Seen some clips, mainly from E3'08, and it was awesome. Although, Fallout 3 doesn't have split-screen, and that's one reason Resident Evil 5 is something I'm looking more forward to.

But so many games...Dead Space, FarCry2, Fable 2 and not enough money to pay for those damn things.

On a sidenote, if anyone is willing to, PLEASE, PLE-PLE-PLE-PLEAAAASE send me your money.

Will be used to buy alc...videogames.

Well in perspective yeah but...

Really name me one series that gets better after the first 3 episodes/sequels?
Metal Gear Solid.
Sorry, but I think MGS 3 and 2 were better than MGS 4. Atleast for their time.

MGS 3 is still my favorite. Big Boss FTW!

...one of the guys on my floor has modded his 360 to be able to download games online, and one of the ones he's downloaded is Fallout 3. How he got his hands on it, I have no idea. But, though I despise his ways, I still can't help but walk in and watch for a few moments every couple of days. What I've seen is...amazing so far. Totally looking forward to getting my hands on a legit copy.

...what?
He's just saying he wants RE5 instead of Fallout 3 because RE5 has co-op.

I have played fallout 1..And guess what? Its absolutely fucking A.

Spoilers Ahoy!
The 150 day time limit gave me a sense of emergency. Like I had to do the shit right now or else vault dies. It was realistic given that in 150 days a vault of about 20 people would run out of water.

You have choice in the game with one weapon not being overly powerful. You can do HandtoHand and beat some of the hardest monsters in the game to death? And you know what? Its incrediably balenced. For example Small guns. Even in the end game you can get by by just using Red Ryder LE BB gun. Or a sniper rifle, Either one are just as balenced as energy weapons.

The perks? -Stamps A+ all over it.- They did not have to do something great. They put quite a few useful ones in and then they had quite a few character ones like Ranger. Not overly useful but its for characterzation if you so liked.

I might write more later.

As a huge fan of the Fallout Series (Own 1 and 2 on original CDs and played them to death...and back), I'm really looking forward to this game.

I get what ElArabDeMagnifico is saying (I had to scroll up twice to spell your name right) in that the way this game is presented is far removed from what fans are used to. Not only that, it seems like many game mechanics have changed (Possibly for the worse, but I haven't played it so I'll reserve judgment) in favor of making it more 'accessible' (Which seems to be more and more of an industry buzz word then anything else) to people not familiar with the franchise.

However, I like the direction the franchise is going. I actually really enjoyed the real-time combat of Fallout Tactics (Which, I know, isn't a true successor to the previous 2) and I'm happy to see the series in a first person perspective, since (For me at least) that perspective offers the best immersion.

I don't expect Fallout 3 to be a huge 'improvement' over Fallout 1 or 2, but that doesn't really bother me. I think Fallout 3 will be a fresh perspective into the world of Fallout. Bethesda seemingly has kept story telling as an important point of the game (Since it was a huge part of the series) and I'm willing to bet it'll be well received by newcomers and vault veterans alike.

No. They destoryed what the game was and are whoring people for money. Just no. I second an actual fallout sequel.

We hear all this talk about megatown and there are only two choices. Blow the bomb or not. Thats it. There is no middle ground like remove the bomb. Just either blow it or leave it. That seems like the highlight of their moral system and it sucks.

No. You can actually disarm the bomb and keep the city from ever blowing up. Besides, Fallout 1 had the same basic choices. Look at Shady Sands: Rescue the dude's daughter, Don't rescue the daughter, or ignore him completely.

I mean, let's be honest here: You've seen part of one moral choice and you're throwing a fit, saying how terrible and shallow it is. How about you, and I know this sounds crazy, play the game first before decrying it as a bastardization of a franchise you love so much?

Believe it or not, that's what is keeping me interested in Fallout 3. They've taken out so many things I love about the game, but they did do the whole "Tactics" thing and make both real time and turn based combat an option. I like how VATS will use "Pause for the combat, then run while your action points recharge." I'd like to see how it plays out.

The Bloody mess perk looks satisfying in the game, but maybe I loved punching out people's left half of their rip cage with a power fist - and see it in full bloody detail. I'm going to pick that each time because unsatisfying killing is the plague of violent games. See "Force Unleashed" and "Unmodded Oblivion".

Or rescue Tandi for money instead, or join the raiders to rescue her, talk with the raiders for a compromise, or kill ALL the raiders, or rescue her and keep her in your party along with Ian and others, etc.

Another thing I love about Fallout, is that if your intelligence and charisma is high, then your mouth is the best weapon/tool in the game. Perhaps convincing "Mister Burke" to kill himself or something would be cool.

Fallout 2 > Fallout 1 IMO. Number 2 sorted out a lot of issues, and was heaps longer than its predecessor. Lynette is a complete *****, though.

I mean i spent so much time on oblivion it was unreal and this just looks like its gonna surpass that.
Don't compare it to oblivion... It's hard not to because its bethesda obviously, but they said they were building it from scratch... While it may have some similarities, don't let oblivion determine your outlook on fallout.

But with that said. I am SO excited as well... It's already been leaked on the internet, but I think I'm gonna support everyone who created the game and spend the 60 on it...

I don't care how the game compares to the other Fallout games, I do care how the game compares to other games that have been released this year. They have been a handfull of good games this year but we haven't been spoiled. I just want to spend my £40 and play a game worth spending time on, they have been so many games out that promise so much but upon release fail to deliver the goods.
I like Bethesda and have a lot of faith in them as game developers, I have yet to be dissapointed. I'm sure some aspects of the game may dissapoint me but i'm as equally sure that pound for pound i'll get a lot more hours of enjoyment from this one game than any other released this year and i have spent a lot of time on GTA IV.
What Spore has taught us is that nothing ever lives up to its hype and if we put our expectations too high we can only be dissapointed. The only thing i expect is a decent game in exchange for my hard earned money for once.

A+ with a shiney golden star on top, bravo!
It's because I used the word Poppycock wasn't it?

Thank you for the kind words but I'm too modest. To me it looks like another crazy incoherent unstructured rant of mine.

Your point is very fair, and it's also why I look forward to Far Cry 2, LBP, and L4D more than Fallout 3 but...

Yeah. If they both had co-op, or neither of them had it, then they would be totally on the same level of awesomeness.

But RE5 is the only one who has it.

Is something wrong with liking RE5 more than Fallout 3 here? Just tell me.

EDIT: Just to point it out to you, I don't want Fallout 3 instead Resident Evil 5, they come out with a half year gap. Just, if they would come out on the same day, I would probably buy Resident Evil 5.

How can you say you like one game more than the other if you haven't played them yet?
Because I have played both Resident Evil 4 and Oblivion. Besides, the thread's name contains the words "I can't get enough". I can ask you also, why can't you get enough, if you haven't even played it?
