Do you think people reading this post will suddenly change their minds and agree with you that family guy sucks?Spot1990 said:"Banality, banality, banality, cut away joke that was probably written before they even knew what the episode would be about, banality, banality, repeat because we think if something that isn't funny goes on for long enough it'll somehow become funny."
Admittedly they do have some funny moments but the fact is it has an awful writing staff and Seth MacFarlane's a hack.
No, I was just wondering why someone who clearly doesn't like family guy would go into a topic entitled 'Favourite Family Guy Quote'. What does insulting stuff other people like accomplish?Spot1990 said:Never crossed my mind. Why? This, absolutely this post right here. I just LOVE the way how fast they talk to each other, how odd Olie talks, and how normal it seems between the two of them. Olie is my favorite character on the show, and always will be.6unn3r said:Tom: And now to our weatherman Ollie Williams for the Blackie-Weather Forecast, Ollie?
Olie: IT'S RAININ' SIDEWAYS!
Tom: Don't you have an umbrella?
Olie: USED TO!
Tom: Where is it now?
Olie: INSIDE OUT TWO MILES AWAY!
Tom: Is there anything we can do for you?
Olie: BRING ME SOME SOUP!
Tom: What kind?
Olie: CHUNKY!
Tom: Thanks, Ollie.
It alleviates my boredom, which is more important than yours.Spot1990 said:And you calling me on it accomplishes what exactly?Bobic said:No, I was just wondering why someone who clearly doesn't like family guy would go into a topic entitled 'Favourite Family Guy Quote'. It adds balance to the world. A world where people just sit around saying they all love the same thing would be boring. Considering the forums are designed for discussion I'd say adding a contrasting opinion adds to the scope of possible discussions.
But truth be told I wasn't trying to accomplish anything just bored and thought I'd express my views on Family Guy.
I read the opposite somewhere(on imdb, I believe). That Adam West is a real jerk.Bobic said:I forget the precise wording but
Adam West: Somewhere on my body is a bullet sized piece of bulletproof metal and if you hit it you'll be the laughing stock of me.
Or anything else Adam West says really. God that guy's awesome. And I assume he's the same in real life. Obviously.

I get that look when people tell me Family Guy is funny.
That was my plan, yes.Spot1990 said:But my boredom led to you having something to do... I think we should just thank each other, but that might lead me back to the boredom. Do we have to argue just for its own sake now?Bobic said:It alleviates my boredom, which is more important than yours.Spot1990 said:And you calling me on it accomplishes what exactly?Bobic said:No, I was just wondering why someone who clearly doesn't like family guy would go into a topic entitled 'Favourite Family Guy Quote'. I'm not saying the world should be like that - God no! But a forum entitled 'Favourite Family Guy Quote' - sure.
Anyway, if it weren't for me and my boredom your statement would have led to no discussion whatsoever.
