Battle Royale certainly. Such an amazing film, crazy story and some great characters.

The live action Death Note films were really good as well I thought.

I'd probably have to say Der Untergang and Letters from Iwo Jima(although technically that's an american film)
I agree, Letters from Iwo Jima was a great movie.

Also Howls Moving Castle and Hero, both are brilliant.

Thats a hard one so foreign films I like that are not American. If I had to pick one right now though it would be The Killer. Stars Chow Yun Fat and directed by John Woo.

"13 Game Of Death"

It was on a Blockbuster shelf and was a "Featured Movie." So I picked it up and didn't realize it was a foreign film until I realized that the title wasn't even grammatically correct (after I got home). It was good though. It was a little strange but a crazy thriller that anyone whould see if they know where they can find it.

"The Emperor and the Assassin" and "Seven Samurai."

I NEVER watch with the English dubbing. You lose the actor's original intonation.

I'm currently living in its country of origin but since I'm from the US I'll count it: Okuribito. The English title was Departures, I think. It's back in theaters over here ever since the Academy Award win.

I just saw the movie today but it was amazing (with only a few weird bits) and I cried quite a few times.

Oh, yeah, someone up there mentioned it, but I'm the same way. I hate dubbing. I'd much prefer reading the subtitles than hearing some hack destroy the movie.

I doubt I could pick just one. So I won't. I'll pick
And if Love, Actually would be considered British, then that, too, although probably not.
Lolololol

Also M is great too.

Oh, man, M is fucking revolutionary. As one of the early movies with sound, it was doing things with sound that weren't standard for years afterward. It was far and away ahead of the times.

Gone With The Wind.

(No I don't live in America, so that makes it a foreign film to me, okay? Good.)
