I personally support Animal rights to the extent of not getting abused, which is what this is.

Texas did this? That explains everything. Mexico needs to get a better army and attack Texas; it could definitely afford a bit of population control.

Bullfighting is more elegant, moreover the bull is not garenteed to loose, given it's not tied up by the waist. There are a fair number of matadors who are gored to death by the bulls. Evan more, the bull fights once (Assuming it doesn't win) and while it is killed it is not taunted for it's entire life. It's death is also natural: death at the hand of a stronger/more capable animal.
