I'm in love with myself because I'm a wonderful, wonderful person with many good qualities and a sexy face.

Probably.

I still am. She thinks of me as a friend and is going out with another guy who is a friend of mine. But im happy so long as shes happy.
No you're not.
now, don't you go bursting that particular bubble! Much like him I'm currently beating my mind into submission to convince myself of pretty much the exact same thing. So, let's leave bubbles, Santaclause, God and Unicorns alone for now.

Sure. Even went on a date with her. But it ended badly. Though the bright side is that of all the bad endings there could have been, this one was relatively good.

This quote FTW.

Yeah, was in love at one time. Got the "Just Friends" speech but kept loving her for a while longer. Things changed, We both changed and fell out of touch. I still see her from time to time and get twinges of it. In many ways I still love her, but I'm not in love with her. It's a weird situation but hey, I got over it and so will you.

Yeah I'm in love right now I'd say. The term is thrown around so much these days that there's not much meaning in the words "I Love You" really, but I do believe I've got the real thing. There's no age limit on love, I think as long as you can grasp the concept that you want someone now and tomorrow and for the rest of your life and you can feel absolutely no regret or hesitation when you think about that, then I reckon you're probably in love.

I don't see how anyone here who has said "they got over it" have been in love, I'd be driven to suicide if Amber left me.

Twice, and I still love both of those ladies very much.

Neither relationship really flourished, but I'm still great friends with both of them, partly because all three of us live in the same house. As it turned out, those ladies were really lesbians who were just bicurious, and chose me as their guinea-pig. I didn't really mind cause let's face it: where else am I going to find two extremely cute lesbian girls, both of which massive anime-geeks, really nice, willing to live in the same house as me, and both of them higly flirtatious? Man, I love those women.
you are one lucky bastard :D

1. thinks im weird or ugly.
2. doesnt give a shit.
3. is a friend of mine (only 1 in this category, and shes actually pretty cute).

Nope, I have never been in love. That's not to say that I don't believe in love, I plenty do, but I have never experienced love and I don't think I ever will. I'm quite cynical when it comes to romance topics.

But I'm still 21 so who knows what the future will bring...

You should consider emotionally moving on.

I've been "in love" but then I don't believe in the term in the traditional sense, so I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing.
OP listen to this man. He speaks the truth (most times)

I have felt a strong emotional connection i took for granted, Then when it was severed i suffered what felt like extreme loss.

So I think that qualifies.

I have been in love for 4 or 5 years now. Its still strong. Although it only flairs when i talk to her on the phone. Unfortunately she's about 240 miles away, and on the other side of a mountain. So we haven't seen each other in at least 2 years.

Its sad panda, but i doubt we'll ever let it go.
240 miles is not far at all. Unless it is winter and all the passes are closed.

Hop in a car and get driving.

As far as in love goes. I was in love once, have had some fairly successful relationships since, but none where I truly felt the way I felt about that girl. She was part of the reason I left the country for a while.
