I just want it like Origins, in feel, in art style, in atompshere, in combat, becuase for me at least, Origins was a near perfect game.

More exploration wouldn't go amiss, if they could create a rural feel like in Skyrim, it would be epic.
I could certainly find some legit critisisms of Origins, like the fact that the overall exploration size is pretty damn small. If they made the map much bigger, like Skyrim, then I think they would sell a small army of copies.

Also, lose the ridiculously large weapons and stop making all armour so huge and spikey.

I was playing Origins the other day and just wishing I could explore all of Ostagar and the Imperial Highway and stuff, it would be so good.

I don't know if you've seen it, but I thought I might leave this here:
I have seen it.

In fact I own The Witcher 2 which is what that is. Now what does that have to do with DA3?

On Topic....

What I want to see, hmmm.....

I want to see BioWare sell the IP on to someone else so it won't end up shit.

They lost a lot of fans with DA2. Not only it sold half of what DA:O did, many didn't like it. Retailers even refused to shelve an Ultimate Edition.

My bet is EA will close the company before the project is finished, or at least get rid of the DA department.

What I want?
DA:O within a TES style open world. That would be fun. Old style tactical RPG combat, a good art style that didn't make everything look cartoony and ridiculous (Especially the Darkspawn. man they sucked in DA2), an Epic storyline, good levelling system and inventory, and a large, open, roaming world. What more could you want?

Hehe, I remember when DA2 came out and people came out defending it with the 'Other games are coming out, and we're in a recession. Just wait and the sales will pick up' BS. Yeah, see how that went?
And if they shut down the DA division, they'll likely shut down the ME division as well. The controversy over the endings really won't be helping sales. This crap is worse than the DA2 stuff was.

Perhaps on the character front, BioWare could outsource some of the writing to other people. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/experienced-points/6862-The-Writers-of-BioWare on this website we got a guide to they typical characters we've all seen before.

Get new writers for new characters, because these ones got old a while ago.

Ehhhhh, maybe. But if we're to believe the DA lore, that would require a rather substantial jump forward in time. True Blights aren't supposed to happen too often, in fact I believe they don't even happen once an "age". As I recall there's only been 4 of them in the world's history.

Not saying the Darkspawn won't be involved, in fact they likely will be. I just doubt they'll be the primary antagonists like they were in DA:O.

Of course, if they take after Mass Effect, the end will turn out that none of the events really happened and they were all just a hallucination of The Warden as his mind was being controlled by Flemmeth........... :p Sorry, just couldn't resist.

But speaking of the old witch, she's my vote as far as "who's going to be the main villain?" is concerned.
Hmmm maybe not a true blight, but something to do with what the architect was doing, maybe he succsesfully managed to make all darkspawn free of the old gods call. And its an actual invasion or something. and flemmeth! damnit i forgot about that old witch...this is why i think..i hope anyway that DA3 wont be the last game. There are so many storys that just cant be tied up in one game...i also want to know whats going on with the wardens son that morrigan has...if they do this right it'll be one epic game anyway.

I don't think Dragon Age should have gone for a sequel type epic long story thing like Mass Effect - it should have just told connected stories in the Dragon Age setting, as opposed to one long epic saga.

I would probably buy if it was essentially DA:O with a new storyline, the same combat (but either fixed so mobs can't run stright through your sword/shield warriors or significantly stronger taunts) and more transparent numbers so that I don't need to use a website to calculate my stats.

Dragon age: Origins was one of my favorite games. There were many things I loved about it, the Qunari being one of my favorites.
Dragon age 2 was a game I still enjoyed but was dissapointed by. There were only 2 big things I liked about it.
The Qunari. I love the qunari and they did an alright job with them in DA2. I wish that they were more involved in it and it would be great to have more options with them, perhaps the rougue elements of the Chantry ask Hawke to get that book for them, you can either refuse or help them and then fight off Qunari. Or you can refuse, in which case they do get it and you can help the Qunari. I just want more Qunari.

The second was the ability to change your appearence after starting the game. That DLC that came free with new copies, you could use a mirror to change your appearence, I alway's like these, I wish Skyrim had one.

However I am not confident about DA3. I didn't buy ME3 and I probably won't buy this unless I can find some fan reviews that say it is closer to Origins level.

just do something so terrible like that whole useless MA3 saga (which I honestly dont care about) that we never see another dragon age again , so bioware pay attention to a real game like baldurs gate again.

DA3 WILL HAVE MULTIPLAYER

Kept the picture in because it makes me lol.

But really, I don't have a problem with that turn of events. I'm not surprised, considering they put mulitplayer in ME3, and I think it is awesome, I play a bit of it every day.

Though, I don't know how the hell they will do it with DA3. But, I have confidence, seeing as I haven't found any problems with ME3's multiplayer, other than BioWare has problems properly calculating and handing out rewards for their little weekend Operations they've been having. I completed the qualification for getting commendation pack during this last Operation, but haven't got it yet.

---------------

Now onto the question, what would I like to see for DA3.

In all seriousness, I want it to be exactly like DA2, combat mechanics, leveling/ability system, dialogue wheel, and a voiced player character(silent "seemingly telepathic" protagonists feel outdated to me, and it really doesn't fit in my opinion, since everybody around this silent person is talking their mouths off).

Character: "What do you say great hero of the land?"

Hero: "........" (stares blankly at the character that spoke)

Character: "I concur. You are wise beyond your years."

But to get back to what I want: The only things I think need to be done for DA3 is make it longer than DA2(though with DLC it was a 60+ hour game for me, with just one play-through) and have more dungeons that are different from each other. Also, to appease the people that were mad that they couldn't play dress up with the rest of their party, put back in the ability to put clothing gear on the other party members.

Really, I liked DA2 worlds more than DA:O, there really wasn't much I found good about DA:O, though that's probably because I found it to be so broken combat mechanic-wise, leveling and ability system wise, boring and cliche character wise, and outdated dialogue system wise, that after 20 hours I said, "To hell with this, let's move on to DA2 to see if they fixed the problems I had with DA:O", and to my great surprise and love, they did and I had a barrel of fun, and had especially great fun interacting with the actually interesting and different from each other party characters(meaning that they weren't all mostly closed off ass-hats, that I had to reform and show them the way, like in DA:O).

I'd like something that doesn't forget about the Warden and Hawke.

Option 1: You play as a new protagonist who eventually parties up with both Hawke and the Warden. The main story focus is on those companions and you act as the decision maker/observer.

Option 2: You play as the Warden and as Hawke. Perhaps in a separate story sequences that eventually links you together and drives you forward.

From a mechanics standpoint I'd like to see the Dragon Age 2 model further expanded as it was far superior to the gameplay of the original.

Dragon Age 3...

It should play more like Dragon's Age Origin in term of tactics, but more fast paced like Dragon Age 2 and Amalur in having more action when you play real time. It also should be more opened like Skyrim, but story focused as ever. Camera control like DA O. Hopefully it would have the production values of Mass Effect.

There should be many romance options and none of the gifts nonsense, unless it's done right.

More varied enemies. No more darkspawn, or maybe just some that are left wandering. No enemies waves or enemies coming out of nowhere! Real villains with personality, especially the last boss!

More over-the-top locations and characters and less gritty.

Colourful like DA2, but detailed like DAO and Mass Effect.

I still think that Bioware have what it takes.

I think Bioware absolutely has what it takes to shoehorn a bunch of extraneous, badly written "romances" into their next game, too.

Eh.... That supposed "Dragon Age 3" trailer is from The Witcher 2...
Well if you'd been involved in producing Dragon Age II wouldn't you want to pretend you'd made The Witcher 2?

I sure as fuck would. I'd even start speaking with a vaguely eastern european accent to try and help it along.

You put youtube=everythingaftertheequalssign in brackets. If you quote this post, the embedded video is an example.

Honestly, Kate Mulgrew is the only thing I like about DA2, because she can make terrible dialogue sound awesome.

Doesn't really matter what I want in DA3 or what actually goes into it because EA are going to make Origin a requirement so I'm not touching it.

Plus... fucking multiplayer? Almost certainly going to be tied into the single player game like it was in Mass Effect 3, so fuck that noise.

And what about assholes like me who told the Architect to piss off because I kill Darkspawn on sight and, as such, was more than happy to end the Architect's miserable existence? :p

As for Morrigan and the baby, I'd suggest you play the Witch Hunt (think that's what it's called) DLC for DA:O . I only played through it once but from what I remember it kinda wraps up that loose end. Annnnnnd what if you never agreed to her little ritual in the first place? No god baby for you!

No, I'm pretty certain that the main focus of the story is going to be the Templar vs Mage civil war. There can be Darkspawn running around, Flemmeth will likely be up to something, but I'm guessing it's going to be mostly fighting an army of pissed off, completely psychotic Blood Mages like in DA 2 and/or an army of pissed-off, over-zealous Templars like in DA 2.
