Of course not! Japanese prank shows are RIDICULOUSLY mean.Tyras612 said:It was worth it just to see his face :3
EDIT: In all seriousness, was he aware that he was being filmed, etc?
No. 99.99...% would ACTUALLY react that way. I think only about 50% would admit it though. The other 50% would be "I'd totally punch that guy in the face."Amnestic said:Stop slacking and learn it then?MaxTheReaper said:That was fucking hilarious.
I wish I could understand Japanese.
As for the clip...well, as long as you make sure they've not got any issues like heart conditions which could be set off by the shock, I don't think it's a big deal. Humiliating? Yeah, a bit. But I bet that if you asked people, 99.99% (that's repeating of course) would say that they'd act in pretty much the same way.
Don't really mind this. Japanese have always taken their shows to the next level above (and often far below) what us Westerners will do.

According to one of the commenters who has basic cable over there, Comedians there are constantly doing this to each other, pranking and scaring each other for entertainment. This guy in the vid has a 4chan meme already from previous times of him making that 'panic face' and Im sure he realized soon into it it was a prank (again) and went along with it. I repeat he was not a random dude off the streets.
See what happens when we stop passing judgement instantly and do 3 minutes of research (comment reading)?
I don't want to hear anymore griping from you gripers now, America's scare-tactics takes innocent people off the streets. Now start laughing like you should've from the beginning.
Frankly, I don't think it matters.Amnestic said:I think this bears repeating since it seems not many people bothered to read it.slopeslider said:Ok. Yes This would beat the crap out of what America calls reality TV. What we have is pathetic. Though I agree that most of the population would not be able to handle it.Kalezian said:WE NEED MORE REALITY SHOWS LIKE THIS!
seriously, this was hilarious, damn Japanese television having hilarious and wacky shows.
then again, America would probably crap itself, with the whole Washington sniper case a few years back and whatnot.
though, I loved it when the shot rang out when he was near the door. priceless.
