KOTOR 2.

The last few hours of gameplay were clearly rushed, filled with unexplained plotholes and generally a mis-matched jumble of half-implemented ideas.

Really, upon examining the data within the game but that is not used (such as conversations never shown to player), things make much more sense and are explained in far greater detail. Too bad these were cut form the actual release.

One of the cut scenes includes a discussion between the three droids: G0-T0, the lovable (yet cunning and deceptive) astromech and HK-47 after the crash on the final planet. So much is explained, so much more sense is blown into the situation, yet due to rushed nature of the game ending, we never got to see that.
The last few hours? that entire game was rushed, from the last few hours to your first run on Telos right through to the frikkin' characters. Cannonically, the Exile is female. How many players are gonna play as a female when the male exile gets handmaiden? That crazy bint who can do more damage with her bare hands than you can with a lightsabre, who has a fully beefed batch of dialogue and makes a fine team leader when you raid Freedon Nadd's tomb. What do female Exiles get, aka what do the SW lords of continuity think you got? Disciple, some guy who acted like a lab station for anyone who cared that much about nades/drugs and could become a jedi... Oh wait, half the damn crew could become a jedi, so he's really just a mobile lab.

OT: FO3 is pretty bad, especially seeing as, for all the praise Broken Steel got for fixing it, they shouldn't have needed BS. They admitted that they didn't finish the game, and then, to make up for their rushing, they charged you for the finished game.
On a similar note, the main plot line to Oblivion. I don't give a damn about your dragon blood, I'M THE BIG DAMN HERO, so I'LL KILL THE BIG DAMN BADDY! Oh, wait, you're turing into a... Oh you've got to be joking. Not helped by my toal inability to find the statue they supposedely threw up in my honour.

The old Fallout 3 ending's worst aspect wasn't that you couldn't see it coming, or that it required a sacrifice. It was how artificial and forced the Big Decision was. One of the developers admitted they thought up the ending before they considered the prospect of henchmen, several of which are A. immune to radiation, B. bound to your will, or C. both.

Artistic and poetic endings are great, but when you have to pound their square form through the round hole of reasonable alternatives, many players will experience what is commonly known as a "Wall Banger."
This...

And... CRISPY FUCK ON A BURNING STICK OF FLAMING KITTENS!!! I will not be getting Neverwinter Nights 2. @_@

Halo 3's ending. I just...was expecting a little more. Not making the bonus sequence at the end only viewable to those who beat the game on the Legendary difficulty would have sufficed for me though.

The statue is in Bruma, near one of the gates.

Far Cry 2.

You survive almost every kind of Hell Africa can give you, only to either blow yourself up, or shoot yourself in the head at the end. Why would you trust the same son of a ***** you're sent to kill?
Pointless and idiotic.

Also the endings of GTA IV.

You lose Kate no matter what you choose.

I hate every ridiculously happy, perfectly wrapped up in a nice little package ending. Give me something bittersweet, like dedicating your victory to those who didn't make it. Something just bugs me about 'Happily Ever Afters'.

Final Fantasy X-2 was the worst possible ending for Final Fantasy X. It ended strong then... went on for a whole new game (apparently because fan boys cried alot loudly and contantly enough for SE to decide to release a sequel).
Agreed. Very agreed. What a terrible game. FFX ended pretty nicely, why the shit was X-2 Needed?

Fallout 3 vanilla, nothing Bethesda about it. Maybe it was a fallout styled ending but, meh...
Need to load a save from like last year to get past it

Halo 2 is the most obvious one.

I felt like I had been robbed.
Yea well it was Bungies fault, they had to drop levels after the 'ending' to make sure that we got the game on time since they had set the bar too high.

Arkham Asylum in my opinion. The ending was so predictable and played so incredibly safe, that it almost destroyed the immersion and fantastic delepemont of the story and characters in the game, before the final chapter. What I'm basically trying to say is all that effort they put into fleshing out the batman universe and it's characters feels rather pointless at the end. There's just no room for the ending to be a little bit ambigous. It makes the game feel more like just another episode of Batman, than really an epic Batman movie.

I really, REALLY dont see why are people mad about the ending of fallout 3.

So you died. You are a hero. Be happy about it. The game ENDED. Thats it. You wanna dick around more? Shure, just use a previous save or a new character. Whats the big deal?
The issue is the gaping pothole that makes it happen.

Faux is immune to radiation so could have went in to sort everything out, the forced death was pointless and made no sense.

Fable 2. Fun game, great setup for something truly epic. You feel like you're going to be partaking in a fight that will rock your socks off.

Suddenly, 'Press A to win'.

No.

You don't die at the end of CoD4 and the guy (Soap I believe) you played is your squad leader type thing in MW2.

Or so i'm lead to believe...
