I didn't know anything from Deconstruction was released yet.MiracleOfSound said:Have you heard anything from Deconstruction?
It's... beautiful. Like, as in, 'the best music I have ever heard' kind of beautiful...
Tell me you didn't just have an eargasm!
While that is a (mostly decent list), you need to remove Shinedown, Trapt, Styx (really?), and Linkin Park from a "metal" list. Also, Dragon Force is power metal. I am insulted you would put Black Sabbath under heavy metal and then label Ozzy as glam. You know Ozzy was the lead singer of Sabbath, and wrote their songs along with Tony Iommi, right? You made many other mistakes with your sub-genres, but I would end up going off on tangents, so I will leave it at that. Though I am impressed you knew Sabbath played "Smoke on the Water" at some of their live shows when Ian Gillan was the frontman.CrazyGirl17 said:Well... I got a lot, so here's a just a few of my favorites (one song per band):
Heavy Metal: "Godzilla"- Blue Oyster Cult, "We're Not Gonna Take It"- Twisted Sister, "The Show Must Go On"- Queen, "Dreams"- Van Halen, "Smoke on the Water"- Black Sabbath, "School's Out"- Alice Cooper, "The Boys are Back in Town"- Thin Lizzy
Alternative Metal: "Fly from the Inside"- Shinedown, "Scum of the Earth"-Rob Zombie, "Animal I Have Become"- Three Day's Grace, "Enemy"- Sevendust, "One Day Remains"- Alterbridge, "Crash"- Papa Roach
Glam Metal: "Bark at the Moon"- Ozzy Osbourne, "Mr. Roboto"- Styx, "Civil War"- Guns N' Roses
Nu Metal: "No More Sorrow"- Linkin Park, "Bring Me To Life"- Evanesence, "Land of Confusion"- Disturbed, "Immortal"- Adema, "Chop Suey!"-System of a Down, "Headstrong"- Trapt
Thrash Metal: "The Unforgiven"- Metallica, "Back in the Day"- Megadeth
Industrial Metal: "This is Halloween"- Marilyn Manson, "Timelessness"- Fear Factory, "Nothing for me Here"- Dope
Power Metal: "Fantasmic"- Nightwish, "Replica"- Sonata Arctica (The original version that is, not the remake)
Also, "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragon Force, whatever category that song is in.
First off, thanks for pointing out my mistake. That should have been "Deep Purple who did Smoke on the Water", not Black Sabbath. That's what I get for not paying attention...rescuer86 said:snip
