1. I'm Christina Marie Volkoff. I was born on May 30th, 1992. I'm 17 for the next 3 months. I'm a senior in high school. I have black hair and grey-green eyes. I'm a hardcore gamer, but I've been forced to set gaming to the side as I prepare for college. I intend to pursue a history degree when I enter college.

2. I love the forums. There are so many awesome people on this place and I would love to meet more of them. I'm also addicted to Zero Punctuation, which is why I came in the first place, and I never regret it.

3. I would have you listen Breaking Benjamin's "Dear Agony" album. It describes my life at any point in time.

4. Right handed...it's a ***** when I go out with my friends and boyfriend cause we're both right handed...*sad face*

5. Feeling pretty good, just got back from my French Club's movie night, where I got to chill with my friends and make fun of bad disney movies. It's been a pretty good night over all...but I still have to go to school in the morning.

6. I don't believe in religion, but that comes from watching my father suffer for over 11 years. I was 11 when he died and that killed my belief in god altogether. How could a just god take away a dad from a daughter who still needed him?

7. I would die to go to a hetalia convention! I have an addiction to hetalia that is unhealthy, so being allowed a whole 3 days with other hetalia nerds would be heaven!

8. PIZZA!! As an italian, I have an unhealthy addiction to all italian foods. Spaghetti and Meatballs being the worse...and I actually drink milk with most meals...

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

I've been tempted to try the RP forums but have never got around to it. I mostly get on the E to check the news. but i also read stolen pixals and watch ZP.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

1. 21. Male. Extreme self-discipline and uncompromising values. Long hair. Trilingual. Elanus Risk Control.

2. Starts and ends with Yahtzee's ZP and EP contributions. Forums are nice. I tried most of the other stuff, and it's okay.

3. The Medieval Gregorian chant of Dies Irae. I love life and I don't know its meaning.

4. Right handed.

5. Feeling great.

6. I wouldn't refer to my beliefs and values as a religion, but for a summary: I'm a moral relativist who believes the only sin is hypocrisy (dishonesty to oneself). I am extremely intense about this, and I do my best to focus my judgment on myself first.

7. I couldn't really say. I don't really think I like conventions very much. I like education seminars, if that's a viable alternative- I like to here coherent ideas being lectured.

8. A dish called Laban Emmo- it's lamb meat boiled in yogurt soup with rice and ground beef. With it, I usually like orange juice or some combination of orange juice and alcohol.

4. Lefty!

5. Good, had a pretty nice night.

6. Religion has never been important to my family.

7. I'd love to go to E3

8. Anything that has been panini pressed. Honestly, go try it, and to wash it down, chocolate milk or Dr. Pepper.

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

Well, I'm 5'7.5". But you didn't care about that. I give my heart and soul to the music. It owns me. Unfortunately that's about all there is.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

It's all about the forums.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

The only reason I'm posting in this thread is because of this question, honestly. The song that inspires me most is probably <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP0QNiZoKs0>If You Could See Me Now, as played by Wynton Kelly and Wes Montgomery. For something that's a little easier to take meaning from, I'll have to throw up Alphaville's <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHIIATt0BaM>Forever Young.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

Left.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

Exactly what my best friend always used to tell me, "more than eight words," she'd say. Not anymore, she's not around much anymore. Thanks for getting me down. A bit more seriously, I'm actually really sad that I have to grow up. I want to grow up, but I still wish I didn't have to. I like not worrying about anything, ever. I want to be forever young, you know. Heaven can wait, I'm only watching the skies. Life is a short trip, unfortunately, and those science-y types won't have discovered immortality before I die. But I think it'll be good when I finally move on, and meet some new faces and see some new scenery. For that, I can't wait. I'm worried my time will be up before I've finished, though. That would be quite terrible. There's never enough time, you know. Funny thing. Most valuable thing in the universe and there's no way to sell it. Depressing.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

Yes and yes.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

The Jazz fandom. Probably Liverkrusener JazzFest, or San Sebastian Jazz Festival. They sound pretty awesome.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

Steak. And water. And more steak.

Dies Irae means Day of Wrath, it's about Jesus returning and cleansing the world of the wicked. With fire.

Oh, I knew what the title means. I love the melody, and I don't speak Latin. I'm not very fond of Judeo-Christian ideology, so I omitted looking up the lyrics because I think I enjoy not knowing their meaning. I meant to convey that I like life without having to know "the meaning" of life. It's a much better option than trying to summarize it in some song to which I know the lyrics. That is an indulgence I'm not arrogant enough to entertain.

1. I'm a geek, I like gaming, used to be pretty active in the Warez scene but I had a change in morals.

2. One of my friends showed me a Zero Punctuation video (one of the earlier ones, I think it was Oblivion). I loved it. Sorta thought everything else on the site was a bit too dorkish for me, until I saw that Unforgotten Realms was here and then I started watching most everything (and liked most of it). Signed up on the forums awhile back, started being more active recently.

3. Mass Effect 2's soundtrack really does sum it my life up by itself.

4. Right.

5. Tired, irritated, wanting to not be suspended from school anymore. It's been almost a month. Ugh.

6. I'm an Atheist. I used to be a passionate one, arguing with people constantly about it. After I got into high school I stopped trying to convince people that they were wasting their time. So no, not very passionate.

7. If general electronics counts as fandom lol. CES ftw.

8. Bread, because it's so gosh darn tasty and inexpensive. Dr. Pepper, Wild cherry flavor.

1. I'm 5'7", 130 pounds, male, have shoulder-length hair I tie in a ponytail, 29 years old, divorced, addicted to video games, and I have a GIS certificate.

2. I mostly only visit The Escapist for Zero Punctuation, but occasionally I browse the forums when an interesting topic comes up on the Hot Threads/Latest Posts sidebar. As for what I'd like to do? Nothing more than I'm doing already; just lurking and posting randomly.

3. My life would be Classical. It fits my lifestyle: I'm mostly serene harps punctuated by moments of intense percussion and violins.

4. I write with my left hand, and do everything else with my right.

5. Frustrated by trophy hunting in Mercenaries 2 for the PS3. Other than that, I feel fine.

6. I'm an atheist. I choose to live my life without fearing an unknown god who never shows up. No belief in an afterlife also spurns me to do good deeds for the betterment of humanity before I die. After all, the greatest measure of a man is what legacy he will leave behind.

7. I don't really care for cons. If I HAD to choose one, it would probably be either E3 (as a video/computer gamer) or DragonCon (as a roleplayer).

8. Bulgogi Steak rocks me so hard. I enjoy it with a bit of Takara brand plum wine.

1. Well, my real name is Ross Marshall, I'm 6'2" and I would describe my weight as "Heavy", I'm a proud Scot currently studying History and Politics in America for a year, but under normal circumstances I'd be in Dundee. Oh, and I spent too much time in London so I've lost my Edinburgh accent (*sob*), and picked up something more "West London"

2. I seem to post at least 2 replies a day on the forums, so that's probably my favorite part, although I do love the videos on here. Plust the Escapist is a good place for interesting (if sometimes irrelevent) gaming news

4. I am right handed, so much so that my left hand is beggining to feel left out

5. Tired. But I'm in a good mood after listening to some West Country Folk music. Also my shoulder hurts an awful lot, but that should go after a while...I hope...

6. I'm currently trying to work out whether or not I'm Christian or Agnostic, althouth I once flirted with Buddhism. No I do not take my belifes particularly seriously outside of "There's probably a God", my political beliefs come first

7. There is only one type of fandom convention I would go to, and it would be a "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" convention...and I'd dress as Slartibartfast...it would be so froody

8. Favorite Food? Hmm, toughie. Like I said, I'm "Heavy" and therefore a lover of food. If pushed I'd have to say Haggis, with pretty much anything. I love the stuff. There is of course only one drink to go with it, a wee dram of whiskey.

Hm... I am a happy, funny, fairly cheerful person. My name is Jeremy Shap, I am 5'6-5'7, have brown hair which is now in the shape of a huge jewfro, I have a cleft pallet and I a a bit subconscious about it. I like to think I am funny, I make everyone around me laugh and have good times with my friends.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?[/B]

Definitely the RP section of the Forums, I spend almost all my time there.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?[/B]

I would say a large collection of Jack Johnson's songs sums up my life. He sings about love, life and staying in a happy mood.

4. Are you right or left-handed?[/B]

Right, oh I am so bad with my left hand its not even funny.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)[/B]

I'm ok, not in the best of moods because I am sick but I am going into Vancouver tomorrow to check out the Olympic festivities so I am excited about that!

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you? [/B]

"If I wanted a crutch, I would steal one from a hospital" Justin Shap(my brother)
I am atheist, and pretty adamant about it, I don't like the idea of people running their lives around a holy being in the sky. To be honest I don't care if people believe in a god but I seriously hate organized religion, the whole idea of it pisses me off.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question? [/B]

I really want someone to organize an Escapist Western North America, other than that, I dotn want to go to a comicon or anything, to many nerds in one room!

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?[/B]

Oh boy, I love my moms homemade chicken pot pie, it is deeeeelicious! Topped off with a nice glass of cold root-beer. MMmmmm.

Favourite part, these forums. ZP is also okay. Don't mind Dorealius although the humour is a bit American at least it's funny. Can't say the same about the other content I've seen. I'd like to write for you guys and get paid, could use the money and I'm a good writer, unsure how to go about that though.
NewClassic said:

Would be easier to use a book or a TV series - music isn't dramatic or detailed enough. I don't watch TV because the situations that happen in my real life are so outlandish and drama-fuelled that TV can't compete.

Bit of a headache for staring too long at this screen. Apart from that fine.

Not religious but not really atheist as I'm loathe to say "I know nothing is out there", because what do I know about any of it, really? I guess that makes me some sort of agnostic or pagan. Not sure really how my beliefs fit into standard classifications. It's not that important to me and I'm open to other ideas - if Jesus came down right now and slapped me on the ass and said "you dumbass heathen worship me" I'm probably just go "oh, okay then".
NewClassic said:

I'm fairly sexually deviant so I'll probably go to Sexpo when it hits my town again, if I have enough money to do more than just look at stuff. Guitar conventions also interest me, I have a bit of a guitar fetish.

Really, Nuke? You would like to learn about little old ME?
Okay...

1) My name is Atticus and I'm a seventeen year old jew in LA. I want to be an animator or a musician, but I lack the needs to become such things. I'm trying to start my own internet series but I need to learn Flash animation... okay, dammit Escapists, this is MY way of telling you "TEACH ME!!!"... *ahem* sorry. :p
Anyway, I also try to convince people the following:
-In Bruges is the best movie no one has ever seen.
-Moby is the best musical artist no one has ever listened to.
-Weezer is a damn good band. [sub](Their old stuff, primarily, but there new stuff is good, too.)[/sub]
-I am awesome.
-Gary Busey is one scary mother fucker.
-Seriously, I'm awesome.
- Joe Hahn [sub](or "Mr" Hahn)[/sub], the DJ of Linkin Park, deserves more recognition than the entirety of the band itself.

2) I really love the forums and the community. Especially the forum games, those are fun. I also love the news and videos the staff puts up.

3) I have two songs that can accurately describe myself in music.
As you can see, I love hilarious contradictions. :D

4) I'm right handed when I write.

5) Honestly, I feel just fucking dandy, thank you for asking. :D

6) The most accurate way to describe me and religion is the conjunction of sounds such as...
EEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHEEEEERRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHBBBBBBLLLLLLEEEEGGGGGHHHH
Thankfully, I'll elaborate:

Me and religion have been in a "love/hate" relationship, where I either believe TOO much in it or believed too LITTLE. Thankfully, when I discovered a middle ground, I planted my ass right in it. So I'm an agnostic theist. I'd like to believe, but I'd also like some PROOF to go with it. :p

7) Oh, E3 definitely. Especially since I live in the same general area where it takes place.

8) Really? Fries. Yes, I'm going with the american stereotype and say the fries are my favorite food type. XD

There, all you need to know about me.
I highly doubt anyone found that interesting but hey, what said is said. :D

Oh, and I lost your clipboard. :p

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

I am. This has been argued by many people as very bad idea and generally disputed for about 17 years. There is metal involved. Pure, red-hot liquid metal with ions of AWESOME dissolved in it. This what I bleed. If I ever bleed.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

The BanSMop. And there are many things I'd like to do however I will not risk the ramifications of starting a "Post here and get banned" forum game.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

Skid Row's Sweet Little Sister, followed by Rob Zombie's Dragula. Why? Because they are fucking epic songs.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

I transcend such petty distinctions. I'm good with both my hands.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

I am awesome. I am always awesome, it's my base state of being arising from a combination of very cynically effective philosophy and the pure concentrated awesome flowing through my veins. There may have been an overdose of Metal at some point, I don't quite remember.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

I believe in the Almighty BanSMop. It's very important to me.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

Battlestar Galactica. I'd go as a Viper pilot. Specific convention? One that the artist of Devil's Panties is at so I could take my leafblower.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

The Souls of the BANNED with a fine Kahurungi Chardonnay along side.
"... Does this mean I have to meet your parents? Damn. Think they'll do steak for dinner when I go over?"

Yes, Nuke. You must meet my parents. I've arranged a date next week. Do try not to end up monitor-down in the soup this time.

I'm 23, work for Starbucks, and live in Colorado. I love video games, anime, and working random quotes/song lyrics into conversation. And right now I have a really great buzz on from 9 shots of espresso <3

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?
I love ZP and the off-topic forum. And Yahtzee's voice pops into my head at the oddest times.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

SOUNDTRACK OF MY LIFE

4. Are you right or left-handed?
Right, and very definitely so.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)
I am beyond happy. I'm having a conversation with this guy I really like about tabletop RPGs, and feeling nerd-girl in the most wonderful way.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?
I am a Catholic, albeit a fairly lapsed one. It's important in a weird way, because I'm fairly OCD and rituals are soothing.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?
I actually attend Colorado's anime convention, Nan Desu Kan (or as the locals fondly refer to it, NDK) every year. And lucky me, this year Anime Central falls on my birthday, so I'll be flying my happy bum out to Illinois to celebrate with pals.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?
Right now? Buffalo wings, the spicier the better. There is nothing better in the world than a big plate of Buffalo wings with plenty of blue cheese dressing and celery... and a Coke to go with. <3

My name is Peter, I'm 15, single and doing Year 10 at High School at the moment (that sounded like an advertisement on a dating website......). I have been playing the drums for about 5-6 years now and am currently in a band with some friends of mine. Gaming and reading have always been hobbies of mine.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

Gaming and Off Topic Discussion, Unskippable and Zero Punctuation.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

Dream Theater, because they are one of my favourite bands and they are awesome.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

Right handed.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

I'm feeling fine now I suppose. Today wasn't necessarily a bad day, but it wasn't a really good day either. I enjoyed it.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

I was raised into a Greek Orthodox family and always sort of believed in it, but over the last couple years I have sort of questioned religion and don't really have any religious beliefs at the moment.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

I've always wanted to go to an E3 convention.....

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

Favourite food? Hmm that's a tough one. I love Potato Bake, Burritoes, Yiros' and pasta with cabonara sauce. Oh and my favourite drink is Pepsi Max. It's awesome, I love it.

1. My name is Joshua Richard Ens. I live in the cold reaches of Northern Alberta. I am 18 years old and am attending my first year of college taking a major in Political Science. My personality can be described as slightly schizophrenic, as I can be happy one minute, pissed the next, insane one second and somber in the next instant, all very conflicting. I love to write which is evident when I start any RP. Apparently walls of text scare people. I am insomniac and have been since birth, so I don't know what good sleep is like.

2. My favourite part of the Escapist would have to be a combination of the Videos, the User Review Section and the RP Section, though the latter has become a bit of a love hate relationship right now.

3. I realize that this may not be exactly right, but I believe that the band Breathe Carolina sums up me in the style of music they have. It's hard to describe, it's a happier beat, with a darker screaming part to it. I believe it describes my constantly shifting moods to a tee. Here is the song that shows this the best. Remember it isn't the lyrics, but rather the tone and beat:

4. I'm a lefty, but I can write pretty well with my right and most sports I'm right handed as well.

5. How am I feeling? That's a bit of a loaded question right now, so I might go into a bit of detail. Right now I am trying to get an assignment done, but the school website won't work, I believe the servers are down, so i can't get the sheet describing what I need to do. I'm under alot of stress as midterms are coming up and I don't think I'm ready for my Economics midterm, as I'm not that great at the class in the first place. I'm under extreme sleep deprivation from the stress of all this. This added to money issues I'm having right now, since I was ineligible to apply for a student loan, due to some bullshit government clause. My one outlet, the RP Section has slowed down, and my latest thriller RP, something I wanted to start really bad is suffering from lack of interest, and I think because of college eating habits, I'm becoming underweight and losing all the muscle I spent my highschool years working on. The only things keeping me sane right now are the roommate when me and him watch hockey and such, and whoever has been talking to me on twitter and at school. Stressed is an understatement.

6. I am more of a deist than anything, but my take on it all is a rather pessimistic ideal, due to the fact that the logical side of me wants to abandon it, but the church and such that I received as a child is so far buried I can't shake it off. It isn't that important to me, unless I hear some close minded individual on either side of the fence.

7. If anything, I would attend one of the Escapisms that have been going on, but because of my geographical location, I highly doubt that would happen unless I won the lottery.

8. Wings and a double of Captain's Spiced and Coke. The best drink for unwinding with the most delicious food ever.

Now as for meeting my parents, I don't think that's smart where I live, locals are slightly insane. You are however welcome to join the RP I made if your interested, its made for those who love to write big paragraphs and has a deeper story then most RPs I've been seeing so I'm going to use this opportunity for a....shameless self plug [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.177173-The-Kidnapped-Interest-Thread-2-reserved-4-open-slots] to hopefully boost the amount of applicants, and in such, boost my self esteem. Good Lord I wrote way too much.

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

I'm in my late twenties, have a Bachelor of Science where I double-majored in Botany and Zoology. But you can call me a biologist. Favourite games include Prototype, Assassin's Creed 2 and Super Mario: Yoshi's Island (SNES).

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

I initially came here for Zero Punctuation, then found love with Unskippable. Now along with those two, I have a deep-seeded affection for Doraleous and Associates, and Game Dogs. And I have great respect for Movie Bob :)

Nothing I'm afraid of per se. Loving on the forums where I've just recently started to post.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

I tend to have songs that stick in my head which, if I bother to listen to them, actually reflect what's going on in my life at the time. However there seems to be nothing in my head right now to reflect my life ;)

4. Are you right or left-handed?

Right-handed, but I can teach my left hand to do numerous things. I can use scissors and scalpel equally well in both hands.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

Feeling a bit tired... I'm at work, and it's a bit boring but oh well. I'm also ecstatic, since I've been offered a new job which is located close to my home. So no more hour-long traveling trips for me, which I've indulged in for the last 9 years.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

Yeah, I am a rather spiritual individual. I believe in God, but not in the entirely Christian kind of way. I don't fear him, and in fact I believe that my bisexuality is something we'll have words about when I get to the gates.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

I really would have loved going on the Browncoats cruise a couple of years ago in America.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

Steak cooked on the barbeque, with thin-sliced potatoe chips.
