Gang and the Eyepatch-Ho' was incredibly cool; the reveal at the end didn't really strike me, though. It just seems a bit stupid and convoluted... I cannot believe Moffat's been planning that since Silence Of The Library. It's a massive twist, but it just doesn't seem to "work" for me! Like... why? What's the relevance of River being Amy's daughter? It just seems stupid!

There's no way they had that reveal in mind when they first introduced River, and I'd had it pegged as a possibility a couple of episodes ago, but still a good twist. I joined the episode a few minutes late as well, meaning I was pretty severely out of the loop with what was happening in the first half of the episode, so I'll be visiting iPlayer later, but I liked it overall.

That was pretty awesome,Rory was class in this episode and liked the Sontaran. What episode was the blue guy out of though?
Good twist because I always thought River was the Doctors wife from Silence in the Library episode, but she can read his real name off the cot because she is part timelord.
Have to wait a while for the next one though....roll on new Torchwood!!
The blue guy was from "The Pandorica Opens" and I think another episode but I can't think what off the top of my head.
Isn't he in one with New New York and the Face Of Boe dying in it?

I loved this episode. They answered more questions than were raised, which is a refreshing change. I almost shat myself when I realised what was going on.
That does ring a bell, yes.
If I remember correctly the big blue guy was in the first episode of season 2 where Doctor and Rose go to a hospital in new new york. He's a really rich mayor or something and his assistant tells the Doctor and Rose to go away or something.

Anyway, "Human fools! It needs it's diaper changing!" BEST LINE EVER!
what about the one after, i can produce prodigious amounts of lactic fluid

Watching Doctor Who is like playing Chess in 4D. All the pieces make random and unpredictable movements, and none of it makes sense until it's all over.

In this case, I'm still waiting.

But who else is excited as Hell for killing Hitler in Doccy Who?! :D

Near the beginning of the episode when River is returning to her cell, Rory and River mention two doctors when it came to River saying it was her birthday and Rory wondering if there were two doctors long with some timey stuff then River saying something like, 'that's a different birthday' with that grin of hers.

Really brilliant episode. I havn't been very keen on most of this series apart from Neil Gaiman's episode, but this really was a brilliant one. I love how everything tied together, and I also love home much story them manage to fit into a single episode. Very well done.

Some apsolutely brilliant lines too.

"What is the Doctor's message?"

*explosion behind Rory*

"Would you like to repeat the question?"

_____________

"I can produce magnificent amount of lactic fluid at a moments notice!"

_____________

"I can speak baby"

*girgle*

*fiddles with bow tie* "No, they're cool."

_____________

Also "Lets Kill Hitler". Best. Episode. Name. EVAR!
