1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

I am known as Matthew, Maroo (With an emphasis on the "Ma") or the astounding douche. I like stuff. Lots of stuff; stuff with stuff and y'know stuff. Really though I am sallow skinned, about 5"10 and 18 years young- 19 in May. I am very thin, quite gaunt and have black circles under my eyes because of my inability to sleep properly. I also have an anxiety disorder and get quite paranoid about lots of things. I smoke alot and my ideology lies in and about Anarcho-communism. I enjoy reading books of the Sci-fi genre, and have recently gained a massive interest in the Beat movement of post-war America. I want to learn to write well so I can write a novel. I love obscure music but some well known bands as well. I will mention Mr Bungle, Tom Waits and Aphex Twin to give you an idea of what I enjoy musically. I am quite cynical at times but I try not to let it show in my posts on here. Because of this I enjoy satire and maniacal comedy. I think the globe is going down the shitter and I really like brown bread and ham. I aspire to become a philosopher but in order to do so, I need to drown the little men in my head called judgemental and conceited. I'm going to stop now. I am lovely though, if you give me a chance.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

I enjoy the Escapist because there are people here who don't judge me (at least I think) and who have similar interests. I am still a fledgling but I am beginning to feel more a part of the community with each passing day. I frequent the off-topic sections and amble by User Reviews and R&P every now and then. If I am feeling frisky I head over to gaming discussion or create a thread. I recently made it my mission to attempt to make discussion my top priority when making a thread. I stray every now and then if I am not in the mood though. As for videos I really like LRR, Moviebob and (most of the time) ZP. I only just discovered Stolen Pixels and I think it's great. I think I am ok in regards trying anything new etc. I really am glad to have come across this site and the forums though. Some of the people here are top-notch. I mean it.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

Like this. It begins with the note A, then goes to G and onwards into the icy blanket of the void known as C minor. Yeah I am an amateur musician, leave me alone. I try to play the bass but I don't have the patience, at least not with my current lifestyle.

I thought of this and had to edit it in.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

Primarily right but I do things with my left a lot of the time. For example I eat with the fork in my right hand and the knife in my left.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

I am feeling strangely focused. I just played a marathon of matches in Street Fighter IV because I finally managed to get the basics down and now I am all pumped up and concentrated. I am essentially procrastinating and putting off going to bed because that means I have school to go too. I despise school. Not because of it in itself but because I have anxiety and sleeping problems. When I wake up tomorrow I know it's going to be another fucking day of feeling weird and pathetic topped off nicely with morning migraines. Yeah that kind of sums it up. At least I only have a few months left of that bullshit, so I can get into university and never ever look back. Ever.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

I am atheist, but I don't agree with being categorised by a loose and arbitrary term. I don't believe in gods, but I do believe in enlightenment. I don't know if there is some force at work, but when I look at it in a certain mood or in a logical manner it makes absolutely no sense that there would be. We are alone, at least in my opinion. However, I wouldn't rule out spiritual experiences and so I will quote Socrates, "I now nothing except the fact of my ignorance".

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

Convention? Erm. I have no idea. Maybe for games or something.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

I love Prawns and Crayfish. I am a bit of a fish nut, especially when my Dad cooks it on the barbeque. Oh hallowed salmon of the river, how do you manage to be so tasty?
[small]I have no idea either[/small]

Sorry for making it so long, I am terrible at summarising myself. Goodbye.

1. Tell me a bit about yourself.

1. *blush* Well, I am 6'5" and I wear glasses because I spend too much time reading things. I like to think of myself as a pessimistic writer, but it is not like that will ever turn out anything. I might teach once I am done with college, but my secret passion is bar-tending. I currently think Mass Effect is the Alpha of Western RPG's, and all shall bow before it.

2. I love almost all of the videos. I do enjoy the forums, but sometimes I am just too lazy to post something relevant. I really, really, really want to contribute to one of the articles, but there is a lot to write.

3. Float - Flogging Molly. I love that song and it is relevant to where I am (aboard the sink ship S.S. First Year Russian). No doubt it will change in a few weeks.

4. Righty.

5. Shitty. Russian is an evil language, and I have ideas for stories that need (badly) to be written down but I don't have the time thanks to Russian. (I am doing this instead of that damn essay)

6. No, and no.

7. Comicon.

8. I am really big into root beer and trying various alcohols, and a good root beer goes really good with deep dish pizza.

9. Yes you do have to meet my parents, and steak would be amazing.

1. I'm 16, male, in college, 5ft 7 tall (short ass) and live in England.

2. Unskippable

3. Didn't really understand this one - But I think the song 'Lucy in the sky with diamonds' by the Beatles sums me up right now, a mix of idealist fantasy and cynic reality.

4. Funny one this, I was left handed until an accident that temporarily disabled my hand, so now I taught myself to be right handed.

5. Tired, I think I may be ill, bored, seeking some sort of newness in my life

I really sound like a personals ad right now

6. I'm an atheist - and as long as nobody bothers me, I don't bother them.

7. E3 or Comic-Con

8. I'm really not that special when it comes to food; being British; Fajitas for food, something fruity for a drink.

That whole thing was like a personals ad

1. I'm Joe, I'm 19, I'm short, and this is my 100th post! And it's all about me. Excellent! I'm studying physics at university, which I feel gives me the right to be a nerd on any and all subjects, a task I take to with great zeal. I've also survived at least 6 separate events that really should have killed me, having a proper near death experience in 2 of them.

2. You guys! Also the videos - ZP, There will be brawl, ENN, and occasional episodes of Unskippable make me laugh.

3. Describe my life in music? OK, download all music that's ever been created. Now play it in shuffle. That about covers the randomness of my life.

4. Right handed. I can do embarassingly little with my left hand...

5. I'm great thanks! How are you?

6. Atheist. I don't consider it that important - It's a choice I've made, but every person makes their own decisions on questions of faith, and their answers shouldn't affect anyone else.

7. Given my love of video games, comics, and penny arcade, I'm gonna go with PAX on this one. That or E3. But I live in the UK...

8. Sticky Toffee Pudding, with custard. Main courses are vastly overrated...

And this concludes my first 100 posts with the escapist. Here's hoping I can get a couple more in before I forget that a post has to be longer than just the word 'this'!

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

I'm a 20 year old sophomore in college. I'm an Eagle scout, I like video games, Mel Brooks movies, Doctor Who, and random useless trivia.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

I'm quite fond of the videos, ZP and ENN in particular.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

I have no idea, but it would probably consist of Moody Blues songs and Celtic music.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

Right handed.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

I'm a little annoyed because my parental units insist on interrupting me when I'm gaming and watching Sci-Fi.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

Roman Catholic. I'm a practicing Catholic, but I'm also a man of science and believe that faith is not always the best answer.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

Either Doctor Who or Legend of Zelda. Either one.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

Crab legs, hands down. As for drink, anything with caffeine (preferably Mountain Dew. Jolt if I can get it).

That's me in a nutshell.

1. I'm a 19-year old kid in the wilds of Tennessee with a knack for music, writing, and being a hopeless romantic. Currently doing odd jobs for income and waiting for resident status for a lower tuition rate. I have my own little house on a hill with a good many acres of forest (and a river) on the plot. I'm also a touch fuzzy, as my avatar would suggest.

2. I came by for the forums years back, but nowadays I keep to the vids half the time. Pedro was right in that there's been an increasingly large amount of antipathy here.

3. Lullaby Set [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvbbT9E3czs] by Shira Kammen, because I've got a similarly mellow and peaceful demeanor. My childhood could probably be best summed up with Hours of Wealth [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAUwCQdOurA] by Opeth, in that it wasn't that great and I left as soon as I could. I just happened to become the eye of the storm and stayed that way long after getting away from it.

4. Right.

5. Emotionally? Content and relaxed, slightly liberated after having gotten over a bad relationship. Physically? Tired. And I have a cold.

6. I do not follow a set religion, but I tend to follow Zen Buddhist and Taoist philosophy. I believe that there is a higher power, but I neither worship nor attempt to identify it as one deity or another. It's not important in that I feel myself tasked with spreading my teachings, and I do not mind if others disagree, but I do not appreciate others attempting to convert me.

7. Ehem. *points to avatar*

8. Short-grain rice, miso soup, and fish (or eel). Green tea and sake to go with it.

Also, I have stolen your clipboard. I hope you don't mind.

6. Agnostic.

7. Video game convention? But only the games i like.

8. Coke for the drink and my Scilliana pasta for the food.

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.
Okay, I'll bite. I'm 32. Being on forums in general is a little odd for me, I'm an introvert. I moved around a lot when I was a child - for instance, I was in three different schools when I was twelve - so I am used to new people, but I also can recognize fairly quickly people I probably won't like. You have to learn this fast if you move around that much, because long term friendship isn't really something you get used to. I get on well enough with others, but I can count on one hand the number of people who have ever really gotten to know me. I would do anything for these people should they ask.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?
I came here on the recommendation of an acquaintance who didn't use the site actually. He pointed me to a particularly apt Stolen Pixels comic when we were discussing DA:O. I stayed for the forums. If there is one thing that will get me out of my head, it's talking about video games.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?
Oddly, I find this question to be too personal. How strange... seriously, how strange.

4. Are you right or left-handed?
Right

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)
I am feeling like I need to take a shower. I like showers... so the anticipation of that event makes me happy. I might crank the music to 11 when I'm in there. That will make me feel even better.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?
I believe religion exists. Seeing as how religion affects most peoples lives in some way or another, this is important. But not particularly to me.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?
Despite the fact that I prefer the company of a few friends to huge crowds, I think it would be really neat to go to a huge gaming convention. E3 or PAX I suppose.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?
Here's a confession I'll make easily enough. I've never met a nacho I didn't like. The perfect food item. It goes with anything beverage-wise.

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

I'm 15 soon to be 16 on march 30th. I think of myself as a really boring individual. Some of my hobbies are gaming, reading, writing, long walks and posting on here. My social life is nonexistent but I don't mind all that much considering most people here aren't worth my time. What else? Well my natural hair color is brown and I have dark green eyes.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

The forums and articles mostly but I also love ZP and ENN. I don't post much on the forums but I love the community and enjoy reading what people have to say on various subjects.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

I have no idea.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

Right handed

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

Bored but not to bad. Just kinda sitting around like I do everyday. Nothing ever happens so I have no reason to be cheery or even happy.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

Agnostic. I don't much care for religion.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

Maybe an anime convention or gaming one.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

Spaghetti is by far my favorite type of food. I also love Chocolate milk.

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.
Well, I'm 17 and a high school Senior, will be 18 in March. My favorite animals are anything of the canine variety and I have a passion for writing and video games. My favorites games are usually of the less popular variety, such as Shadow Hearts, Rule of Rose, and Drakengard (though Okami and Shadow of the Colossus are great too). My favorite music groups include Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Evanescence, and Linkin Park. I love to cosplay and one of my favorite movies is Old Yeller, which I watched so much when I was a little kid that I broke my Grandma's VHS tape of it.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?
I enjoy the forum (General Discussion and Gaming Discussion most) and the videos (Zero Punctuation and Unskippable are my faves) the most and I've thought about creating a group...but never have bothered to do it.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?
Hm...I don't know. I don't have any songs that fit my perfectly but there are some song lyrics. I guess I'd use a "theme song" though I don't suppose I really have one. Not right now, anyways.

4. Are you right or left-handed?
Right handed. :3 I tried to teach myself to use my other hand...and it didn't work at all. xD

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)
I'm ok for the most part though I have some jealousy issues right now when it comes to my mother fawning over my older sister because she just had a baby, I'm having some issues with my math grade in school, I have an unrequited crush/love that I long for, and I'm feeling a flicker of hatred building for one of my friends since the 7th grade...but that's from repeated back stabbings and I've had enough. At the moment, however, I'm alright. xD

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?
I'm still on the fence about all of it. I'm not sure what I think of the idea of there being a "God" or what-not. I don't believe it but I don't disbelieve it. You'd think I would have figured it out by now...but I haven't.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?
I've already gone to 3 cosplay/anime conventions and video games are covered in those too. I like cosplay cons the best, just because they're really fun. :3 I love cosplaying. It's another "hobby" I have, though I haven't done it recently thanks to money issues.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?
Definitely steak, filet mignon, and/or salmon. Loooove it. :3 As for a drink...I dunno. Not picky. Soda works just fine for me.

1. I am a 15 year old average height male with a love for drawing, music, and videogames.
2. I love Unskippible, the Articles, and most of the forums.

3. Float on I would say is what descibes my life. It is very melancholy but cheerful... humorous but intelligent.

4. Right... but I can do a lot of (not sexual) things with my left hand.

5. Depressed... my sister just got a 10-day suspension for a fight that was forced on her, it just pisses me off how zero tolerance works and how this will affect her life.

6. I am against ignorance and for learning, so Athiest. But Judaism and Buddhism have always intrigued me, The Jewish are supposed to question the world. I also love the Idea of reincarnation.

7. I used to go to star wars conventions when I was younger. Not so much anymore. I think I call them concerts now though.

8. Strogonov. it is meat, noodles, and sauce. What more do you need?

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

My name's Daniel. I go to a little school called Appalachian State University in beautiful Boone, NC (seriously, the place is gorgeous.) I'm currently majoring in Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology, which is just a fancy way of saying Graphic Design. I enjoy skiing, playing music on a guitar, some drums, and a beeping computer. I think Killer 7 is the best game ever made for so many reasons, but mostly for the story and the general WTFness of it. I also enjoy a good hookah. I love strawberry-honey flavor.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

The forums. I could spend all day here and not even notice. It's such an awesome community. I'd enter in a contest, but my everything skills are so much worse than everyone else's.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

Radiohead, The Smiths, Coheed and Cambria, and some Between the Buried and Me thrown in for good measure. I'm a bit of a loner, and the lyrical themes speak right to me.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

Right

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

Sort of meh. These last few months have been crazy, but a few things have finally gone right recently. It looks like things might change for the better, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

Yes, I'm a non-denominational Christian. It's important to me in that I think the basic teachings are great guidelines for everyday life.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

My lifelong dream has been to go to E3.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

I love me some steak. My dad cooks a mean ribeye delmonico. Of course, what better to wash down the manliest of meals than ale?

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.
-giggle- What don't you know?
Anyway. Name's Angie. I'm 23, and I don't feel a day older than 4 on most days. I'm more of an animal lover than I've any right to be, and this fall marks my first year in college. I'll be running head-first into the veterinary technician program and needless to say, I'm anxious. I prefer trance, steampunk rock, and filk (no, that's not a typo) music over most things mainstream. Hobbies include forum RPGs, Ragnarok Online, and reading. Lots of reading.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?
The chat's easily my favorite bit, with Skorgies being a close second. I don't do a lot of writing on the forum, mostly because I'm usually tied up with other things offline.

Something I'm afraid to try? Yeah, probably still that Spencer Tunick thing. I haven't quite gotten rid of my hangups on public nudity. :x

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?
Ohlord. I'd probably use this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQ94U8KFay0 (Do try to pay attention to the song, not the dancer - even if she is badass. :p)

There's no real reason for using that one, except that I listen to it constantly while writing, and that I really freakin' like it.

4. Are you right or left-handed?
Right-handed, though I can sign my name with my left hand.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)
I feel fantastic, and I never felt as good as how I do right now - except for maybe when I think of how I felt that day when I felt the way that I do right now.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?
I do and I don't. I was raised in a Catholic home, and I was active in a Methodist church while in my teens. Naturally, I'm going to identify with the Christian faith because of that. However, in the recent years I've found myself becoming more and more jaded with religion in general. I couldn't tell you if I believe or not.

And in all honesty, I don't think it should matter, so long as I'm a decent human being.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?
You're kidding me.
First of all, I do go to conventions dealing with my fandom. Dragon*Con is my Mecca and second home, assuming it doesn't flood over in Atlanta during its held weekend.
Secondly, anything sci-fi is bound to pique my interest. Firefly, Doctor Who, Battlestar - hell, even Trek makes me giddy.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?
Favorite food and drink? Italian food is always nomtastic, and the same to most southern cooking. I've discovered a fondness for boudain, and I'd probably pair it with a lime-flavored Diet Coke.

Sounds disgusting, doesn't it? :p

1. I'm a 19yr old 6ft 2" (or 3) Spanish Anglo-Indian who lives in Brighton, England, but is currently at uni in Canterbury, where I'm studying English and American Lit. I like to think of myself as reasonably intelligent, with instances of utter foolishness (rather than idiocy punctuated by occasional lucid moments). I also like to think I'm quite fair in judgement, although I'm far too self-involved and introspective to really claim that, I at least flatter myself with the idea that I usually can create a fresh perspective. My pursuits are mostly of the nerd-variety: games, films, and reading. I don't read or watch much genre fiction though (despite a current obsession with Buffy), so I've ended up becoming a nerd with artistic pretensions. Got into writing to some degree over the last year too, and I'm trying to develop some drawing skills out of some obligation to create something rather than having purely consumerist hobbies. I also mean to try writing some fiction with the same intent. It's tough work developing these skills, and I've never had much of a work ethic, so it's taking a while. I'm a big football fan too, support West Ham United and play the game myself occasionally. As I'm tall, quick and have a good long range shot (ok, powerful but inaccurate) but no composure, I get stuck in defence.

2. Definitely the general community. Don't get as much out of the forums as I used to, but I still enjoy the company (and seek the opinions) of plenty of site members.

3. Of course it varies depending on my mood, but generally I'd compare myself with the Smith's music. Or at least, Morrissey's persona (to an extent). Quite literate and sensitive with a tendency to brood, overanalyse, or be overcome by shyness. Somewhat despairing but chirpy enough to get through life. I'm not as consistently depressed (or, imo, depressing) though.

4. Right handed.

5. At the moment I'm fairly content. I watched Waltz with Bashir a little earlier, and got fairly freaked out by the real life footage at the end. I consider myself quite desensitised to the horrors presented in multimedia, but that was something else.

Generally, I feel displaced. Don't quite feel I've socially integrated into university life, I mix with a few people I get along with but don't really share any interests. Which is fairly similar to my social scenario back home. Can't really find the right kinda geek that I'd get along with. I've ended up with an eclectic mix of mainstream and alternative tastes in pretty much everything, so I've made it hard to find people who even come close to sharing my interests. Of course, this makes my romantic prospects rather bleak too, and as something of an idealist in that area, I don't make things easier for myself.

6. Ooh, religion. This could get messy. Brought up as a devout Catholic but gave it up in a bought of agnosticity (and teenage apathy) and haven't looked back. I'm happy to live my life according to my personal, heavily Catholic-influenced morals. I don't really have faith in absolute morality anymore, and while I hold some principles and feel strongly about them, I'm aware they serve a vital role in social harmony and I'm uncertain it needs a divine mandate to validate them.

I'm utterly terrified that this is merely a fabrication on my part to alleviate my fear of death, but I do feel there is a spiritual dimension to life. A soul, I suppose. I just can't accept that all I feel, all I am, is a package of meat run by chemical and electrical impulses. That there's nothing to me than an urge to survive and procreate, and everything else is a means to provide that or to occupy a brain that has evolved beyond its original remit. That every connection with a person is fueled by a fundamental desire for society, that love is just a primal urge brought about by a whiff of pheromones. I despair of humanity at times, but I still want it to mean something true rather than have everything be a self-involved illusion. While having developed civilisation to this point despite it meaning absolutely nothing still sounds impressive (in an admittedly futile sense). I'm not sure why I want life to mean something permanent, I should be satisfied in that it (hopefully) means something to the people I know. I should be able to deal with accepting humanity as we all see it in day-to-day life, without needing it to mean something more permanent or transcendent, but that's my current state.

As my ramblings suggests, I have little conviction in my own views, and respect those that do without attempting to force it on others.

7. I dunno, I'm not a really devoted fan of anything really. At the moment, probably a Buffy con (or ComicCon sounds like it has enough variety to satisfy me). I'd say an Escapist meet, but as I'm still unsure whether to go to the upcoming one in England, I can't truthfully say that.

8. Tie between biryani and paella, although some wine goes well with either. Here's the shameful part: preferably white. That's right, I'm a straight male admitting to preferring white wine. Although I always buy red out of social conditioning.

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

Okay...
I'm Katrazaie, but most people know me as Aeryn. I'm 20 years old and generally uncomfortable with the whole sharing thing. But, just for the guys on IRC, I guess I'll grit my teeth and get this done. D:
I'm a little bit set in my ways - things have to be done a certain way for me to be comfortable about it, Or I'll end up redoing something until it's done perfectly. I'm also the type of person who that, if they like a certain type of something - Food or a game for example, I will often eat that type of food/play the game obsessivly, until I get bored of it or find something new.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

I'm an IRC lurker, but I'll sometimes pop my head onto the forums now and then. I don't tend to like communities with massive amount of people in them, Which is why I stick to IRC where there are always familiar faces around. =]

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGECZjqNKLs

This track. Simply because there is so much about it. You can feel so many things in this track. I can make me cry, it can make me happy. It can make me feel relaxed. It's moving, smooth, elegant, engaging and so much more. Life is so many things, a simple song cannot really define that to a T. But this track is like a serving full of emotion and nostalgia for me.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

Strictly right handed now. I used to be Ambidexwertoiufnacrg or however it's spelt but I can't do so much with my left hand anymore.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

My nose is stuffy, and it keeps running at the most ridiculous times. My chest feels heavy and I'm hungry. I also feel anxious and just a tad uncomfortable.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

This just isn't something I want to talk about at all. Sorry.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

Comiket in Japan. I've seen some amazing cosplays there, and some funny as hell ones. I'd definatyl ahve to go fully armed with a camera. I just love taking pictures. I feel naked if I don't have a camera on me.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

I love food too much to even try to decide on one thing. ;~; My favourate meal to junk out on when I get the chance is King Prawn Chow mein and sweet and sour pork balls, I guess. D: I'd have to be drinking something fizzy with it as well. Probably an orange tango.

Well, I'm a gamer (surprise!), and I like parkour/free running (the reason I played, and loved, Mirror's Edge).

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?
I came for Zero Punctuation, because of a recommendation, I quickly grew to like Unskippable, Doomsday Arcade, that kind of fun stuff. When I finally joined, the forms became what I do most on the Escapist. (I'm still here for the videos though).

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?
... not sure...

4. Are you right or left-handed?
I'm right-handed. The only thing I know I can do lefty is play Star Wars: Battlefront 2 on PSP.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)
Normal, so calm and mellow.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?
No. In fact I'm kind of against religion in general. I don't hate any one religious unless they are ignorant about it.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?
None I can think of.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item?
Not really, I'll eat a lot of anything
Still 8.Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?
Lemonade, 'nuff said.

... Does this mean I have to meet your parents?
Yes
Quit complaining, my parents are fun to hang out with.
Think they'll do steak for dinner when I go over?
Don't hold your breath.
