You know, I never liked The Elder Scrolls styled dragons. I find they look like retarded penguins or something. I prefer my four legs plus two wings dragons over these weird things.

That's the only real complaint I have with TES, though.

I would be utterly blown away by those screenshots, but I just remembered we're dealing with bethesda here. Surely, all perceptions of beauty will be replaced with sheer horror the moment the first character animation plays. This followed by a mass exorcism, with my sword, and post traumatic nightmares for the weeks to come.

Bethesda studios are the worst animators on the planet, bar none.

So much snow.... I hope they have a bit of variety in the environments.

Then again, it is Nord-country. But still... I hope it's not all white.
Its Skyrim, its like saying there is too much snow in Arctic. And no I dont think it will be all snow. Solstheim was half snow, half taiga.
Yes, I'm aware of that. But do you want to look at nothing but white mountains for 300+ hours?

The graphics remind me of the Age of Conan's when I used to play it.. All the warrior viking-ness gives me high hopes that the melee combat isn't utter crap like in oblivion..

Im confussed, if the game has dragons it makes it a Divinity copy. Doesn't that mean that WoW is a Divinity copy because some of the bosses are Dragons? That doesn't make anysense. Oh and the game looks nice, can't wait to give it a try.

You maybe wondering why I didn't just take the small pyramid of reply's? Because I don't want to make it bigger.

Fuck, I was saving up for a violin but that's going to take a backseat....unless of course there are no pre-order goodies.

Very pretty. Hopefully the game world will be a bit smaller with a bit more depth. Half of cyrodil was just pointless. If they cut down the game world they can make the other areas more interesting. AND GET RID OF FAST TRAVEL!
A hardcore mode would be very cool.
Also with this lore debate, most of the story for tameriel was set in concrete by TESII
So no, Bethesda arent just copying another game. Safe to say Skyrim has been a work in progress since Oblivion. No way would Bethesda stop work on their main franchise.

Did I see a dragon there? Hopefully we can tame them and use them as mounts!
Reading the articles a little, it seems the dragons will be the antagonists in some form or another. That should make for some interesting conflict, seeing as the Empire (if it still stands) reveres dragons.

Let's just hope they do away with the level based encounter system of Oblivion =/
The Empire doesn't revere dragons, they revere Akatosh, a god that takes the shape of a dragon whenever he shows up on Nirn (almost never).

They also have a bunch of other gods that are not shown as dragons, as that is Akatosh's* thing.

* How am I supposed to write that? "Akatoshes" doesn't sound right.
Wait... *Thinks for a moment*.. that's right! Still, I vaguely remember something about dragons somewhere, unrelated to Akatosh, though I have NO idea what that might be.

Perhaps it's spelled "Akatosh'*?
