Fallout 4, what would you like to see?

Better combat, bullets kill people, quickly In Fallout 3 most enemies seem to absorb almost all the bullets I shoot them with. Make ammo much rarer but increase the damage guns do, this means that unarmed and Melee become viable choices and helps with the wasteland atmosphere.

It makes guns do way more damage, and getting crippled is a big deal because you can't heal by sleeping. Also, it makes ammo and Stimpacks more expensive. It just adds a ton of cool stuff.

A half-decent story, NPC's that actually act like human beings as opposed to robots, SPECIAL skills actually having some sort of an effect on your character (being fundementally retarded in Fallout 2 for having and intelligence of 1-2 was awesome) and a fucking balanced weapons system.

Did I also mention that I'd prefer it if the game took place before Fallout 2? Y'know, so the lack of Flora/Fauna would actually make some sense? Also, a tutorial that takes place during the Great War like in the Van Buren tech demo would be pretty cool.

I hated Dogmeat. He just kept getting killed every 3 min. I ended up just leaving him at my house for the whole game.

I never got to be with Dogmeat enough to hate him...hit him with a missile on accident and killed him.

hey they didn't fix fallout 3 properly so why worry about fallout 4 ? anyway no xp cap , drop karma , no useless junk , better character design ( they look like there talking to the wall ) , and after all the time has past i doubt it if doors would have locks especially ammo boxes and be able to climb or crawl over the piles of rubble

Not after Fallout's record sales. They'll be forking out Fallout 4 by the boatload sooner or latter. They made three DLC's for a reason you know.

I would have liked some of the characters to possibly develop some form of relation with me. Possibly fall madly in love or horribly mortifide or maybe even swearing vengence on me because of some horrible deed i have done. When i say madly in love though i don't mean Fable style of love because those people all expected me to marry them once i saved the world even though i was already married to my undead girlfriend.

I agree with all the improving the story and deepening the characters, I'd also like to see improvements on the fighting and gunplay. Something that I think would work quite well for a game with all the random crap lying around, would be a deep weapon creating system, for example you add in some tape and rope along with the glue and then you can add makeshift bayonets onto guns, glue 2 assault rifles together, whatever you can think of can be created.

On a very minor point, I hope they scale back on the amount of useless crap lying around. Perhaps my obsessive need to pick up all loot is to blame, but I've never seen a more cluttered landscape in any game. Everywhere I go, I can't seem to take five steps without coming across a lone milk bottle or a clipboard or two empty tin cans just lying there for no apparent reason. Monsters and NPCs should be cleaning up the wasteland too, I feel like I'm the apocalypse's garbage man...

Yeah, he is terrible like that I spent about 15% percent of the game looking after him and in the end I just let him get eaten by the Ants in an Ant infested city he'd decided to fight MILES away

I fired My gun in the Air as a sign of Respect and moved on.


Anyway....Fallout 4 better have a coherent plot this time and a lot more character. Bethesda still have not fully realised that their NCP's need more programming(Though they have improved since Oblivion)

More Epicness would be appropriate to shake the wasteland up.

Oh, I know! Give the license back to Interplay and Black Isle, and we can all live happily ever after, forgetting the dark chapter in the live of a great franchise, that was Fallout 3...

- Alcohol blurring your vision and impairing your controls (as seen in stalker)

- A Pump Action Shotgun. The Sawed off didn't have enough range or power, The combat was overly unreliable. It seemed like a gap was set for a run of the mill reliable pump.

- A compound Bow / Cross Bow. This would be a beautiful addition to the family of the railway rifle. Explosive/Poison/Flaming arrows would also be a nice touch.

-Unique Vats bullets. The smallest handgun shouldn't have the same bullet animation as the biggest rifle

- Mutated Sharks / Fish in the bigger water bodies. Seeing bony Dorsal fins pacing around rivet city would have been creepy. Especially if they had a plank they made people walk off for execution. Mirlurkes as the exclusive aquatic enemy was a bit redundant

- Reptilian enemies. Everything seemed to be Insect, Crustacean, or Mammalian. What about Mutated rattlesnakes or lizards. A Raptor-like deathclaw would have been Supremely Epic.

- Bigger Flying Enemies.

- I don't want to sound shallow or perverted but nudity would have been a nice edge. With all of the other gritty blood and guts and drug abuse going on in the game, when you pay a hooker to come to bed with you and all she does is roll over onto her side for x amount of hours it leaves an unwelcome Micky Mouse after taste.

- A motor bike or similar vehicle as stated

- A sward that DOES SOME FUCKING DAMAGE.
