I am not a huge fan of the anime fandom in general. Many of them take it way too seriously and can be creepy about it.
Also Super Smash Bros fans who only play by tournament and metagame standards. One of my friends complained that I chose Diddy Kong because he was annoying and bitched that Lylat Cruise "moved too much" and that we should have been playing on Final Destination instead.

Frankly, if you're a fan of MLP then there's no harm in going on Equestria Daily (The main pony fansite) or fimfiction (the place to go for pony fanfiction), it's not like you're going to be shunned or anything. Embrace the good sides, strengthen them, instead of not doing anything because of a few perverted bastards.
