Why the fuck are people still bitching about the Expendables review?
Cant wait to see both movies.
In case you haven't notice, most people are bitching about it still. Its bob who brought it back up and people are telling him why they were piss off in the first place. They didn't care if the movie was bad (I like it personally). But the way he just kept bitching about how everyone who say it was the "worst kind of person ever" that has everyone piss off.

Ok, people, it's not that hard: a good *B movie* has tits and blood, a general good *movie* has other things. Simplifying other's opinion in order to disagree with them makes you look dumb.

You did the same thing with The Expendables. He describes the "probably worst kind of person" (basically those that don't like action flicks' key improvements from the last decade) and adds that those people "will probably like this [The Expendables]". You might not want to realize it, but that's different from outright saying "People who like The Expendables are the worst kind of person". Get your facts right.

Now, about the sheep part, if you paid for The Expendables out of hype (you shouldn't have), then yeah, group mentality. He's right. If you waited for comments and reviews, made up your own mind in an informed fashion, and then went to see it, good for you. After that, liking it is just a matter of taste. Supporting the hype machine that sells you crap you don't want because you're too lazy to think for yourself is being a sheep. If you're insulted by this, you deserve it, but probably you're not smart enought to understand, so you'll keep whining. Luckily smart people won't care about your whining. Bob didn't.

Both parties are at fault and both parties take the blame. There is no argument against it.
Both parties? Is it peoples fault for asking why he insulted them because his precious SP? If he thought the movie was bad then I wouldent have judged him, in fact I will admit it is bad, but he should have gave reasons for why it was bad instead of just tossing out insults, swearing and crying over SP. If bob let it go himself he wouldent have mentioned it again in this review.
I've noticed this comment several times, and it baffles me. Did you guys miss the last half of the Expendables review where he explained all of the reasons why he thought The Expendables was a bad movie? Bad action sequences, bad story, lack of memorable kills, lack of blood? Also, he only spent about a minute "crying" over Scott Pilgrim.

Because believe it or not being described as "probably just the worst sort of person" offends some people. And then when he opens this weeks review by strawmanning the criticism of his last one, that just offends people even more.
He wasn't calling people who enjoyed or even went to see The Expendables "the worst sort of person". He was referring to dudes who are nothing but machismo and believe that 80's action movies were the pinnacle of film making. If you liked Kill Bill, or Hero, or any movie that involved kung-fu, a female protagonist, or well-choreographed fight scenes, then.. he wasn't directing that insult at you.

He insulted, people threw a hissy.

Both at fault.

He brought it up again, people continue their hissy.

Both at fault.

You may disagree, I really don't care. But, from my view, which I tend to think is one from the outside as I was not at all insulted by the previous review, I am correct.

The fact that you called it "that one awesome scene" even in quotes proves my point.
Um no. I just put that since people like you seem to think those scenes are probably the best ones out of the entire movie. Its not, its just plain retarded to have those kind of scenes when they severe no purpose. I want to see a movie for its story/action. Not to see two chicks making out. If I really want to see that I would just go watch porn or something.

It "baffles" me how his fans can defend someone who was arogent enough to say "WOW JUST WHEN YOU THINK THE HUMAN RACE WAS WORH SOMETHING" Accept that he acted like a offensive prick, and OFFENDED alot of people, and lost alot of his fanbase by doing so.

Why is this called "Escape to the Movies: Centurion" when only just under a half of it actually talked about Centurion. The other half was talking about The Expendables, again, Piranha. At least call it "Escape to the Movies: Piranha/Centurion".

So if Iam insulted someone over the internet and react Iam throwing a hissy? He acted imature in sterotyping and insulting a large group of people, and got negative feedback for it, people have the right to respond to someone insulting them.

Piranha 3D was also a Bad B Movie. The 3D wasn't even that great and the tits (albeit very nice) did NOT save ANYTHING about that movie. And neither did Ving Rhames and his outboard motor slaughter of stupid fish.

Also, I know I don't have to but I'm going to reiterate something here:

People didn't like how you attacked THEM for liking Expendables. Its perfectly fine you didn't like the movie, fine, we get it! But you spent most of your review insulting US for liking it. THAT'S why all the hate.

But that's not how it came across in the review. Now Kill Bill is one of my all time favorite films and I loved Hero as well. Yet I still felt somewhat offended by his statements and hell I'm not even a fan of 80's action.

Now if he'd started this review of with a clarification or an apology all would have been forgiven, but he didn't. He opened with a lame strawman. So people are going to keep on complaining.
