Painkiller
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Prototype
The World Ends with You

Batman and Prototype i thought were overrated and with the exception of JRPG's i always agreed with his opinion. TWEWY and Painkiller i had no idea about and bought them after watching his review.

Prototype, simply because of the weird womens dress thing with a unicorn he got both devs to do, even though they didn't win, the giant creepy feather-hoe looked funnier to me, so I went for prototype, oh and emo-peter pan 'think whiney thoughts' sealed the deal xD

Yes:
No More Heros
Saints Row 2
and (someday I will get)Sands of Time

Interesting sidenote: Movie Bob has sent me to a couple of movies that I had deemed 'crap' from the trailers. One of them was Sherlock Holmes, but I have forgotten the others. However, I am glad I went to all of them.

I only breifly heard of the silent hill series. I than played SH2 because of Yahtzee's Review...than got SH1 on the PSN...than I got SH3 and SH:O...than I got SH:H...than I spent a half a year searching like crazy for SH4:TR, only getting it two days ago...I have a problem now, I'm out of Silent Hills

Oh and SH:SM was so awesome I've beaten it 10 times, three of those were in one day

I'm planning on buying Painkiller because of his review. Still haven't, but it's the plan. I just need money.

It never has affected my judgement, neither has anyone elses judgement affected mine. I bought a game cause i wanted to buy it, no matter what the mass says, because i know im different then the mass. (no seriously, i bought Avatar, and liked it. I dont watch anime, and i enjoy sandbox games over the general shooter, even though i'm epic at FPSs.)

And anyway, no matter how loyal you are to a game company/game, you can generally agree with what Yahtzee says.

If he has positive things to say about something, or recommends it. I try to get it.
Because if a game is fun, he will tell you.

No review tells me what to buy. It merely tells me what's worth further investigation.

Anyone who only buys games based on reviews/scores are missing out on a ton of great under-the-radar material and are doing themselves a great disservice as a gamer.

Yahtzee no, though he did happen to respark my interest in the Orange Box. I've only ever bought one game due to a review, and that was Just Cause ala Morgan from LRR, needless to say, I was slightly amazed.

The guy's paid to rip the shit out of a game in a comedic fashion. I rarely take his reviews to heart because he says' that so many games today are bland, FPS games with locales filled with the colours grey and brown. I'll choose my own games, thank you very much.

He's a comedian, he doesn't actually have any real review in his reviews, so I tend to discount his opinion.

i have not done it yet with yahtzee's reviews ( i find them more amusing than an actual opinion of what games i should get) but i know i have seen unskippable and seeing how they make fun of it i had the thought of buying borderlands. and the whole time i was watching the first cutscene i heard Graham and Paul in the back of my head making their silly jokes.

Ya know i really havent let yahtzee's opinion influence me that much when purchasing games. He is funny and his opinion is somewhat valuable but not as much as the opinion of my friends and fellow gamers.
