1: I'm almost 16, I drive exclusively manual transmission, I'm 5'7", and other than that all I do is run.

2: My favorite part has got to be videos, namely Zero Punctuation and Unskippable

3: alternative/indie rock, lots of stuff no one's ever heard of (the Decemberists, SFA), and some mildly popular alternative (the Strokes, the Killers)

4: Right handed

5: not sure. interested? I was just at a small jam sesh, the girl I like is on facebook RIGHT NOW, and I'm about to have the house to myself. yeah, I'm just kind of ready for anything right now

6: I guess I'm a christian, I go to church every once in a while

7:I guess a running convention. all I do besides sitting at the computer and going to school is run. I've met a lot of great people doing it, and it keeps me in shape and with a vague sense of purpose

8: Pasta or pizza, something quick and filling that gives me the energy to run. Favorite drink would be water, I drink sooo much of that due to running

1. I'm 18 on the 24th (yes tomorrow) 6'1.5 feet tall with ginger hair, recently lost 4 stone form 16 to 12. I argue all the time about little things, can drive (own and payed for my own car) and hate drinking (booze not water or juice)

2. I like the social interaction feeling that's not like facebook were people want to be your friends just to increase there numbers.

3. My life in music would be old 80's hair metal and glam rock, mainly because of my mother who plays old music on her jukebox so its ingrained into me

4. Right handed

5. I feel old (yeah I know I'm not I just feel it) and I miss Blackadder

6. I would say I'm not atheist but more just anti organized religion (I have absolutely no belief in god I just don't feel you can group people together based on there beliefs or lack there of).

7. Halo. I don't know why but I just like halo so a convention would seem fun.

8. Being from northern England I LOVE a good pork pie.

I was born under the sea,but moved to the surface world after being banished for clam dealing.

I was taken in by a scare crow,he taught me to read and write and got me a job at the bank.I didn't speak much Italian which was handy as in Britain most people spoke English.I worked in the bank for two years polishing the money but was fired when i uncovered the scandal that cash machines aren't computerized...they are run by underpaid, over worked dwarfs!! This blatant abuse of human rights disgusted me so i started a campaign and within a year snowmen gained the rite to vote. By that time the bank realized that putting dwarfs inside cash machines was a big mistake.....they now use abandoned orphans as who is going to care...

Anyhow after that i couldn't find another job, i looked literally everywhere!! even down the back of the sofa. Eventually i sold my legs and got enough money to buy the shoes i'd always wanted but they didn't have them in my size so i brought a boat and flew to the moon, only to find i just didn't get on with the natives. I couldn't speak clanger anyway so i sailed back home and returned to watering can which i have lived in ever since....
For starters, Dwarfs don't have human rights, they have Dwarf Rights, which are functionally different at a couple of bases, primarily where certain political and socioeconomic ideologies come into play. I'm glad you feel for the Dwarfs in that way, but many of them would kill for jobs like those. Dark, tight quarters are the sorts of jobs passed down across the generations, often in fairy tales passed on in song. It's a unique society that we don't really share in a lot of levels.

Beyond that, selling your legs would preclude not being carried in the right size, unless you were buying them for a friend or loved one?

Either way, point is I still read these. Appreciate your candid opinions, though. The narrative is pretty funny, too.

I would go to an SMT convention. The SMT series is my favorite game series.

I really like Macaroni and Cheese.

1. I'm 20, English, and a unique human being (more so than most...takes too long to explain).

2. Forum, usually off-topic. Yahtzee. Unskippable. News articles are usually good too.

3. Jamie Cullum. Sometimes up, sometimes down. A strange mix of sweet and rough sounds. Random Jazz-like outbursts. Plus I play piano standing up most of the time, and a loosened tie.

4. Leftie, although I do many things right-handed (thanks a lot society!)

5. I'm on a knife-edge between good and bad. Anything could tip me either way. I'm feeling extremely average.

6. Not as such, just be nice to people, unless they prove to deserve otherwise. I am open about religion, as I have many religious friends (muslims) who I talk to about their religion, its quite fascinating.

7. I think it would have to be a anime/gaming one. Only because I'd make a badass Dante from DMC, and my best friend is a spitting image of Spike Spiegel.

8. Curry with lager! I told you, I'm English!

4. Are you right or left-handed?

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

1. I am from Washington State, I am about 6' tall. Other than videogames my hobies are basically poetry and sports. I have a very short attention span and most of the random things I do to screw with people are caused entirely by boredom.

2.I joined first and foremost for the videos. The forums are cool and the community here is great but without the videos I must say that I wouldn't keep interested for very long.

3.The song Remember by Disturbed. I have been through adversity, questioned my identity, and fooled around with all of the existential bullshit that everyone else has, but in the end I am still here, still breathing, and still living my life.

4.Right handed

5.I am feeling quite good, this is one of the more interesting threads I have seen in awhile, I am almost done with class, and I get to go swing dancing tomorrow night so things are looking up.

6. I am an atheist as a product of my doubt. My current set of beliefs are not as important to me as a philosophy of doubt and analytical thought that permeates my being.

7. I really enjoy certain games, books, movies etc . . . but I tend to really dislike giant fans other than myself and possibly friends if we have more in common than the fandom. Case in point, I obviously enjoy Marvel Comics, but I went to a relatively small convention and got driven up the wall by the fanatics. I consider myself a well-rounded person so fans to the degree of a convention annoy me greatly.

8.Easy Mac and Mountain Dew, I haven't found anything that can beat it.

OP: This was a really good idea. And my parents would love a steak dinner.

A bit about me? Well there's just a bit to say. I'm 5"3, 5"4ish? I enjoy music, video games and comedy. I am a staunch believer that comedy is the best bandage for a wound. I do ameteur sketch and stand-up comedy, and I study History, Maths and Physics.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?
I do like reading the forums; not necissarily posting, as most of the time my views have been expressed and I don't feel like reiterating the same thing. I like most of the video content here too, and there are certain articles I frequent regularly - Shamus Young's stuff is ace. I'd like to be a more engaging person, but often lack content/confidence. I like it when my posts are quoted.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?
A grand, orchestral piece of epic, uplifting music. Hans Zimmer's works are magnificent - most notably his work on Gladiator and the recent Batman movies.

4. Are you right or left-handed?
I'm right-handed to the point my left hand is fairly incompetent.

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)
I'm feeling rather good. A tad annoyed that I could be doing better at some classes but I had a mild epiphiny today with some work so that was glorious. I find that I learn better by teaching others, which explains why i'm acing some subjects and scraping others. Feeling a bit pressuriesed by looming exams, and worried at the extent of University hunting that i've got to do now. I really want to buy Mass Effect 2 but i'm still saving up money. I really want to see Iron Man 2.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?
My view is that i'm sad. I'm sad that I don't have the belief that some of my friends have in thier religion - it seems to comfort and bolster them. I dislike adhering to a religion, and i'm a staunch agnostic. I like having religious people around, they tend to be friendly and generous people; I do, however dislike zealots.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?
I really want to go to a Convention; however, most of the ones that interest me happen across the pond. I'd like to go to E3, ComiCon, Digital Overlord.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?
I love Greek food; since I have family living in that area, I tend to have it only when I visit. Gorgeous food; souvlaki and kleftiko are heavanly. Dessert would be the chocolate cake that my aunt does - perfectly.
Drinks? An ice-cold soft drink on the Coca-Cola side of business (Coke, Sprite, Fanta)
[sub]sorry about the stain, I spilled hexane on it[/sub]

My name is Cezar, I live in Romania. I like Photography and making games...I have some skill in Photoshop but I can't say I'm great.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

I really like Unskippable, Zero Punctuation, ENN, LRR and the news that gets posted.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

Queen - It's a hard life [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgNzxqrngU8]. Because life is hard, but ultimately awesome :).

4. Are you right or left-handed?
Right

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

Very tired because of an unusual sleeping habit.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

I'm an Ortodox Christian. I believe in God but I also think religion isn't advancing with humanity and that's why it's loosing the support of many teenagers.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

Nope.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

I like the Big Mac from McDonald's...mhmmm

1. I'm sixteen, about five feet, ten inches tall. (Sorry non-Americans. Can't be bothered to go and convert that for you.) I have a PS3, PSP and DS in terms of gaming hardware. I run a Mac, but want to add a Windows OS to it so I can emulate a lot easier and such. I record Let's Plays and post them on YouTube. Checking out my profile, there's a YouTube box there and every video listed is an LP video. :D I also do a bit of writing, apparently I'm good at it. You can find that on my deviantART page if you care. (My username is consistently the same throughout my online activities.)

2. Forums, definitely. Videos secondly.

3. ... Huh. That's a toughy. I'll get back to you on that. (As in, never.)

4. Righty.

5. Lonely. I'm infatuated with one of my best friends but she won't even give me a chance. *Sigh* Kind of lame.

6. I'm deist, though I was born and raised Christian, and it really isn't that important to me.

7. I've made it a habit to go to the Animarathon anime convention yearly, as it's held within my area.

8. I very much enjoy ramen and Hot Pockets. A slacker's meal. Pepsi and Hawaiian Punch being the best drinks around.

1. Tell me a bit about yourself. No more than a paragraph. Talk about whatever you think is relevant, be it interests, or height, favorite Mass Effect manufacturer, whatever.

Well, I'm a 16 year old female named Tanzi. I lived in Belgium for four or five years, but have since moved back to my native country of Ireland. For the Leaving Cert I'm taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with higher English, ordinary Maths and European Section French. I'm hoping to study Veterinary Science in university. I'm a part-time vegetarian, but only to lose weight when I feel crappy, so no moralfag here. I'm also something of a grammar Nazi. I'm just about 5 foot, and my hair's currently quite short. It's brown (natural colour) at the moment, but sometimes it's pink. I like animals, vidjagames, the Internet, computers, horse riding, reading, writing and music. I have a little sister who's 12, and my parents are together. I have a very cute dog, and a very silli other half ^_^

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?

I like the videos. Yahtzee's probably the main thing that brought me here, like many others, no doubt. It's been an awfully long time since I've been on a new forum, so I'm rather reluctant to post here. Mainly due to the fact that I hate feeling foolish, and I'm quite paranoid about what people think of me, but I'm not pretentious or self obsessed.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?

Varied. I listen to most everything, from Gangsta Rap to Trance to Industrial. Anything and everything, which I suppose suits, as I'm open minded and always changing.

4. Are you right or left-handed?

I'm right handed, and even though left or right handedness isn't genetic, I'm the only person in my close family (immediate and cousins, uncles and aunts, grandparents etc) who isn't left handed. Strange, huh?

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)

Right now, at this very second, I'm actually feeling a little off. I'm slightly nauseous because I was playing Half Life on my laptop and if was far too close to my eyes, and I think I've just had an emotional day. Stress in school, a lot of trekking around, argument with my parents. I'm quite tired, but I've been sleeping a lot. Sounds like depression, but it'll pass. That happens too. Sucks man.

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you?

I'm quite agnostic. I looked into the whole Satanism thing (aww yeah UberGawth), and I didn't like it. I dislike the idea of Christianity and other such religions, and while polytheistic religions seem to make more sense, I have no urge to follow them either. Essentially, as far as I'm concerned, believe in whatever you want, jut don't let it intrude on my life. How non committal is that?

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question?

Probably a convention subjecting itself to a band I liked. I'm not really into any of the Japanese type things (weeaboo I ain't), and while I enjoy classic comics, I would feel no need to go to a comic con, except maybe for shits and giggles.
And were Nine Inch Nails to get Treznor off his lazy ass and back to making me feel elated every time he opened his mouth, I'd go to that convention.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?

I can never answer this. Ever. I have no real food preference.
I suppose I like Gnocci, the little potato pasta things, and a plain tomato sauce. For dessert, probably some kind of Cheesecake. I drink beer, but not spirits or cider, and wine costs too much for me to afford. Non alcoholic beverage preferences include Dr. Pepper and Coke.

There you have it.
I'd post pics, but it'd be weird, 'cause I don't know anyone's name

TRombone player, 6'1"- or so, gamer obviously.

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Forums, videos, contests, advertisements, articles? Is there anything you'd like to do, but you're too afraid/unsure of how to try?[/B]

My people and the articles. It makes this community stand out above the rest

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why?[/B]
Something with some depth, alittle aragant trumpet, some goofy trombone parts.

4. Are you right or left-handed?[/B]
Right

5. How are you feeling right now? (Don't knock it, it's a really important question. Feel free to go on at length.)[/B]
Pretty Good, feel like killing my brother, but thats "normal" I want to text this girl i'm interested in, i think she is back. But we live 4 hours apart. and She's at practice(we both play same instrument)

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you? [/B]
Agnostic, i love the cumminty of a religon and quotes from the Bible, just because they are so strong, but really hate the rest.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question? [/B]
TRombone Convention, PC Gamer(the mag or just all) convention.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it?[/B]
FRied Pickles with a Dr Pepper or MT Dew.

This is a very good idea

1. Tell me a little about yourself? Well, darling, I am working a research lab for refractory metals, I attend a variety of classes, flirt endlessly with girls, have been often complimented on my technique for making out, I enjoy walking for hours at a time, love the rain, and prefer juice over most booze. Now, booze-juice, however...

2. What's your favorite part of the Escapist? Oh, come now, surely you must know! I love the free flow of opinions, of reviews unburdened by pettiness and droll commonplace. I love the abject, solid, refined stances on how things could be better, and why the are "The Suck". The articles, about poignant examples of things were, how things are now, and how things will never be since devs don't listen. The formal presentation wearing a suit and tie, but it's a funny tie, and the socks are bright pink--formal, and yet unafraid to be as goofy and ludicrous as can be within bounds. The way the people here discuss all the topics, except those that might set a-twitch the eyes of our dear mods, and even then, they risk punishment and wrath on occasion to continue to debate.

3. If you could describe your life in music, how would you do it and why? Something unexpectedly epic while appearing mundane, like a full orchestra playing the Tetris A-Type theme, with some lewd bits mixed intricately among the humor, with only a snippet for the serious.

4. Are you right or left-handed? Well, my dear, that depends on the activity. Whilst eating the sammich you made me last night, I use my left, because of what you did to my right ;). For other things, like holding a pencil, applying glue to a sample, or tweaking knobs on the Microscopes, I use my right.

5. How are you feeling right now? A little bummed about a test that absolutely decimated me, while craving for a hearty smack-fest in Brawl, and 100% dying for another of those sammiches ;)

6. Do you have a religious belief, and without going into too much argumentative detail, is it important to you? I consider myself an agnostic, really, finding my own beliefs tantamount to my own existence as I currently am. It means I rely on myself, am accountable for my own mistakes, yet open to the possibility of spiritual enlightenment, which I seek through meditation, knowledge, travel, and companionship of kindred souls.

7. If you could go to a convention for any form of fandom, what fandom would it be. Do you have a specific convention in mind when you answer this question? Haha. Unfair for you, I just went to a convention for work, so it is fresh in my mind. Though, if I had my choice, I would attend one of the Gaming Expositions, preferably one with all contenders, with developers and companies showing off their upcoming titles.

8. Finally, what's your favorite food item? Any particular drink or wine you like to go with it? As of recently, it has become a Pirosky, a Russian pastry with things stuffed inside--meats, vegetables, cheeses, all mixed together, melted (cheese), and put on the inside of a roll of sweet, delicious bread. They fit in your hand, and one is enough to satisfy you, while a second will put you to the great side of full, while not pushing you over that you might become lethargic and tend to want to sleep. For a drink with it? A simple juice, or a lemon iced-tea.

1. My full name is Thomas Hargen McCarthy. 16. English. I'm an easy going, very lazy but also a very caring guy. I will look after any one of my friends and I have a shovel to burry thier enemies. I'm half Norwegian (mothers side). I like music mainly from the 90's and first part of the (20)00's I'm maily into rock at the moment. I'm loving Clutch but also love a lot of other groups and singers.

2. My favorite part of the escapist. Well I cam for the ZP but stayed for the forums. I love reading the articles as well. There is always something interesting to read even if it is just the editor's note.

4.Right handed.

5. At the moment I feel tired because it is 11.00pm and I should be going to bed soon. I'm also very happy though because I think I'm in love with this girl and I can't stop thinking about it.

6. Does karma count? I don't realy believe in it with a passion but I like to think that if you do nice thing nice thing will happen to you and that twats get to burn in hell.

7. Sorry. I've got no fandom thing that I would want to go to. However if they do a massive HL2 episode 3 gathering you can sure expect to see me in my bright orange condom suit and crowbar.

8. Norwegian Aqivit is quite funny. Burns like tiolet cleaner (yes I have drunk that before when I was very young) Favorite food. I don't know. I would say a tomato pasta served cold and fresh with lots of pasta and tomato salsa, prferably a little bit spicy, type sauce with a few evtra vegetables and those little cube cheese things that you can put in salads as long as they are a good flavour.

And thats as close as you will get as me in a nut shell

1. I am 18 years old. I live in rural Victoria. I am 6ft tall. I am studying to be a fitness instructor.

2. What is my favorite part of the escapist? The forums. I love the forums. A great way to waste the time between gaming and the other things i do, such a sleeping and eating.

3. If i could describe myself in music. Well unfortunately there are not many songs describing th life of teens in rural Australia so sorry i'm afraid i cant.

4. I am right handed.

5. How am i feeling? Alright. My arms are a bit itch because i just had to pull a bunch of blackberry's out of the garden and i got a few thorns in my arm. And thats about it really. And hungry, i want toast.

6. Damn straight i have religious beliefs. The giant flying spaghetti monster and that West Coast is considerably better than Collingwood.

7. I would love to go to a Warhhammer convention. I know lots of 40k players but no Warhammer players and it would be nice to get a game for once.

8. Spring rolls. They are awesome and if you argue that i will beat you with a stool.

And that is all. Great idea for a thread by the way.

Are you hitting on me... Oh wait, you made that joke.

Hi I'm Daveman (bet you can't guess my real name), I'm from the south of England, currently in the north of England at university studying Engineering. I'm a gamer, obviously, but I also consider myself a bit of a film aficionado. I also like Rugby a fair bit and so am very happy because every weekend is 6 Nations Rugby which is the best Sport tournament or whatever to watch.

My favourite part of the escapist has to be the videos, but only because I discovered Doomsday Arcade which is my favourite thing on the internet. I will miss it when it's done, just as I cried when I finished reading Mostly Harmless. I guess I'd like to get involved with user groups a bit more...

In music my life goes: red hot chilli peppers, St Mathews Passion, Iron Maiden, Eminem, Pearl Jam.

I am right handed.

Right now, I guess I'm a bit tired, I've had some late nights the past couple of days plus the start of my week is always busy.

I don't swing towards any particular religion, I just have my opinions. I believe in science I guess summarises me, science is very important to me.

I guess it would be some sort of anime convention. I'm not a fan of anime but I really love YuGiOh the abridged series and I'd love to meet Little Kuriboh. I also kind of got into the actual YuGiOh story because of it so I watched every episode of YuGiOh and YuGiOh GX. I got annoyed though because GX started out hilarious, frequently taking the piss out of itself, with some awesome characters but ended up really shit. This shows the ridiculous amount of time I have on my hands.

I love a lot of food, cooking is one hobby I didn't mention but I really love to spend time. I guess my favourite dish to cook is Chicken Chow Mein, it's so simple and easy and very relaxing and is really tasty even if you over-season it or something, you just have to make sure the chicken stays nice and juicy. It also tastes pretty good reheated.

One question, what's "industrial" music?

1: Im 21, I've been a gamer for 15 of those years, and i've spent more on gaming than most people do on cars... seriously if i could have done things differently i'd be driving a 1968 Charger right now. Most of my free time is spent either playing games or playing guitar. My name, well you can just call me Pod.

2: My favorite part of the escapist is the news and the videos, i'm enjoying the forums for now but i'll likely dissapear once i get some work again.

3: I'd let my fingers and my guitar do all the talking because they're the only things that really know what im feeling.

4: Both but i'd say my right is my natural dominate.

5: Alright, i got alot going on that im not really proud of myself about, but like i always say "this too shall pass" someone else said it first but i really like its meaning.

7: Eh, i've never done a convention and i probably wont unless i get some friends who are into the geeky things i am, and my friends hate video games and nerdy stuff so meh.

8: Lasagne, and who has time to drink when you're eating fricking lasagne?
