The funny thing about Brazil is the gangsters really rules the country.
You really don't know what the hell you are talking about. The violence was way bigger only in Rio de Janeiro and guess what? It is getting smaller and saffer.
No it's not a dream world, not really close to this, but Brazil is much more than its favelas. Damn, my country is bigger than you and most of the people around here know and think it is. Put that prejudice aside and before you say something sad like that, give some research boy.
Dude... I kind of thinking about PT and PSDB when wrote the post. But, if you say chefe...

Due to demand I'm going to Bring It On*

Actually the only real reason to as I watch Movie Bob is to be informed of Movies I Shouldn't Pay For. Had Movie Bob informed us earlier that "The Expendables" sucked I wouldn't have paid for it. I still would have skipped Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World too. Because I don't care for the PG13 version of No More Heroes.

Only Jason Statham movies I like are The Crank Movies. (And Death Race but that was due to some jokes that didn't really involve Jason Statham.)

If it weren't for The Rock Vs John Cena at the next WrestleMania I would've considered Fast 5 out of curiosity. Well before Movie Bob said it sucked. Once The Rock loses to John Cena I'll never pay for a Dwayne Johnson Movie ever again. Vin Diesel has never impressed me in any movie he's been in so Meh. The Fast Series is better off replaced by Midnight Club 3 or any Midnight Club Video Game.

Sometimes though Movie Bob recommends a movie and I go see it. Kick-Ass is an amazing example as I would have skipped it after already sitting through the crappy parody that was Super Hero Movie. A Bad Example would be Splice as it is Anti-Science and is a Rape Movie. Rape Movies being something I had seen too much of in my teens thanks to growing up with some people who wouldn't stop watching Rape Movies on The Lifetime Movie Network.

*Not Really.

When I heard about Fast 5 the first thing I asked was, "Fast Five? When did two through four come out? And furthermore, why did they even exist?"

The difference between Vin Diesel and Jason Statham is that Jason makes good action movies.

And yes, I am a Vin Diesel hater. I will freely admit that. Get the "haters goin' hate" out of your systems. Thanks.

Even if movie bob gave this movie a good review, I would still not see it. Yes, hater's goin hate. Thank you that is all.

This series is objectively pretty bad. But, I've seen a few of them, and honestly enjoyed them. Then again, I'm into cars, and can overlook quite a lot of bad acting, cliched story, and stereotypical characters if there's sufficient car porn.
This is the reason to watch these movies, the car porn. Although fast 2 kind of sucked in that bit, as all the cars were made for the movie and not real street racers.

Not that I care about this movie much, but I kind of take offense to the Vin vs. Rock fight shpeal. I genuinely thought it'd be kind of cool to watch them fight. Why do have to be so antagonistic all the time, you were calling out your audience with that one not the film.

Whatever.

I disagreed with most of the points, but all in all, it's really no big deal.

I do think signing off with a flame shield is a bit tacky, and assumes a dismissive stance against anyone who would disagree or criticize.

Cars 2 is gonna do worst than this. At least Fast Five is turn off your brain and watch cars and explosions. Cars was horrible. Worst Pixar movie by far.

I was going to comment on how Cars 2 will probably still be good because it's Pixar, but since everyone else already did, I'll comment on my confusion of what makes a movie "a car movie". I mean, Transformers had cars, but it didn't really focus on them being cars. Is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull a car movie because it had some chase scenes?

Just like Keanu Reeves needs his parts tailored to him, i think thats how it is for Vin Diesel as well. Vin Diesel made Pitch Black, Escape from Butchers Bay and Knockaround Guys good i think.

I want to see this for two reasons:
1) The Rock vs Vin Diesel. I know that's lame, but for some reason it just makes me excited. Not so much for the rock, but for Vin (I really like Pitch Black, Boiler Room, Find Me Guilty, and Fast and the Furious).
2) We finally get to see how F&tF3 Tokyo Drift finally is connected to the series.

I guess this comes down to how you interpret what Bob said. I understood it to mean:"This movie is made for a demographic that just doesn't exist anymore. Anybody who once cared about the Rock and Vin Diesel enough to want to see them fight probably grew out of it." Taken that way, it would be calling out the movie rather than the audience.

But ultimately it's just his opinion, so I suggest you don't take it too seriously if that fight is something you want to see.

Oddly enough its getting good reviews as a guilty pleasure movie, well either way its not my thing or yours. I really enjoyed the over long list of preferable car movies. I always like it when you recommend old stuff. Plus I always like hearing that someone else enjoyed Speed Racer. (keyword is 'enjoyed')

I sometimes like to try to predict your feedback, and usually someone's always pissed when you say you don't like something because your very opinionated when its comes to stuff that isn't your thing, but certainly I get it with something like Transformers which is just taking a dump on something that you used to lijke, yet its odd how most of anything negative so far is just about your pessimism of cars 2, so far. Huh. But yeah, I'm scared of cars 2 too, but even when the first one came out, i liked it because it was still more stimulating than mostly anything else that summer like the da vinci code. Come to think of it, this just seems to be the year of pretty looking tired premise animated movies, and not even pixar can save us from that this year because the plot is the dreaded 'misunderstanding'. Sigh.

I thought Transformers 3 wouldn't find an audience when 2 was so bad, and that Megan fox was gone so the romance would finally be gone, but no she was just replaced and the trailer makes it look like a apocalypse movie, so yeah, more undeserved payoff for Micheal bay.

Oh well, I still enjoy your stuff, even when you occasionally piss me off. Keep doing your thing bob, and good look at the webby's.
