Title says alll!!!!

So i've recently picked up on Fable II again, I've just downloaded the Knothole Island DLC, and i'm bathing in the world all over again.

But i'm having mixed thoughts about the game. I'm not sure if its fun or not...

So i'm wondering what the Escapist Community thinks about it.

(I am sorry if this has been made before, I've searched and found nothing.)

I thought it failed badly on the "you can be good or evil" thing. Playing as good the game would screw you over and over and over, and playing as evil would give you the world but you still ended up doing good things to beat the game. Things like eating meat would give you evil points and vegetables would give good points was just blah

Character customization was handled too poorly in that increasing stats that you wanted would alter the look of you character in a way you didn't want. For example a strong female ends up looking really fat. Like an obese body builder

It is a really fun game, but considering the fact that it supposed to be an 'RPG' it is waaay to short.

Poor overall, my gripes (some) are as followed...

- Poor customization
- Terrible implication of good/evil
- Ridiculously easy
- Gold was utterly pointless
- Having children or marrying was equally pointless
- Extremely limited set of magic skills
- Lack of and poor balancing of weapons
- Dog became more of an irritation than a help
- Poorly written and developed story
- Awful ending
- Far too short

That about sums it up, the game is fun in a general sense and I would play it again, however it woefully disappoints given the hype it was given.

It wasn't lived up to the hype, as usual with Molyneaux. However, I am a big fan of the series, and I hope they vastly improve on Fable III.

I liked it while I was playing it, but yeah too short.

My favourite part was the battle with you and the other three heroes against the hordes, it was a shame everything went down from there.

I really enjoyed Fable II, sure it was short and too easy, but I became heavily invested in he world and literally just ran around for hours doing next to nothing. The art design was refreshing and the storyline interesting despite the poor ending.

I felt a tad cheated by the game as an RPG - it's closer to Spyro than Elder Scrolls in terms of breadth of gameplay. But as a brief, simple, colourful action adventure it's second to none.

In Fable II?

They ARE orphans living on the streets, they arn't meant to be healthy as such My guess is that you don't know what steroids actually do to the body either - steroids don't increase muscle mass, they merely allow the user to train longer - those who use steroids tend to use them to train therefore the myth "steroids give you muscles" originated.

It is Bound to. Once Lionhead has finished all the DLC for the 360 version, They will work on the Pc version, Which may have the DLC included or It will be available as a Free download. Wait and see.

To be honest I really don't think thats going to happen...they are already working on new projects with just a small team focusing on Fable DLC.

I quite liked it. Although I suppose I'm a bit of a Fable fan-boy so my opinion is of course going to be of good things. But I thought it was pretty good. Although the Dog got REALLY annoying, barking at all the treasure every five seconds.
