I read the story but it sounds to me that it's about a bunch of kids acting stupid in college. They aren't doing it for money but just for fun or peer pressure. They probably won't be doing after college and if they do it certainly won't be public.
I said "Find me the porn star who graduates from an Ivy league school and turns down a well paying job in an office to have sex with am stranger in front of a camera so sad virgins (like me) can watch."
The "Smut TV" portion was not aired over the airwaves (which is illegal) but through the campus CCTV system and there was no mention of the couples shown being paid just stuff the operators found online. It maybe in bad taste and certainly they won't mention in any resume if they are applying for work at a 9 to 5.

Overall? I think no - most of the women consent and are paid well. They do something they may or may not enjoy for money - much like any other job - and they always have the option to quit. In the porn industry much faster and with much less negative consequences than most industries paying as well for the required education and prior investment.

Occasionally? Sure, but that happens in every industry. It may be more disgusting (and legally rape) when it happens in the porn industry, but it's unfortunately nothing new.

And as an additional point - I'm a man and I have no interest whatsoever in being a porn star. Taking the risks with the diseases - especially herpes and AIDS - isn't something I'd rather not do, ever. Fucking strangers isn't especially appealing either.

actually she moved there so her kids would have a nice area to grow up in, it had nothing to do with the porn industry

if you actually read what she said in the trial about sex toys, she moved there so her kids could have a good place to grow up in and not have bad areas around, like there is in LA

Lol, more like Aids, and stardome. Anywho bad jokes aside, Pornograhpy is a complex issue, because it has come out into the open and been publicly accepted for less than 20 years, or so. So people are not able to accept that some women choose to do this, because they actually see it as exploiting men. Anywho I'm sure people will disagree, but I do love a good debate.

I think it does in some situations. Yes, the woman chooses to be in it, but I think some people go after women who are either depressed or down on their luck financially. In that situation, the woman chooses to be involved, but it may be her best/only option. Thinking about it that way is pretty sad.

I was sitting in school earlier and overheard a debate between a guy and a girl, the girl was asking the guy why he watched pornography, and he explained this to her, but then she raised the view that is takes advantage of "young" "innocent" women.
