I'd have preferred to play in the Old Kingdom but whatever.

You know what would be cool and totally not happen? The heroes from the first two games showing up to help you somewhere along the line, it can determine who they are and what they did based on the way you play Fable 3, ex: Bad King = Someone who took wealth and someone who took the sword.

ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN!

I loved Fable 1, hated Fable 2, probably won't bother with 3.

Maybe it's cause i grew more cynical and jaded as i got older but 2 just seemed to have no good points for me. The combat was spammy, repetitive and just far from fun. The dog was fucking annoying as well... and the way it looked only a slight bit better than 1 was shocking.

Well, so long as it improves Fable 2, I'll be happy. I found Fable 2 to be fun, so even a slight improvement would be good.
But would you pay full price for a slight improvement?

Anyway, I'm pretty excited, a proper free roaming world would be nice, I really hated the loading screens.
Hmm, true. Okay maybe a large improvement. Consisting of:
A larger, more open world
More spells
Revamped combat system (I.E. Fable 1 magic, dodging and enemies standing a chance)
More customization
A better economy system
Monsters dropping money, or you get more from questing (Please lord)
A deeper, more immersive moral choice thing.
Different looking weapons, and more weapon types

And I think that just about covers it.
So basically you want it to be WoW?

Just no.

Still won't be as good as Oblivion in terms of fantasy.. I think this time i'll get a friend to buy it and i'll see if its any good, rather than buy it and go

"Sigh...."

If only my friend.

If only.

That would rock, as my characters in Fable: LC and Fable II were as good as gold.

And I really have a hard time to link the countdown campaign of "revolutionaries" to this game.
Think about it, in this game you start off as a nobody and overthrow the king, becoming the new king. The rest of the game seems to be based off the choices you make and whether you live up to the reputation of the new amazing king that will give albion a golden age.

The revolutionary theme is because, basically, your character will be a revolutionary. It seems to be a pretty obvious link to me...

On topic - Sounds promising, hopefully it will have more of fable 2's "give me 5000 gold and i'll set up a new town" type mechanics. I.e. there's a big forest somewhere, you can cut it down or not. If you don't you keep the forest and get a little village somewhere, if you do you get a massive industrial city but the forest becoems wasteland etc. Would be really interesting to see all the consequences of your reign.

I hope we get the mana bar back though, even if it's just for healing/shielding spells or something.

God, no. I mean, you're actually interacting, like you press the dodge, you dodge. None of this one button press combat and monotonous grinding, thank you very much.

If molynieux is to believed this game will loosly be tropico with updated graphics. However if experience is to be believed it will be fable 2 slightly updated with a 3 on it. I've known about this for a while, it was in the news that stephen fry let slip on his twitter he was doing the voice acting for it .
Stephen Fry played Reaver in the second one are you mistaking him for Jonathan Ross? ( http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/ross-pops-fable-3s-announce-cherry )

If they're both doing voices in the game then I may look into this one and write fable 2 off as a slight hiccup.

Please god Molyneux get rid of the dog if you're going to have a pet companion have something interesting like a Parrot, Red Panda or a bloody Manbearpig.
Yeah sorry I did mean jonathan ross, I couldn't remember who it was and then I went with stephen fry for some reason.

Without a PC Port I won't even be looking at this game.

I'm still pissed they haven't released Fable 2 for PC yet.

Well I love Fable and I guess it gives me reason to finally finish off Fable 2, so not bad indeed. Looking forward to it.

Always better to have unfufillled promises of divinity than fufilled promises of mediocrity, I say...as long as I don't read any review, it should be possible to let the hype color my experience a sparkling golden color.
