Because there are too many good overall bosses to count, this thread is just your favorite endgame bosses. Now this isn't the MOST challenging endgame boss, even though a lot of the best ones are challenging, there are a few that aren't.

My favorite endgame boss would either be GLaDOS from Portal for being hilarious to the end and a bit challenging, or The Archdemon from Dragon Age: Origins because it gave me such and epic feeling and was even difficult on casual.

Darth Malak for me. Easy if you know how but it still wrapped things up nicely and was challenging enough for my first time

The strider assault in episode 2 is a pretty epic showdown. Probably one of my favourites. By and large I hate end boss fights though.

I'd have to go with Lucius from Fable 2, that was one of the most epic battles I've ever played. The sneaky way you have to dodge in the slight split second he fires his Will beam to reflect back at you and then while he's blinded by his own powers walk behind him and give him a monster wedgie...no wait, I dreamt that, huh.

Portal 2 stuff
I'd say Wheatley from Portal 2, seriously GLaDOS was a fun boss from Portal 1, but Wheatley and the cores you had to plug in him were just priceless fun.

Grrrr. I cant decide which has a better story line to boss combo
Nier
If it wasn't obvious even after the second Ending, the Shadow lord is Nier's soul and Nier is the Husk, it was a very good plot twist. Plus the battle is Choatic and has awesome music
Dark Cloud 2
When you first here about emperor griffin he sounds like a pretty nasty creature. When you see him... its a Humaniod Rabbit. THEN he turns into the first picture you see of him and has an awesome battle with a tower climb up sequence.

Beat me to it. :D

Such an amazing fight, I really felt like the entire galaxy hung upon the outcome itself, the epic music playing during the fight really adds to it. Ironically I think it would make a better duel in a film than any of the saga films.

Getting Saren to shoot himself.

Easily the most rewarding moment of the the game. Or any game.

Battles that can be won with words are much more enpowering and rewarding then battles that are won with bullets.

But course Bioware had to include a battle with his robotic skeleton, because EVERY GAME MUST HAVE A FINAL BOSS. Even if it doesn't really add anything to the experience.

Persephone from God of War: Chains of Olympus was pretty fun, if not infuriating when playing on the highest difficulty. GLaDOS was fun and I was having a hard time trying to kill her from all the laughing I was doing.

The vault monster from Borderlands was okay, it took FOREVER to kill that thing, but it made me feel like a badass when I got done. The loot wasn't the greatest though, but I was kinda okay with that.

This thread makes me sad because I can't think of anything O_O

I mean, Kefka is my favorite villain, but as an endgame boss he isn't really anything too special.

Crap... I can't even think of the last RPG or action/adventure game I played through...

EDIT: I guess I'll go with GLaDOS because I did like that fight. Especially since I nearly did because I couldn't get the last piece to throw in the fire.

Just recently I found myself greatly amused by the finale of Dragon Age 2.

Especially because I'm an idiot and brought a party of three mages and a rogue to fight the Templar Knight-Commander. Still, the entire battle made me feel properly badass.

I liked the final boss in Portal 2 alot.

The fight with Wheatley is pretty much a subversion of the fight with GLaDOS in the first game, and while it isn't very difficult, it's just filled with awesome moments.

Also, the final bosses in both of the PS2 Kingdom Hearts games were pretty cool.

sonic adventure 2 battle.

Facing off against the Biolizard having fused himself with the ark as the super forms of both sonic as shadow with only 5 minutes to save the earth.

and to mention the kickass song going on in the background.

Pandak 'Baby' Panay from Just Cause 2.

For me, any final boss that has you

battling on top of in-motion nuclear warheads headed for the 4 major empires of the world while simultaneously disabling them, then sending an evil dictator to his grave via tying him to a nuke and then blowing up his own country

deserves an award in my opinion. Damn, looking back, that whole GAME was amazingly epic. I need to go play it now, I think :3

Since most games with bosses these days just aren't really fun, I'll have to go with Gannon from Ocrania of Time.

Any Devil May Cry game. Even 2. The music really makes them great.

Kinda related, I just finished Crysis 2 and it has the worst "boss" I've ever faced. 4 invisible dudes easily punched to death in armour mode on the hardest difficulty. It's redonk.

There's a surprising absence of

FUCKING GANON FROM OoT

(Although it's more epic when you don't spam light arrows like this guy)

That will always be the greatest final boss battle of all time. Unless something beats it. Which I doubt.

Psycho Mantis:I just like him
The Boss:The Battle is pretty challenging and the location is great
The End:Very well done and it's a new kind of Boss Fight

Well the one in the German factory was cheap as all get out, the one in the Italian lab always got me every time. I hate that mofo. My favorite was the one in the French office building. The one you fight on the sky way. He was tough, but not overpowered.

Oh wait, wrong ENDGAME... [http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/endgame/index.html]
