I'm in love now, babes.

EDIT: And we're not married, but been together for 3 and a half years, if anyone cares :p
I care, because it's always nice when someone tells you so

Since it's the topic, I also seem in love, but judging by some comments here, it's only a blend of fondness, insecurity and sex drive
Thanks. I'd hug you but I'm not close enough :(

So, I decided that was it. I returned the engagement ring to the shop, took a copy of both the receipt I had gotten when I bought the ring and when I returned it and mailed to copies to my now-ex-girlfriend. I had underlined the dates and the words 'engagement ring x1'.
Sounds like something my fiance would have done had we ended up in the same situation or worse. Good on ya though, sounds like you've pulled through a devastation that many wouldn't pull through that well on.

Oh god, yes. That sucked and still sucks. It's hard when you can't control your emotions, it's hard when you start hating that girl, but you still love her and there's nothing you can do about it. It has been around 3 years, but i still love her and hate her.

I'd say yes, but I can imagine you all saying OMG NO YOUR ROO YOUNG!!onee!!11!
That annoys me...
I was with my ex for two years and fell out of love. I don't even think I was in love with him. The thought of him now makes my skin crawl.
Anyway, my relationship is still in the beginning stages, but I have that feeling, y'know?

got drunk at after school, a friend told me one of his female friends (a friend of his girlfriend) had asked them to invite ME (she just asked for whoever she could remember the name of, but thats not what he told me) over for some beers and movies.
I was like helz yeah, kept drinking, got home puked all over the floor due to too much alchohol, wiped it up, called and said i couldn't make it.
Slept for an hour, felt fresh again, brushed my teeth like 7 times, went there anyways, laid my arm around her durring "the hills have eyes 2" (crappy movie btw), started kissing her when the others went to get more beer, followed her home.
Saw her at a house party a week later, eneded up in teh guest bedroom with her, went as far with her as we could without condoms, then she visited me a few days later, we slept fucked, she said it wsa kinda weird cause she didn't really know me very well, she said she didn't even know if i had a girlfriend, and i said "i'm kinda hoping i have" and we started dating.
Then we broke up after a month, met again at anther house party 3 months later, started sleeping togeather again, got back togeather again and now we've been togeather for a little over 2½ years...

That pretty much sums it up

Nope, never been in love.

Never had a crush either.
I'm starting to wonder if watching all of those romance movies, reading romance books & mangas is just me unconsciously searching for what I don't have: "Love"

Okay, that was a bit over dramatic...

I'm happy for you, congrats.

As for that girl of mine... well, she was my first. I've accepted that there will always be a slight twinge in my gut if my thoughts wander to her, but I can honestly say that I'm over her. I was a total wreck for that month after, but the saying 'what does not kill only makes you stronger' does hold true. Been almost 2 years since she dumped me in fact, and there is this girl at the boardgame club at my uni who tends to look at me quite often. :)

But you know...

life is great, isn't it?

Hope your wedding, whenever it might be, is a grand success.

Yes I am, we're still together, we met through a friend at my school (after school), even if we wanted to I doubt we'd get married.

I have been in love for 4 or 5 years now. Its still strong. Although it only flairs when i talk to her on the phone. Unfortunately she's about 240 miles away, and on the other side of a mountain. So we haven't seen each other in at least 2 years.

Its sad panda, but i doubt we'll ever let it go.
Wow..what's the source of such devotion?
I can't see myself doing that.
You'll know. its like a pair of extra complicated puzzle pieces fitting together.

To all those people who have said GET OVER IT... I say this.
getting over it and moving on are two totally different things.

No, i'm not over her. but i have moved on. I'm in a great relationship with someone that i'm very very happy with. I have a good life, and i'm happy with it. I'm devoted to the person i'm with.

So you see there is a difference.

But I'm asexual now, so I'm ok!
You reproduce without another organism? Cool trick.
Nu-uh!
It means I don't get attracted to anything/anyone.
At least now-a-days...
It was a joke. Asexual also means:

1. Having no evident gender or sex organs; sexless.
2. Relating to, produced by, or involving reproduction that occurs without the union of male and female gametes, as in binary fission or budding.

Saying that you're celibate would be a much clearer way of getting your message across.
