I was stupid enough to put a metal spoon in a microwave when I was about six and didn't understand that metal gets hot so now I have a permanent burn on my thumb for trying to grab the spoon.
Another would be that when I was about three and a half feet tall, I had to go to the bathroom bad enough to run and hit my eye square with the door knob and got a black eye.

Well I have two, the first one was when I was a little kid I was running around like a maniac and hit the sharp top right corner of the TV (some TV's had sharp points back then). As a result I had to get my left temple stitched up with these staples (still have a scar from it).

The second one was when I was sleeping in the top bunk bed and I rolled over and fell hard onto the ground (I was so comfortable too...).

What is the dumbest way you have hurt yourself? In real life, not video games. Yesterday I put an industrial staple in my hand while in my workshop. The damn staple gun in backwards from ever other one on earth, and now part of my hand is numb and another part feels like it is on fire. So, what have all of you done to yourselves?
U might want to go to the doctor, because it sounds like you might have hit a nerve... I know, because the stupidest way i have hurt myself is slipping on a hill in the rain while trimming brush with a machete, severed the tendon, both nerves, and an artery, and the damn thing was numb as all hell.

Alright. So I went to a martial arts school until recently and there we had a target for throwing weapons (knives and stars and such) so I thought it would be a good idea to throw an S-shaped hand combat weapon with two blades(on on either curve with the grip in the middle) from the grip. Well needless to say the back blade came up and cut my palm. T~T I didn't even stick the target! my dad and I wrapped it up and later I ended up having to get 5 stitches in it. and let me tell you a right handed person with stitches in her right palm is experiencing hell.

when i was 10 or so i dropped a 4KG piece of wood (with jagged bark)on my foot to see if it would hurt just like in the comics. and yes i jumped around holding my foot also like in the comics.

When I was about 7, I saw my brother fixing his bike on the lawn. I didn't really know what he was doing, so I got mine out as well, put my fingers in the chain, and span the pedals. Sliced off the top of my little and ring fingers on my left hand.

I think it took, like, 4 hours of surgery to put them back on. Thank CHRIST for the NHS.

Two winters ago, I decided to bike home once despite there being 6 inches of snow with more coming down. I live in Boston and there are train tracks for the T everywhere...wherever they cross the street, they use this weird rubber plastic stuff that gets super slippery when there's snow on it.
Yeah, didn't get two feet over on the bike when the whole thing flipped out from under me and I landed mostly on my thumb. Not sure how that's possible, but amazingly it didn't fully break. Minor fracture and rather sensitive for while.
I hurt myself in small dumb ways all the time, but that's one of the bigger ones.

Once I was riding on the backward facing seat of a four seater golf cart and decided to dismount before the vehicle stopped moving (it was on pavement). I lost my balance and went down on my knees. Really nasty cut that was all oozy for a few days. Oh and I had to drive shave the hair around the cut so I could make the bandages stick.

Touching the end of a paint peeler when I was very young.

Flash cooked my finger tip to a nice charred black.

You might have nerve damage there, bucko. o_O

OT: Not so much hurting myself, but someone else hurting me.

Playing softball once. I was batting.

The pitcher accidentally a ball at my crotch.

Needless to say, it hurt like hell. >_>

In elementary school I was playing with a Swiss army knife. I was stabbing a piece of wood that was sitting on top of my leg (How could that go wrong right?) and inevitably I missed and embedded the knife in my leg. I tried to cover it up (being really young) because I thought I could just fix it with a band-aid but I started screaming when I saw all the blood haha. So my parents took me to the clinic and I got a few stitches.

ball went over chain link fence. walked around chain link fence because the top didn't have the bar to keep the links from bending. got the basketball and decided to go over by pulling the links toward me and sliding down. it was like a human slingshot, elbow into concrete. broken elbow. dumb and much younger then though.
