I reckon they should do a Fallout: Hong Kong .... none of this invisible wall bullshit where you can't move on ... just have the bloody Island of Hong Kong ... and lots of irradiated sea water around.
And instead of spending most of your time walking on the ground, you should beable to aspire to beable to buy a place on the top floor of some still (barely) standing tower (not that ridiculous Tenpenny Tower) ...
Have towns occupying entire towers ... rather than huddling on the ground, the town's inhabitants inhabit still standing mega buildings where it's easily defendable against the mutagenic creatures roaming the city.
The Urban warfare of Fallout 3 was better than all tyhat brown waste oln 90% of the map .... so why not JUST have a map FULL of urban warfare?
Not only that but I think it would be interesting to play a Fallout game based in another country OUTSIDE the West ... a Nation belonging to the ENEMY of the US during the apocalyptic battle that turned the world into a irradiated hellhole. So instead of pictures of Uncle Sam, you have posters of Red China ... a sub story about how Hong Kong was 'liberated' by China back just before the invasion of Alaska.
No 'Brotherhood of Steel' ... or perhaps maybe a Brotherhood of Steel chapter that invades Hong Kong on an old Carrier vessel, set on tearing the place up for old world tech.
It would breathe new life and new personality into the series that is SO US focussed despite the creators (obsidian and Bethesda) pretend to state that the reason why the world is so shit is because China and the US both made mistakes in pissing eachother off.
Either 'put up or shut up' I say, show us a picture of the Fallout world from the OTHER side of the fence, unless you want to be mistaken for another US gungho-everybody-hates-us-therefore-must-shove-apple-pie-down-everybody's-throat offering.

OK, I'm getting a little annoyed by the responses here. Like I already said, I don't want to see a full-fledged Canadian Fallout game (although just about any other game would be great), but Fallout can still have those same overtones and golden age sensibilities in other places, it's just hard for Americans to visualize.
I want to see Fallout: London, but it'll never happen so long as Americans are shit-their-pants scared of anything that doesn't take place in the U.S. or some generic desert in Africa/the middle east. Grow up and realize there are other places in the world with distinct 50s culture.

Canada would be a horrible place to act as a setting for a Fallout game! What would be there? Snow? Forest? Look at all this snow and forest!

Like I said, I'm not sure if this stuff is canon or not. It's from a mod for a WWII grand-strategy game. I'm not so sure as to how closly is follows the Fallout canon. If I remember correctly I also know that as well as the aforementioned sentient-spider infested swamps, there are a bunch of genocidal robots up near the American-Canadian border. This mod also has a U.S.-ish government located around D.C. and parts of the surrounding states. So this leads me to believe that I isn't entirely canon.Julianking93 said:

No, a canadian city based fallout would not have the mass to sustain a full game however may be intreguing as an expansion and even then would have to break from the common themes and storyline of the fallout universe.
This in turn would ruin it's validity as a genuine addition to the fallout universe as it does not conform to the backstory which has kept so many fans comming back for more with each new release.

Wasn't Canada annexed by the US in the fallout background. That could add a whole other aspect to the game pretty much unseen before.

While more games need to be based around Canada and/or take place inside Canada, this is not the game. The Fallout series is one game that really suits the setting of post apocalyptic U.S.A. It would feel awkward if it were based in Canada after being established in U.S.A.
