I don't mind girls looking (read: drooling) at K-pop or Justin Bieber as long as they don't shriek right in my ears. Nor do I mind people buying and/or looking at erotic anime as long as they don't get all "These are perfect women, this is how the world should be! Or the embarrassing Dragon Ball AF Super Saiyan 7 Gotenkuhan fanart. Or the constant Linkin Park AMVs. Or the nerdy fanboys who think that all women in Japan look like borderline pubescent anime lesbian with sparkling bug eyes and massive tits. Or the reclusive fangirls that spend their lives writing yaoi fanfics about Edward and Alphonse Elric.

Nintendo/Sega/Sony/Microsoft/console fanboys. You know, the people that still think Nintendo are the best thing since sliced bread with no rival in sight and continuously buy the same fucking Mario game year after year because they?re too absorbed in 90s nostalgia. Or the Sega fanboys that still insist Sonic the Hedgehog is as great as ever and want to cling onto the golden Mega Drive days where they were Nintendo?s main competitor. Or the Sony/Microsoft douchebros who think that the Wii?s for little kids/girls/gays and that they?re so ?hardcore? with their ?mature? first-person shooters.

If I see one more picture of Cloud and Sephiroth kissing I will break everything in sight. And if you go to any Final Fantasy video on youtube with a decent amount of views, any at all, all you will see in the comments are people violently flaming each other over whether or not certain Final Fantasy games are shit and which ones are the best. That is pretty much all you need to know. Go to any Final Fantasy-related site or forum and it's all you'll ever see. Along awfully-drawn pictures of Cloud and Sephiroth having bouncy. And fanfics of Cloud and Sephiroth having bouncy. These people make me actually cringe a little when I tell people I love Final Fantasy..
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go stick my head in a toilet.

Perhaps "despise" is too strong a word, but they ship way too often and mention it way too much, and... well, that's my main grievance, aside from a sort of general distaste, but really now, if shipping was an actual ship, the forums would be a goddamn flotilla. Several flotilla. A million flotillas. An infinity of flotillas.

I openly loathe fan fiction, but I reserve the fifth chamber of my malformed heart solely to contain the bile that is generated by even brief exposure to 'shipping'.

TvTropes asserts that it is the female counterpart to "Who would win in a fight?" arguments that some blokes like to get into from time to time.

This I believe is true.

But only so far as to say that if a man has gone to the point of calculating figures out of thin air using a mixture of real world physics and guesswork in order to properly determine just who would win in a fight between Superman and Goku, then there is a very good chance that they might be just as every bit pants-on-head retarded as a woman who writes a story about the brothers from the TV series Supernatural traveling the Alabamian stretch of the 'Hershey Highway' together.

Mass Effect: Geez people, it's just a novel/game. Chill! ME3's ending was bad but not the end of the world.

No!!! It was a good 200+ hours put into each character you make when you try to explore as many story elements as possible. For an RPG,which has taken 200+ hours for me to get all the way through all the stages, to end like that, was and is a fucking disgrace. While I draw the line just before the "Retake Mass Effect" thing, every rabid fanboy and girl was totally in the right.

Moving on...

People who actively insult your tastes in music despite not being able to name a single band or song, and never having listened to one. It makes me very angry when you then go on to defend said genre of music, and then those who insulted the genre then consider you the "Great Defender of the Faith" when it comes to that genre.

Small parts of the call of duty fanbase, who call other shooters crap because they aren't realistic while boasting of their 360 noscope with a .50 caliber sniper while jumping off of a crane.
Following on from that, a large part of genuine realistic shooters like Arma 2 who call ther shooters crap because they aren't realistic, and calling everyone who doesn't play realistic shooters crap and "unskilled", while not acknowledging that while their game may take more skill, it actually isn't very fun.
